Call Me Your Baby!

Call Me Your Baby!
Part 33 Smith Challenge

"How is Ka? Not that Papa has warned not to spread the audience let alone this has entered the media!" Said Smith with his high intonation.

"Yes I also don't know why it can be spread with various segments of the issue." Raka defended her argument and stance.

"Lantas, what can you do to overcome it? Does your sister need to step in as well?" Smith was still with simmering emotions when his company of pride was nearing the point of collapse.

"No need, I can handle this."

"How is it? Karya Group has released itself into investors, now the company is in audit, can even get to the detailed examination by the state. You want to account for everything?" The father who was initially still sitting in his work chair was agitated and finally he stood up while tapping his desk using his finger.

"I'm sure my staff's performance didn't do any embezzlement, Pa!" Raka still continues to believe there is no embezzlement of funds because he has checked in detail the financial statements and there are no indications of fraud even 1 rupiah.

"You sure? Then why are they doing an audit with a search warrant?"

"Because of misunderstandings and lack of justification on the part of human resources. Next month's plan will be a coordination meeting involving many functions, of which all existing mutation data are listed nominally higher than in past years. That's because there's a new internal child coming in this year, so there's a lack of justification documents that makes the center suspect there's an indication of embezzlement." Raka who was still standing tried to explain slowly to her father who still looked confused, restless, and full of fear of the police examination.

"You sure?" The eyes of this middle-aged man stared intently at Raka.

"I am always in the office. Is it so hard for Papa to trust me?"

"Paaaaaa, it has reached the ears of the minister. Everything will be crosschecked down to the roots!" Azka who shouted while running thrust her phone containing the latest news.

Raka looked at Azka cynically, because Azka always meddled in any business. He could be the father's favorite son.

"Can you help your brother get it done?" Smith, who seems more trusting of Azka than Raka, offers to get Azka involved to shift the issue of the investigation.

"What the hell is Pa? He won't understand either!" Raka who had lost her patience was now at the peak of her emotions.

"Raka, your brother is a great business man. He has held several restos and everything is going well. What's wrong with involving your stepbrother?" Clearly Smith entrusted Azka to solve this problem, not Azka who helped Raka, but for Smith, Azka is a great business person who already has a name in holding the company.

"Paaaa please dong! This is a oil and gas company that not only involves stakeholders but also the government and people. Different treatments with restaurant companies that only involve stakeholders. Don't listen to dong! I am a graduate of energy management and engineering who clearly understands what to do. It would have been a different perspective even if it was just a discussion with him." Raka pointed at her half-sister who was right beside her.

"You're so upset like that, okay go ahead. Papa give you three days to clear the good name of the company and attract another investor to cooperate with us within 1 week. Can you?" Challenge Smith.

"Okay, I've done everything Papa's challenged to make sure she doesn't always get involved in my business!" Snapped Raka who immediately left her papa's workspace inside her stepmother's house.

Raka came out of the house without saying goodbye with her stepmother who was watching tv in the living room. Her stepmother just saw her pass by and without stopping her either.

"Damn! I really hate why it's always that little boy involved! Though it was clear he was a troublemaker's son long ago, but still always proud!" Raka stomped her hand on the steering wheel of the car that was still parked in the yard of her parents' house.

"Hope you're still there, it's gonna be okay." Suddenly his voice changed emotionally.

He recalled the figure of his mother who was so in love until his last breath.

Raka rubbed the tears that accidentally fell on her temple.

"Lo can deal with this, Ka! Mama's always around you, only now you can't see!" Raka tried to strengthen herself.

During the trip, he thought about how to solve this in three days. Instantly make everything okay. Of course, this time he could not be alone, he needed some people to help him complete this mission.

"This is a crazy challenge! Even the examination usually takes 7 working days, while this should be 3 days!" Raka who still imagined the challenge of the papa began to think hard how a quick strategy to complete it.

On this long road, he saw a cafe that he might need to rest and relax while sipping coffee so that his mind is fresh and can think more clearly. He immediately installed a left turn sign light to enter the cafe area. Raka parked his car right in front of the entrance of the cafe so that not far he had to walk.

He removed his seatbelt while pulling his phone out of his pants pocket.

"It seems I need Gilang's help." Her speech.

Raka goes straight down the car and into the cafe to order her favorite coffee menu.

"Come, caramel machiato. The milk is replaced by almonds and less ice." Such is the menu that he always ordered when visiting the cafe to order coffee.

"Would you like some food, brother?" Tawar the barista who pointed to the outlets of French-style bread.

"May, I want chocolate croissants." Added Raka.

"Aren't you going to eat butter or strawberry?"

"May you butter."

Raka immediately offered his debit card as a way of payment.

"Please pin it sis."

After completing the payment transaction, he went straight to the table he had chosen from the first day he came and immediately sat at a table directly facing the capital's street traffic in the afternoon.

"Hi Kak, here's the order." Said the Barista who gave his guest order and placed it on the table.

After the barista resigned, Raka took out her phone again looking for Gilang's name in her contacts.

"Come, where are you?" Luckily Gilang quickly picked up his phone.

"Still at Gaby's house. Why?" Gilang asked back.

Raka, who was more curious about what Gilang did at the woman's house, asked first what he was doing there.

"Who else is it?" Unexpectedly his tone was a little high

"Gaby's been with me." He said briefly.

"What is emotion?"
