41. Daniel's Meeting

"He who?" Angel asks when she will start dinner with Ariel at Angel's house.

"He's Ethan, my new personal assistant. He now lives next door to our house." Ariel introduces Ethan.

Ethan politely bent his body slightly and extended his hand to Angel. "My name is Ethan mistress."

Angel takes Ethan's hand. "Call me Angel." Angel turned back to Ariel. "If he lives next door to us then our noisy neighbor has he moved?"

Of course Angel was very curious because for years he had been used to hearing the squabbles of his neighbors and the sound of things breaking almost every day.

"They haven't moved yet, baby. What I'm saying is Ethan lives in our left-hand home that was just sold about three days ago." Ariel takes Ethan to a new place, in addition to keeping Ethan because it could be his former boss will order his men to search and finish Ethan also to be closer to the distance of their home so that Ariel easier if looking for Ethan.

"Oh so." Angel nodded her head a sign she was beginning to understand now.

Ariel hugged Angel's waist. "Don't mind if I invite Ethan to dinner with us?"

"Of course not, I might mind. All right then we should head to the dining room before my cooking gets cold." Angel also invites Ethan to join the dining room and dinner with the two of them.

Daniel was pondering in his study, so many problems he had to think about. In addition to the problems of the kingdom of darkness, he was also dizzy thinking about his father's condition which was declining by the day. It can even be said if the condition of King Arthur is critical.

"Have you tried to contact Ariel?" Daniel asked Alice, whom Daniel had told Alice to come to his study.

Alice threw herself on Daniel's couch. "Ariel ignored my calls." Alice snorted in annoyance because she had repeatedly tried to contact her sister but always failed.

Daniel breathed a tired breath. "And I want to ask him for his opinion also on this matter."

"Have you thought well of your ascension to the throne and the ministers' request that you marry Leona immediately?" Alice knew this wasn't easy for Daniel, but their younger brother who is on earth is very difficult to contact even though they know that Ariel will be fine while on earth but still, still, Ariel seemed to be more at home on earth than where she had come from.

Daniel gazes at the ceiling of his study, confused by his feelings for Leona. Tasteless, Daniel could only feel those feelings for Leona.

Leona is beautiful, well, although sometimes the girl can be a little aggressive but apparently it is not enough to make a heart of Daniel pounding.

"I'm just in doubt, I'm not sure I'm capable of marrying Leona." Daniel answers Alice's question, which gives him a headache.

Alice clapped her hands, leaving Daniel to be shocked and looking annoyed at Alice. "Good! If that's not the case, don't marry Leona." Alice said excitedly.

Daniel frowned not understanding. "What do you mean?"

"Nothing to say, I just disagree less if you're married to Leona?"

"Why?"

"Because I suspected him. But Mother really liked the girl, it was annoying." Alice's grunts unhesitatingly showed her dislike for Leona.

Daniel nodded in agreement with Leona. "I also wonder why Mother could love Leona so much and every day bring Leona to take care of Father in her room."

Alice raised her eyebrows. "I thought only I could see the strangeness."

The room was silent, both Alice and Daniel were busy with their own thoughts. Ministers have almost every day urged that Daniel immediately ascend to the throne in place of his father, the King and Queen have agreed only Daniel still beljm desire to become a king.

Had Ariel been willing to become King, Daniel would have easily given up his position to Ariel.

Daniel suddenly stood up from his seat and turned to Alice. "I'm going down to earth to fetch Ariel."

Alice's eyes were perfectly rounded. "You're crazy!!!" Screaming Alice, Alice immediately stood up to Daniel.

"One day Alice, please help me. You are my best brother." Rayu Daniel tries to shake Alice's opinion.

Alice shook her head hard. "No, I disagree.".

Alice turned around and immediately walked out of Daniel's study, leaving Daniel alone, increasingly confused.

Daniel breathed a tired breath, he walked out of his study down the caridor without a guard following him, even the eunuch who always greets Daniel was forbidden to follow him this time.

Daniel's steps stopped when he was in a very beautiful lotus pond, even fireflies flying on it as if racing to beautify the lotus pond at night.

Daniel took out a photograph from inside his dimension ring, where there was a portrait of him with a very plain glasses girl.

Flashbacks

A few years ago Daniel went to earth for an assignment, where he met a girl who was approached by two drunk men who tried to take the girl's bag by force.

The night atmosphere made the streets around become deserted, not even anyone passing by at all. The girl's bike was just lying on the street, maybe the two thugs did.

"Hey let go of the girl!!!" Daniel's shout made the two thugs and the girl immediately turned to look at Daniel.

"Who are you? There's no need to interfere in our affairs if you don't want to regret!" Hardik one of the thugs with tattoos all over his hand area.

"Go while we're still forgiving you." Said the thugs whose body is very thin and seen from the way the man stood quite unstable because affected by alcohol.

Daniel moved forward with tightly clenched hands towards the three men.

Unbeknownst to the two thugs, Daniel attacks them so that their attention returns to the girl they want to loot. Daniel hit the tattooed man in the face and kicked the skinny man until he fell.

Daniel immediately pulled the glasses girl's hand behind his back. "Stay here I'll help you." Daniel said in a low voice.

"Fuckers!!! How dare you hit me!!!" The tattooed man looked very angry and went forward with the thin man to attack Daniel.

Although Daniel was not as strong and powerful as Ariel but to knock down two thugs like this, it was easy for Daniel.

In a short time Daniel has been able to make the two thugs messy.

Daniel took the bike from the girl in glasses and gave it to the girl. "Why is it still night outside?"

The glasses girl immediately grabbed her bicycle. "I've just come home from working part-time, I'm really grateful to you sir for helping me. " When I treat you to a bowl of hot noodles in the cold of the night." The glasses girl smiled broadly, a smile capable of making Daniel's heart flutter .

"No need, I'm not hungry." Rejected Daniel but just finished speaking, Daniel's stomach rang loudly which made Daniel very embarrassed.

Daniel's face turned red with embarrassment, the glasses girl smiled widely and led her bike. "Come with me, we'll eat hot ramen noodles at the shop down the street.

Finally Daniel followed the steps of the glasses girl. " Hey wait!!! What's yourname?"

"Angel, and you?"

"My name is Daniel."

"Come on Daniel, my stomach is hungry too."
