Debt Redeemer Girl
THE GPH 54

"Father! Wait for me, Pa!"

Roger's shout managed to stop the middle-aged man's steps. He turned around and gasped when he saw Roger there.

"Ro-Roger." The man's voice sounded trembling. "Is this really you, son?"

Roger nodded weakly. Afterwards, Bryan immediately hugged Roger very tightly. Roger returned the man's embrace. Years apart make the two people let go of each other's longing even though their relationship is not too close.

"What is Papa doing here? Isn't Papa abroad?" roger asked curiously when the hug had just come off.

"Papa's been in the village for a month. Papa just lost papa's young wife." Bryan answered softly.

"So you're getting married again, Mom?"

Rosa's voice managed to make Bryan shocked. He didn't know if Rosa was there.

"Ro-Rose?" Bryan's voice was stamped. In fact, his tongue suddenly just like that.

"Mas, aren't we officially divorced yet and you're secretly married to another woman? You should have divorced me first, Mom," Rosa said. Every sentence that is spoken implies deep disappointment.

Although they do not love each other, Rosa is still disappointed in what Bryan did.

"Why? I thought you were married again because we were separated for a long time. Aren't you married to the man you love?" ask Bryan. He also looks equally disappointed.

"No. I've never been close to another man because we haven't officially divorced, but I don't think that you've remarried and betrayed our marriage" Rosa said.

"Ros, you should have been able to think from the beginning that our relationship is not good. My wife just died a month ago and I'm still taking care of everything that's not done. So, don't add to my burden with your attitude of always blaming me" Bryan said firmly and unwillingly to lose.

"Pa, why don't you try to mama's mama now. Fix everything and who knows you are still a match," said Roger.

"Roger, papa can't do that. We are two things that can't possibly be put together no matter what the circumstances. Better now papa pamit first. Papa's business is not done. You take good care of yourself." Bryan hugged Roger for a moment before finally leaving. Leaving them without looking again.

"Where are you going, Na?" roger asked when he saw Nazura running after Bryan.

"I'm going for a minute, Mas. You just wait here and I hope you don't catch up with me. I promise just a minute." Nazura leaves behind her husband and Rosa. He goes after Bryan who is going to the toilet.

"Master, wait!" nazura shouted stopping Bryan's footsteps. The man turned around and frowned when he saw Nazura.

"Who are you?" bryan asked confusedly.

"Mas Roger? Are you ready for my son? Why does your call look so friendly to her." Bryan was curious.

Nazura smiled knot. "I'm Mas Roger's wife."

"So, you're my son-in-law?" Bryan looked at Nazura in disbelief. Nazura nodded quickly.

"Why didn't Roger tell me he was married? It's so bad he didn't want to invite his papa to attend his wedding" Bryan said, disappointed.

"Because our marriage was not a grand marriage and was expected at first, sir," Nazura said.

Bryan turned his head and looked puzzledly at Nazura. "meaning?"

Nazura took a deep breath first. "Master, Mas Roger married me because I was made a debt collector by my uncle who owed Mas Roger a debt. In fact, when we were married we didn't even know each other."

"Is your relationship still good to this day?" bryan asked curiously as it seemed like their story was about the same. Marriage is not based on love.

"Still, Sir. It is getting better because I and Mas Roger are trying to open their hearts to each other. Understand each other."

"Is it that easy for you to do it?"

"No, Mister. Not everything is as easy as imagined. I was separated and almost divorced. However, it turns out we are still a match and it is precisely our relationship is very good now." Nazura paused his words. I smiled in front of Bryan. "I'm sure that you and Miss Rosa can do that too."

"Know what you know about my relationship with that woman. Don't be a know-how-talking human being!" Bryan began to get annoyed at the feeling Nazura was starting to interfere. They had not known each other before.

"Sorry, Sir. It's not that I want to patronize or anything. If it can still be repaired then what is wrong trying to fix everything. I'm sure Mas Roger would be very happy if he had a whole family and loved each other. Isn't that something that all children always crave?" Nazura remained calm. Believe that she is just trying to make her husband get the happiness that has always been dreamed of.

"I'm not sure I can do it. Moreover, I just lost my young wife. It was the hardest blow for me" Bryan said. Several times the man sighed, his breathing rough into the air. The shadow of his young wife never disappeared from the mind.

"I know that, Sir. I've also felt what you feel. I lost both my parents. They are the only precious treasures I have. I'm just like you, so devastated. But life must go on. Life has to go on as painful as it is. Let time define all, for happiness will be beautiful in time."

Bryan smiled when he heard what Nazura said. The woman's words have a point, too. However, Bryan was not that easy when running it.

"Sorry, Sir. I seem to have spoken too much. Well then, I said before Mas Roger came looking for me." Nazura cupped both hands in front of his chest, bowed slightly respectfully then rushed away from there.

Bryan just kept silent and looked at Nazura's back which slowly moved away from the eye view. "It looks like Roger didn't choose the wrong wife" he murmured.
