Breaking the Promise

After resting, Angel woke up. He saw the wall clock at exactly 15:30.

“Hmm.. it's time to go home.” Angel muttered while shrinking her body.

He also held her cheek that was no longer wet. “I dreamt of you, Brother. It feels like a dream is real.”

Angel again took a rough breath. He had to go back to Adrian's house again. It feels so lazy. However, considering Alika and Fariz's anxious faces made her get excited again. He really did not have the heart with those two kids. She wanted to tell Adrian's attitude to Hendra, but Angel would not be so ugly to her husband in the eyes of the father. Fariz did the same.

“Be careful, Honey. Sorry Mommy can't take between.” Said Angel softly while continuing to hold her stomach.

Alika and Fariz smiled as they waved their hands and passed from the room.

Adrian approached Angel. He took a tissue and rubbed the sweat from Angel's forehead. Angel can only be treated like that, he was still awkward because they had previously been fighting each other.

“What is often like this, if come month?” Adrian asked who knew the date of his wife's month, even though the man never touched her.

“Not really.”

“But I noticed you often like this, if it comes month.” Adrian said again while crouching in front of Angel.

“Hmm.. it looks like the last three months were like this.”

“Alright, later if the Aunt comes home, I tell her to buy the medicine I prescribed. It's just an anti-pain drug.” Adrian said, while writing the name of the drug on a piece of paper that he got from Fariz's study table.

He approached Angel again and held his wife's body for the first time in nearly a year and a half.

“Sleep, I'll make you warm sweet tea.”

“No need.” Angel woke up again, after Adrian was about to lay him down

“I'll do it myself. You just leave.” Said Angel again. He did not want to be dependent on this man.

Adrian came out of the room and drove quickly towards the kitchen. He ignored the words of Angel and kept the wife warm sweet tea. Incidentally in this house, there were only the two of them because the Aunt and Mang Asep were driving Alika and Fariz to school.

“This, drink.” Adrian helps Angel to get up and gives her a drink.

“Thank you.” Said Angel.

“After your period is over, check with your doctor!”

Angel shakes. “Not necessary, it's okay. It's regular.”

“Disease should not be taken for granted. The ordinary can be unusual. Check that! I'll introduce you to my friend in the gynecology section.” Answer Adrian.

Angel just fell silent and looked down.

“Today you rest and do not go to campus first!” Adrian said again.

Angel nodded.

“In a moment, I brought you some food too, so as not to bother going down.” Adrian said again who immediately went down again and brought breakfast for Angel to Fariz's room.

After that, he placed the food on the nightstand that was right next to the bed.

“This eat!”

“Iya, just put it. I'll eat again thank you.” Angel said without a smile. He pulled the blanket back.

Adrian was still staring at Angel's slightly pale face. For a long time, the man sat by the bedside and just looked at Angel's movements. Angel looked at Adrian.

“You didn't leave?” Ask Angel, because usually Adrian has left at this hour.

“You kicked me out?” Adrian asked back.

“Not so. But it's noon, you'll be late.” Angel answered while looking at the clock on the wall of the room.

Adrian looked at the wall clock. “It's okay if it's only a few minutes late.”

Angel tries to lie down again, but Adrian quickly holds Angel's hand.

“I'm sorry, sorry for my attitude towards you all this time. Can we make up and start everything from scratch?”

Angel did not answer Adrian's request. His lips were muddled, perhaps because too many of Adrian's undressing words were still ringing in his head.

“Alright, if you need time for this. I'll wait.” Adrian got up from his seat and was about to leave the room.

Then he approached Angel. He put his face close to Angel's. Angel was still silent and not moving. Adrian was eager to kiss Angel's lips, but he saw Angel's lips silencing. Finally, Adrian just peeked at Angel's forehead.

“Rest!”

Angel nodded her head again with a faint smile.

Adrian did not think that Angel could behave this cold, he was stupid, from the beginning he had liked the beautiful Angel face since he saw the woman at the seminar two years ago. He saw a beautiful woman who was on the stage and received a gift at that time. Apparently, he was given a chance and immediately got the beautiful woman easily. However, his promise to the mother who gave birth to Alika and Fariz, made him keep that feeling and try not to break his promise by limiting himself to the mother continued his two children now.
