Candra released Kiran's hand when they had entered the spacious courtyard of a house. It's still night, anything looks dimly obscured by the fog. The types of flowers that grow in the area of the house do not look beautiful, even with plants that propagate around the fence of the house.
The terrace was only lit by storm lights, so the supposedly nice mansion looked gloomy. Kiran raised one eyebrow, trying to find the cause of the house looking unsightly and creepy.
"This is my home" said Candra. "Look yuk!"
Kiran nodded, "I guess how it feels to be a night-time guest."
"Let me explain to you that you're a lost climber who's sick and needs help, so I'll take you home!"
"Yes, yeah."
Entering the house, Kiran chuckled in awe, also astonished. How is a house like that in the middle of a forest?
Candra's residence is not alone, Kiran has seen several other houses that become Candra's neighbors. In the morning Kiran will be sure, all take pictures to be immortalized and exhibited on Septi.
Candra House is an old building that still carries the classic concept of the Dutch style. High roof with large pillars as support. There are four large pillars in the living room covering an area of 8 x 8 meters. Two sets of sitting furniture for guests are made of teak wood.
The walls and knickknacks complement the beauty of the room all nuances ancient and antique. Typical nineteenth century decoration. On one of the main pillars there is a decoration in the form of black deer horns. Just below it is a shabby white cloth binding the pillars and the 1905 figure is stamped like an ancient relief, indicating the year the house was made. At least that's what Kiran thought.
Kiran felt a lack of light to spoil her eyes in the spacious room. The illumination only came from an ancient lamp that was hung in the center of the room.
"There's no electricity, Can?" kiran asked with her stupid face. The question obviously doesn't need to be answered because Kiran didn't find anything related to electric power.
Candra smiled, explaining in a lower tone. "It's not here yet, Kiran. Are you distracted by these lights?"
"No, I'm not a coward! Your family has all slept, right? What time is it?" Kiran squinted her eyes at the old wall clock that was in front of her.
"Through midnight" replied Candra. "There's no sign of time at home, it's just a display, it's been dead a long time."
"Geez, how can anyone live without knowing what time it is?" Kiran took a look at Candra's face which was staring at her expressionlessly.
"Do you want a break to be my living room watcher?"
"I'm sorry I'm overwhelmed by the old-fashioned touch in this house. All right, where am I sleeping?"
Kiran could only grin, what she did was indeed disrespectful. How was Kiran circling the living room and researching every corner without caring about Candra who continued to be next to her.
Candra turned her head inward, walking first followed by Kiran. Just behind the living room is the dining room, precisely the banquet room due to the large number of chairs that circle the large table.
"Sleep in my room!" Candra opened the room door for Kiran and told the girl to come in.
Kiran looked at Candra with mixed feelings. Never before had he entered a boys room, especially at midnight like that. What will the Candra family say when they see her later?
"I slept alone?!"
Candra rooms have almost no extra furniture other than wooden cots with white mosquito nets, two-fed tables and one wardrobe.
Candra chuckled amusedly, "You want company?"
"I'm not a coward, Can! But if you're here better, it means we'll talk until morning so your family doesn't suspect …."
"Let's wait a minute, I'll make you a warm drink."
Kiran glanced at Candra's back. The young man came out of the room with almost no sound of a bang on the floor. In his heart Kiran laughed at her shrieking self for having to be alone in that quiet room.
Not only the room, but the Candra house is indeed quiet like there is no life. Too quiet until the sound of crickets or nocturnal animals is heard.
"I'm going to go to the bathroom first, Can!"
"Come," take Candra. "Bathroom is in the back."
Kiran took off her jacket and followed Candra's steps through the closed rooms which were quite a lot. If it was a room, Kiran counted six doors. Three on the left and three on the right face each other.
The bathroom is at the end of the left and right rows. Like hostels. "Don't leave, Can!"
"You why the hell? He said not a coward?" ledek Candra's.
"Ish, this is your house, what if I get lost? Your house is not small, Can!" Kiran's reasoning sounded ludicrous. His head was indeed shriveled in the house with the dim light, it felt that in every enclosed space there was a life that Kiran could not explain.
Maybe it's just her feelings, or indeed Candra's house doesn't make her feel comfortable. Too large? Or because it's too quiet? Or because of the smell of incense that interferes with its smell? I don't know ….
Returning to the room, Kiran immediately opened the package containing satay. The smell of grilled meat returned. Kiran chose to focus on the food before her rather than take care of her uncomfortable thoughts.
"Let's eat both!" Kiran feeds the rice into Candra's mouth and thrusts a skewer.
Next he also began to eat without wanting to feel the satay that Candra said was delicious. His tongue could not accept the strange taste of the chicken meat that was burned either with the addition of what seasoning.
What was clear was that Kiran did not like the fishy stinging when the meat was chewed. Kiran only eats one skewer, the rest she forces Candra to spend.
Fortunately warm drinks made by Candra can cover the nausea. Kiran immediately finished the tea to warm her body.
"Not good, huh? You only ate one skewer!"
"Yes, it's weird!" answer Kiran honestly.
"Yes rest, morning if it is still not healthy we go to the postesdes!"
Kiran got on the bed, balking when Candra was about to put up a mosquito net. He only wears a white blanket that is available to cover the legs up to the chest.
"No mosquitoes, but please don't leave before I go to bed!" pinta Kiran with a face. The situation he felt was difficult to explain.
The door of the room was still open, when Kiran's tail accidentally caught a white shadow. Not just once, that's one of the many reasons Kiran's courage is dwindling. His sense of sight with no sense was suddenly sensitized to something that should not be visible.
Candra sat on the edge of the bed after closing the door. A faint smile imprinted on her thin, charming lips, "So now you feel fear? He said he'd talk till morning?"
Kiran touched Candra's hand with her fingertips. "Hm .. I choose to sleep just let mornings. I feel weird!"
"You're not used to it yet! Trust me, everything will be fine." Candra welcomed Kiran's finger, grasping it tightly. He knew Kiran was uncomfortable with the sighting in her house. "Sleep now, I'll keep watch!"
Kiran's heartbeat surged, Candra's face shaded and very reassuring as she spoke. They were new to it, but Kiran felt linked to the young man, all too soon. In fact, her heart started to drift apart when Candra smiled at her. Really diffuse.
Kiran yawned wide and disrespectfully, there was no beauty in the slightest when she opened her mouth like that. Candra restrained the laughter so as not to hurt the girl's self-esteem.
"It's sleep time!" candra said while smiling.
Something Kiran hated the most was when she could not control the drowsiness. "Yeah, I'm sleepy, and somehow I believe you won't take a chance …!"
"Sleep now, Kiran!" Candra chuckles, but Kiran is getting annoyed as Candra's command line weakens her nerves. Before long, Kiran's eyes were tightly closed and her breathing rose and fell regularly.
