Episode 6 - The Boy

When he finished cleaning his bag, Namjoon smiled at So Hyun. Then, he walked out with a bag that was only hung just next to the shoulder.

'The book...' Inner So Hyun muttered.

So Hyun's eyes caught the cover of the book Namjoon had read. He knows the cover of the book very well.

The same book as what he read before the In Hyong incident happened. Recalling the book and In Hyong his head felt dizzy. Since then, he has not read the book

The next day, Jimin and So Hyun got a turn to sit next to each other. Jimin makes use of Eun Soo who goes to a biology lab to study together with So Hyun.

Eun Soo, who is good at biology, entered the race list. So, starting today he had to spend more time in the biology lab in preparation for the race.

"Have you heard of Yoo sonsaengnim yesterday, not yet?" Jimin spoke slowly as he opened the pages of his science book. He spoke with eyes still glued to the charts of organisms printed in the book.

"Said he stabbed someone up to 3 times, right?" So Hyun replied with a busy hand writing a summary.

"stabbed? All I know is it's a claw of a wild animal. The forensic doctor said it." Jimin looked at So Hyun seriously.

'Batast animals?' Inner So Hyun spoke.

He stopped his hand movements for a moment and fell silent. He remembers a paragraph he read 1 week ago. The paragraph wrote of a discovery of a dead man with the claws of wild animals all over his body. Recalling that, So Hyun's body goosebumps instantly.

"Don't joke. Where are there any wild animals that can enter jumping over the concrete fence of the school?" So Hyun put the pencil down hard.

"Eitherway. I don't know for sure either. Forensic doctors have cleaned the dried blood all over Teacher Yoo's body.  The wound is different from a stab wound. Of the 3 wounds, 2 of them were scratches. Yeah, the other one was stuck. Precisely in the heart." explained Jimin with a slightly smaller voice.

"That's right." So Hyun said in disbelief.

He straightened his body. The longer, the body cooled. His palms also sweat. The feather stands. He felt like someone was staring hard at him and Jimin. So Hyun could only straighten up.

"You why? Your body looks stiff." Jimin tilted his head in confusion. He noticed So Hyun's strange behavior that seemed to hold back a feeling.

"Aniya." So Hyun said shortly. He tried to hide his sudden fear to Jimin.

"Hmm.. okay." Jimin is focusing on his book.

So Hyun tried to regulate the roar of his breathing that was starting to get irregular. It feels choked now. He felt that something was wrong with the situation around him.

Instead of wanting to throw his gaze out the window, his eyes caught a male shadow under the old maple tree.

So Hyun's eyes squinted to sharpen his vision. The man smiled at him with a sly smile, then waved at him.

At that very instant, the two fingers of the man approached his own eyes, then pointed towards So Hyun. If it is expressed in a speech. More or less the man said like this, 'I will always watch over you!'

Understanding the intent of the finger, So Hyun's body felt frozen. The girl opened her eyes many times.

"Y-imin-ah..." So Hyun began to piqu with that shadowy look. He fiddled with the sleeves of Jimin's school coat slowly.

"Y-imin-ah..." Call him again.

Jimin snorted in annoyance as his concentration was interrupted. He clicked his tongue, "What?!"

"That's... who?" So Hyun's voice started to shake. He asked with his index finger pointing straight towards the shadow that was looking at him cunningly and sharply.

Jimin turned his head, following the direction of So Hyun's finger. His eyes squinted, then he snorted. He didn't see anyone there. Only old maple trees began to grow moss on the trunk of the large cambium.

"Nobody was there. You're delirious, aren't you?" Jimin said as he kept glaring around the place.

"Try you see well. There's someone there!" pekik So Hyun's. The girl looked up at Jimin. His index finger was still pointing towards the old maple tree.

"There are also you who should see it carefully!" Jimin turned So Hyun's head back to look at the old maple tree.

"Nobody, right?" Jimin said flatly. Then, focus on the book again.

Then, So Hyun looked towards the tree again. That's right what Jimin said. There's nobody there. There was only an old maple tree still standing. The second time he had been like this, his body started to let out cold sweat.

'Who was that?'

As So Hyun was silent about what he saw, there was a loud scream from a schoolgirl, "AAAAAAA!!"

So Hyun's body immediately flinched, as did Jimin.

"SOMEONE HELP ME!!"

Not only the two of them, all of them were shocked to hear the scream.

After completing preparations for the chemistry and biology competition, Eun Soo lives alone in the laboratory.

The girl was cleaning an elemayer tube and some test tubes. Instructors and friends from other classes have also left the lab.

Painfully, Eun Soo tidied those test tubes into place. He also wiped away the tube he used to test the rate of a drink.

When he was done, he lifted the tubes and took them to a special cupboard. But not only there, he also had to put the material papers back into the vault.

