Candra Kirana

Candra Kirana
Coffee and Corn

One thing Kiran felt when sipping coffee made by Candra was tormented. The bitter taste was unacceptable to Kiran's tongue. Even of all the unsweetened coffee he's ever drunk, none has tasted that heavy. Coffee made Candra bitter taste is very painful. It was not wrong for him to spit out that black liquid in the first gulp.

"I'm sorry" Kiran said unkindly. Curiosity made him repeat sipping the coffee.

This time, with eyes half glaring, Kiran desperately tried to swallow the pitch-black liquid that was already in her mouth. It takes a few seconds to neutralize the bitter and uncomfortable taste caused by coffee that is not much in number. Kiran even closed her eyes for a moment due to the sudden claustrophobic attack.

Kiran was still staring at her glass with an expression of disbelief until her breath was relieved.

The next second Kiran's head felt dizzy, her eyes slightly blurry as she looked at Candra who was smiling sweetly at her. Kiran blinked several times to get the focus of vision, until she had to turn her head left and right to reduce the heavy load on her head.

After some time, Kiran also smiled sweetly, her uncomfortable feeling disappeared, changing with a sensation that was equivalent to the love for the coffee. Kiran brought her coffee glass to her lips, blew a little so it wouldn't get too hot, then sipped it back.

This time it feels amazing. When compared to all the coffee that Kiran has sipped, Candra made coffee ranked first. It was delicious, sweet, thick with a million pleasures that Kiran had never had before.

"Crazy, the coffee can be this good, huh, Mas? Uh ... I call you what, name right? We're all the time." Kiran did not stop inhaling the aroma of coffee from her glass while continuing to sip bit by bit.

"Yes call me by name to be familiar. I thought you weren't craving black coffee, because your expression is like drinking!" candra said grimacing guiltily.

Surprisingly Kiran forgot the first taste of coffee that had made her short of breath. "It was delicious ... so good, in fact! What brand is the coffee, so I can buy it later made at the boarding house. I don't usually drink black coffee, but this could be an exception."

“Not on the market, this is family concoction coffee, so yes you will not find the coffee on the market, apart from me of course! But not everyone can drink hard coffee made by my family, let alone girls!”

With the belittling laughter of Kiran Menukas, “I am a coffee lover, so my tongue is adaptable. If you don't mind I buy it!”

Candra laughs at the arrogant tone of the girl in front of her, “You are not afraid of addiction? Not the usual coffee."

"It just feels so amazing that I'm interested. Where are you climbers from, by the way? Mapala isn't, from what nature lovers' club freelance?"

Before replying, Candra looked at Kiran long ago. "Freelance."

"Come here?" Kiran could not stop her eyes from seeing the young man's face more clearly. Their sitting distance was not so far away, but somehow Candra's face could not be seen clearly, as if there was always a thin fog disguising it.

"So, I quite memorized these mountaineering trails because of the frequent presence here."

Kiran clapped her small hands to praise, "Wow is great, where is your home?"

"It's still a mountain range, not far away!"

"You're also often on your own?" ask Kiran curiously.

"Yes I'd rather ride alone, but if you now like both because there are friends chatting! I'm opening a tent here, I think it's gonna rain fog a little more!"

Kiran stood up to help, "No need to ask for permission times, this mountain is not my own!"

Candra took out the entire contents of her backpack, arranged the place next to Kiran's tent and started setting up the tent with Kiran's help, and also installed her sleeping gear. "Yes, it will not be nice to disturb your comfort with your friends!"

"Oh, yes, no! By the way you ride alone but the luggage is very much, do you want to spend how many days here until the bag full of it?"

"There is no plan for how many days, this is mostly just food. Uh, I brought some corn from downstairs, let's just burn it for stomach contents!"

One large black plastic Candra took out from inside the tent, she took out some of its contents and instantly made a combustion preparation on the coals of the campfire.

"This is not how much, I once brought a sack. I accidentally opened the fireplace and started burning, nawarin every climber who climbed as a sales person. Corn mas ... maize mbak, corn, corn!" Candra giggled mimicking the usual hawkers at the terminal when offering drinks.

"Well, there's a lot of dong. No doubt you are immediately invaded by climbers and eat corn together while coffee!"

Candra immediately put on a grim face, her voice sounded sour as she gave an explanation. "Boro-boro they want to stop by to join, some even immediately run away with a bit of blue. Though I until yelled gini, free mas, free mbak cornnya .. free this alias do not have to pay!"

Kiran laughs at Candra's misfortune. "Maybe you don't think you're a real climber, Can! Or they're afraid of being poisoned, made unconscious and robbed after eating your burnt corn."

Without offense, Candra laughed amusedly. "Maybe, his name is also unknown to people."

The aroma of grilled corn spread across the camping area, Candra applied a yellowish-colored spice such as butter as a finishing touch. Kirana was completely starved by the sight before her.

Candra looks expertly turning corn over coals to get the right level of maturity, not raw or too charred. "Do you want a salty taste what's sweet, Kirana?"

"I used to be called Kiran. Try the sweet one first .. but I want the salty one too. Uh really you're like a seller until nawarin some of his corniness!" kiran said gigglingly. "If the sales in the square must be a lot of girls who queue to buy it."

Kiran almost praised that the handsome seller must be trading hard. But is Candra really that handsome-looking? Kiran did not get the clarity of the shape of her face. That handsome word appeared only from the sound of his mind.

Once again Kiran tried to notice Candra's face that was looking down on the grilled corn. It looks good, Kiran thought. The moonlight that was covered in black clouds further blocked his view.

Kiran promised to see him more carefully in the morning, taking pictures if necessary.

"It's been dead!" Candra offers one sweet corn.

Kiran impatiently blew the honey-flavored corn on the clove. Tasting after a bit cold. However, a burning sensation in the throat was felt as Kiran tried to swallow it. Kiran's tears came out because of the heat. Not because the corn had just been burned, but the heat exceeded the spicy flavor it had ever eaten. "Of …!"

"Slow down, it's still hot!" Candra approached, rubbing Kiran's back to reduce the unpleasant sensation, slightly massaging Kiran's back neck to make it more helpful.

A cold chill from Candra's hand seeps into Kiran's skin. It was too cold for human hands, but it could have been affected by the bone-freezing mountain air. They both don't wear gloves.

Furthermore, the corn eating event both became more delicious after Kiran got used to the taste. It's no longer hot, but savory sweet and Kiran likes it. "Great boy!”

Kiran spends three and Candra two. Kiran asked for two more for her friend who Candra immediately spread with pleasure. "Tomorrow if I still want to!"

"Well you want to go down and go up again?"

Candra chuckled, "Yes, too, will be tired if it goes up and down in one day. Or do you want to come to my house to take his corn?"

"When, Can! This is enough too. You did not ride, you want to be morning!" Kiran glanced at his watch at a glance. Almost four o'clock. Since there is Candra there are no more climbers who climb to the top, but usually the morning more and more.

"Are you sleepy?" ask Candra lirih. He also realized it was almost morning.

Kiran nodded, for some reason her eyes suddenly had a hard time opening. Drowsiness to attack without being held back.

Kiran fell asleep just like that in front of Candra, for no apparent reason. Kiran hasn't even been able to find out about Candra perfume that interferes with her smell.

From earlier, her small nose of kempis flowers inhaled a similar fragrance of incense, but Kiran always forgot when she was about to ask.
