Daddy, I Want Mummy...
Chapter 27's

"Lira, lend me your phone."

"okay." Lira immediately handed over her phone. "What to call Christopher?"

Rachel felt a little anxious and comforted by his question. "true."

"Then don't forget to delete the message. Otherwise, I won't be able to resist continuing to chat with her later."

Rachel entered Owen's number with a smile, however, it only sounded a busy tone a few times in a row.

Rachel frowned and returned Lira's phone. "The director will look for me later. Tell him I'm gonna go out and see him again."

"Your feet are still hurting. Where are you going? I'll help you go."

"No, just tell the director of my message earlier," said Rachel and limped. After walking for more than ten meters, his foot injury had gotten even more severe, and the pain was much worse than before.

Rachel could not help but be alarmed as her thoughts were fixed on Owen who was completely unreachable. Moreover, the environment where he lived was not in accordance with Owen.

He could only drag his injured leg all the way down to the lower floors of the hospital staff's apartment.

When he came down, he was sweating when it was winter.

Many doctors just came out on lunch break and saw Rachel's pale face. They were wondering, "Dr. Rachel, what's wrong with you?"

"It's okay. I'll go back to the apartment and look around the situation there."

While they were talking, there were several doctors coming down from the stairs.

"I don't know what happened on the fourth floor. I heard the screams of the children."

"I heard it too. It seemed like there was still the sound of broken items, and no one dared to knock on the door."

When Rachel heard their conversation, her face suddenly changed. "Dr., I'll ride first, and we'll talk later."

Rachel ran up without looking back, trying to ignore the wound on her leg. Across the corridor, he could hear the screams from the soft voice.

Rachel turned the door knock and opened it.

When he saw the scene inside the apartment clearly, his heart ached like it was pierced by a needle.

Owen wore thin autumn clothes and pants and stood on the floor filled with glass debris with bare feet.

His legs were scratched in some parts, and still bleeding.

When Owen heard the door open and he immediately turned his head, his pink and delicate little face mixed with panic and grievance, which was completely unlike a five-year-old.

Rachel stepped on the broken glass and limped over to Owen.

Owen looked at him carefully and stepped back.

Rachel was afraid that her little legs would hurt again, so she hugged her little body hard and coaxed gently, "Honey, I'm sorry. My phone was damaged by a patient's family, and I couldn't take your call. Are you scared?"

Rachel took him to bed and began to check his wounds. He found several wounds on the legs and back of his tiny hand.

He took out a small medicine box from the drawer by the bedside and quickly treated the wound.

Owen looked at Rachel's slightly different way of walking than usual and typed a sentence on her mini pad.

"What happened to your leg?"

Rachel knows that Owen is much smarter and more mature than the kids her age and Rachel has no intention of hiding him from her.

"Last night, there was a family member of the patient who made a little trouble. I was injured in the handling process, but there were no serious problems. You don't have to worry."

Owen looked at Rachel's smiling expression and continued typing lines on her mini pad.

"Why don't you let my dad handle it?"

"Let him beat up the patient's family? This problem is not that simple, but it is also not complicated. Still can handle it properly." Rachel laughs.

He took his little coat and put it on one by one.

"I have to work later. Can I call your dad to pick you up first?"

"Your leg is injured, and it's easy to get infected in the hospital. Besides, I can't protect you today, so I need to tell your father not to worry."

Owen lowered his head, slipped his little finger on the mini-pad, and wrote, "So my father will hate you."

"Your father and I are both grown up and will not hate me for this."

"Before, he hated women like this." After Owen finished writing this sentence, he immediately deleted it.

Rachel saw it. He smiled and said, "You don't have to worry about adults. Can I hold you now?"

Owen nodded stiffly and let her embrace him obediently.

...----------------...

Rachel brought Owen into her room and patted her forehead back.

Cellphone's busted. He just called Christopher on Owen's phone.

As soon as Rachel puts Owen on the clinic bed, Lira comes in and says, "Sister Rachel, the director is looking for you."

Rachel bade Owen farewell with the two sentences finished and he left.

Owen pulls out his mini pad after Rachel leaves and sends a message to Christopher.

Owen: Das, it looks like I accidentally dug a hole for you.

Christopher: Little rabbit, what have you done again?

Owen: Today, Rachel was bullied by one of the families of the patient, her leg sprained, and her phone was also damaged. I couldn't reach her, so I had a big fight in her little apartment in the hospital. Then he ran to comfort me who was hurt, and I forgave him. Then I accidentally said that you used to hate a woman because she couldn't take good care of me.

Christopher did not reply to the message.

Owen looked at his mini pad with fear and trembling and thought negatively in his heart about how his father felt back then.

So, he quickly typed a sentence on his mini pad.

"If you hate him, tell him clearly. When I grow up, I'll marry her!"

"Fuck up! At your age now, you've dared to rival your father."

"So what are you going to do to him? If you dare to bully her and treat her badly, I will be fed up with you every day!"

"It seems you don't hate me now. Quickly meet your little magical fairy Barbara and leave me alone!"

Owen read the sentence and felt his IQ had been insulted.

Quickly, he shuts down his mini pad and goes into a cold war with Christopher down there.

...----------------...

Rachel thought she would be salivated by the director, plus an afternoon ideological education. Unexpectedly, the director only understood the situation and then allowed him to focus with his injuries.

When Rachel returns to her room, she discovers that Christopher is also there. He glanced at Owen and thought that this little man should have sent Christopher a message.

Christopher looked at the little lady who was walking with a limp and asked, "Are your legs seriously ill?"

"Fortunately, walking is no problem. You have to take Owen home first. The resistance of children is relatively poor, and staying in the hospital for a long time is very risky."

"I'll pick you up tonight, so don't drive yourself."

"okay."

Christopher did not repeat anything and left with Owen in his arms.

Lira felt filled with stars as she looked towards the departure of Christopher and Owen. "Rachel, I'm so jealous of you!"