He tidied up the papers, then stacked them together. Eun Soo breathed a happy breath after she finished cleaning it all up.

He carried the stack of paper in his arms. His hands were outstretched to unlock the vault. When it opened, he pulled the handle of the closet.

Out of shock, Eun Soo falls down and stacks the papers together. Both of his eyes widened when he saw the corners of the paper were wet with blood. He quickly got up, and stayed away from the piles of papers.

Suddenly the closet door swung open and closed by itself, to let out a loud enough impact sound. It also interferes with hearing. Eun Soo covers her ears with both palms. His body began to shake.

In between the open and closed closet doors, a shadow was seen in the closet. Long-haired, white, and tall. That was an. The girl smiled at Eun Soo strangely. Fresh blood flowed down his right arm. And, a sharp shard of glass in his left hand.

Eun Soo retreated her steps. However, the girl was getting closer. He walked out of the vault smiling with widened eyes.

The smile with the row of white teeth made Eun Soo even more frightened. He kept walking backwards. But the girl approached. Not only in the arm, fresh blood also flowed from the girl's temple.

"Didn't I ask you to help me?" muttered the girl with a staggered path, and a lowered head.

"I-In-In Hyong-ah." Eun Soo stammered.

"Then, why don't you help me?!" in Hyong's voice started to sound loud. He was still walking closer to Eun Soo.

"Ah. that..." Eun Soo is at a loss for words to answer.

"WHY?!" Shouted In Hyong loudly.

The girl's head immediately complained, looking at Eun Soo with a different look. His eyes were wider, like they were going out. The white part of In Hyong's eyes also released red veins, which was none other than his eye nerves. The girl's hand was also stretched forward. The skin that was white, now turned into wrinkles and veins were also visible.

"Why? Wh why? Why don't you help me..." In Hyong rubbed his eyes hard. Until the blood that flowed in his palm.

Eun Soo's breathing faltered, she continued to step back. His body had been hit by the window of the laboratory. The girl started fumbling through the window.

However, when he turned his body. In Hyong's figure with blood-splitting eyes was directly stuck to the window. Eun Soo's shock and fear were so heightened.

In Hyong smiled the same as before. However, it looks now like a grandmother with messy hair. Eun Soo's body staggered backwards, the girl had already let out her tears in fear.

In Hyong opened the window and began to bring the bloodied face closer to Eun Soo. Eun Soo closed her eyes tightly, and immediately shouted.

"YYYYOOOO!!"

In Hyong drew closer her bloody gaze towards Eun Soo who closed her eyes.

"SOMEONE HELP ME!!"

The look was getting closer...

"GET AWAY FROM ME!!"

In Hyong started thrusting the sharp glass shards towards Eun Soo.

However, his figure instantly disappeared like the wind when someone violently smashed through the door. Taehyung, Jimin, So Hyun, Namjoon, and all the students who heard the screams immediately ran towards the place.

Eun Soo opened her eyes slowly. His cheeks were already sticky with his frightened tears. His body shook violently. The figure of In Hyong who was like a grandmother was indeed too creepy to be seen by her mind. The other students looked at him worriedly.

So Hyun ran over to Eun Soo who was sitting with her body shaking. Seeing that So Hyun was already close to her, Eun Soo immediately hugged So Hyun tightly. Eun Soo's body is still shaking in fear.

He hugged So Hyun tightly while crying. So Hyun who was surprised by the sudden embrace immediately fell down to sit down.

"So-So Hyun - ah..." Eun Soo calls her name while crying.

"Yes, I'm here." So Hyun said with a warm hug back to Eun Soo.

So Hyun reached out his hand to return Eun Soo's embrace. He could feel the girl's body temperature cold and her skin paled.

Jimin, Taehyung and Namjoon walked up to the two friends. Eun Soo's crying voice grew louder as So Hyun answered her call. Jimin and Taehyung can only look at Eun Soo with concern.

The students looked very worried. Some of them chose to enter the laboratory. Although, not all of them know. In fact, their seniors started walking closer to Eun Soo who was still crying.

Then, Namjoon opened the window where the creepy In Hyong figure entered. The man looked around him, then looked up at the old maple tree 6 meters ahead of the window.

The man squinted when he saw a man sitting with a cynical smile at him on the branch of the big tree.

"Whatever happens, I won't let you bother them!" namjoon said as he looked at the man with his sharp gaze.

Now the smile of his dimples, had become a serious smile that was creepy.

"Wouldn't let me bother them, would you?" The man sat down while casually swinging his legs.

A dried maple leaf suddenly fell on his open palm. The man smiled sinisterly, and stared at the dried leaf deeply. Then, he closed his palm hard. The leaf shattered within his grasp for an instant.

He smiled cynically, "We'll see."
