Chapter 07's

After 12 years of disappearing, Skaayla returns home and sees Lucy, her loving foster mother, sitting on the couch. When she first sees Skaayla, Lucy thinks Skaayla is the one who wants to steal their home.

But Skaayla managed to convince them that she was Skaayla who went missing last year.

Lucy looks very surprised and happy when she sees Skaayla back. Excitedly, she hugged Skaayla tightly, not believing that her son had actually returned. Meanwhile, Skaayla sees how much Lucy misses him and feels good to be together again.

Eve is next to Lucy is not happy, because she knows that Skaayla is always hunting humans at night. Carefully, Eve continued to pay attention to Skaayla's every move, making Skaayla feel uncomfortable with her presence.

"Don't worry, Eve. Skaayla is part of our family" Lucy said in hopes of easing tensions."

"Eve knew Skaayla was part of our family, but how can we be sure she won't make us the next victims?" firmly Eve.

Skaayla replied in a low voice, looking intently at Eve standing before her, "Of course I won't hurt my own mother. But I won't hesitate to hurt you humans."

"Skaay, don't go along. Make peace, will you?" Said Lucy in a soft tone.

"Yes ma, Skaayla promises never to hurt a human again. But, do not think that this is because Skaayla is afraid or unable to defeat the knights who already feel this great ma. But Skaayla only gave the weak creature a chance to survive and for the sake of mama too." Reply to Skaayla while letting out her aura to suppress Eve.

"When you used to be so cute when you were a kid. But why are you so scary now?" said Lucy while stroking Skaayla's head.

Suddenly, there was the sound of the clinking of a sword from outside the house. Without a doubt, everyone inside the house immediately stood up and took a combat-ready position. Skaayla, who was used to hearing such a sound, swiftly moved towards the door and opened it.

Although they were ready to fight, when the door of the house was opened, it turned out that the one who came was a knight who served as a royal guard.

"Eve, how are you? I have come to bring important news from the kingdom to you," the knight said with a breath.

Eve sheathed her sword back and approached the incoming knight. Meanwhile, Skaayla was curious about the important news the knight brought. He waited impatiently to find out what was going on. The two of them looked at the knight with expectant faces, ready to receive any news the knight would share.

"There is a region in our kingdom that is being attacked by an army of demons. Duke Orseas, who ruled the region, asked for help from the royal capital to repel the demon army," the knight said seriously.

"I will go and help the territory of Duke Orseas" Eve said firmly.

"Can I come? It's a good opportunity to prove my promise, isn't it?" ask Skaayla

Eve stared at Skaayla sharply, but Lucy immediately responded, "Of course, Sky. You are his family and Eve needs you to help protect this kingdom."

Eve finally agrees to take Skaayla with them to Duke's territory asking for help. During the journey to the region, Skaayla wants to prove her promise to Eve and dispel the doubts that remain in Eve's heart.
