After the seminar, Christopher returned to his recess room as soon as possible.
The suite is empty.
Christopher looked at the phone on the coffee pad and showed a helpless smile. Did that little girl just run away?
He ran so fast with the title fiance Christopher Morgan.
Christopher took his phone and played it in his hand.
He clicked on the screen, and the screen still displayed the photo Rachel was looking at.
Christopher looked at the photo, his eyes softened, and he showed a determined smile.
__
Rachel waited for Professor Nick at the gate of the event venue and smiled, "Professor Nick, can we go back to the hospital straight away, or go to lunch first?"
"Back to the hospital." Professor Nick looked at Rachel and said, "What's wrong with you and Christopher Morgan?"
"When do you like to gossip like this?"
"Just curious."
"Don't listen to Christopher's bullshit, I've only met him a few times."
Nick Bateman saw it that looked like it was weird and didn't ask much. “What do you think about this lecture? What aspects do you think need to be fixed?”
"I don't usually listen to a lot of such courses, and I'm really a layman."
"That's because you're too humble, and your professional skills and theoretical knowledge are no worse than anyone else coming to attend today's conference."
"Professor, do you commend me?" Rachel blinked cunningly.
"Yes. When you marry Christopher Morgan, can I praise you more? In the future, there is no longer any need to ask others for funding for medical research."
"Poof, Professor, I didn't think you had this kind of sense of humor before."
"I didn't have the chance to perform before." Professor laughs.
Rachel laughed too. "I see my work. Photos, videos, and interactive questions from the lectures will be sorted for you tomorrow. Do you think it's appropriate?"
"There's no need to hurry, just get it done before next week."
"Hm."
...----------------...
Although Professor Nick says he must sort through the course material before next week, Rachel keeps a check on the various documents that night and hands them to Professor Nick as soon as he goes to work the next day.
As he walked into his room, he was startled by the situation outside his room.
There were many people crowding the corridor and in front of the door of his room. The nurses, doctors, and even the patients were there.
Rachel coughed lightly. "Girls, it's time to work. Can you have professionalism?"
The crowd suddenly dispersed, and Lira came out from the crowd. "Dr. Rachel, someone's looking for you."
"Who? Did someone use you to welcome me in a battle of this magnitude?"
"Look at me."
Rachel threw suspicion in her heart and walked into her room through the crowd.
By the window, a man bathed in the morning sunlight stood his back to him.
Rachel knew who the man was without looking closely.
Christopher Morgan's slender fingers tapped the leaves of small potted plants around him one by one, very quietly.
Hearing the footsteps behind him, Christopher turned his head and showed his sweet smile. "I need your help."
"It's a hospital, unless you're sick. Otherwise, I can't think of the need for us to meet." Rachel spoke formally.
"The situation is different now, ma'am, something's going on with Owen Morgan and the doctor's mom has to come with me."
Rachel was stunned, and Owen's petite face quickly appeared in her mind. He said anxiously, "What happened to him?"
Christopher was very satisfied with his expression and he grabbed his hand. "I'll say it on the street."
Christopher tightened his seatbelt and started driving.
He said nothing until the car left the hospital. "Owen had a fever last night and refused to be touched by anyone but me. The family doctor can't refer her to a specialist."
"She probably doesn't want me to touch her either" Rachel thought, recalling the last time she met Owen.
"Not necessarily, he likes you so much."
Christopher exuded a desire tone that Rachel detected. Although invisible from her face, Rachel could still feel it.
Rachel's heart started to thump. "How's Owen doing?"
"His leg was injured a few days ago. The temperature dropped in the past few days, the wound healed slowly, and there was no one around. The air conditioner was turned off at night, and he kicked at the blanket that made him uncomfortable."
Rachel silently nodded.
Somewhat far after exiting the main line, his car reached the highway.
Rachel has provided first aid to more than 120 patients in the hospital on several occasions. He was familiar with American road conditions and knew of the many rich and prosperous home environments near the highway.
But Rachel inevitably stopped when she reached their destination.
Many houses are buried in lush mountains, with only one corner of the house visible at certain times.
Even though it was late autumn, the trees on the mountain were still lush, and it was very important compared to the yellowing or falling trees in the neighboring mountains.
The car circled the steep road, stopping in front of a Mansion.
His eyes widened in astonishment when he caught a glimpse of the Mansion.
Christopher stepped out of the car and opened the door for her. He raised his eyebrows and looked into his eyes. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, where's Owen?"
"Above."
Rachel nodded and followed Christopher upstairs.
Christopher took Rachel to the room on the second floor.
It was a large children's room. The arrangement and style of the room shows that it is a very beautiful and delicate space.
Only toys, blankets, and books were scattered in the room, which looked messy.
Rachel sees Owen in a cartoon bed that is too big for her size.
The little man had a red face and was lying on the blanket, his stomach open.
His facial expression explained that he was not feeling well at the time.
Rachel asked, "Have you measured her body temperature?"
"I just measured it when I came to see you and it was 39 degrees."
Hearing that made Rachel uneasy. Too risky for a child to temperature up to 39 degrees.
"Do you have any medicine at home?"
"The family doctor has prepared her, but Owen won't let anyone touch her."
Rachel said, "Owen won't be touched, so inject the kedia."
But those words came back to him and he swallowed his saliva.
It is difficult for doctors to give injections to children, especially in the case of Owen Morgan.
"Please help him measure his temperature again, and I'll take the cure."
"good. The cure is in the next room, and the waiter will show you where it is."
Rachel nodded and turned to walk forward.
He checked the medicine in the medicine box of the next room and found the medicine prepared by the family doctor which was very comprehensive, so he took the medicine box and returned to Owen's room.
Christopher sat by the bedside, moving Owen's small body in his arms, coaxing gently and occasionally touching his bare feet in the air with his big hands.
Christopher had taken off his suit and was only wearing a white shirt at the time.
His shirt sleeves folded to the elbows, firmly keeping Owen's small body in place, full of safety and strength.
