31. Fear of Losing

Neska is confused as to what to answer to Rion's question. Is he really jealous? I don't know.

"I'm just kidding, don't be so dumb, dong." Rion laughed while Neska rubbed her nape which was not itchy at all.

The conversation was interrupted when a waiter presented their ordered food to the table. They began to eat in silence but occasionally Rion noticed the girl sitting in front of him.

"You .." Rion's hand was stretched out, then suddenly stroked the tip of Neska's lips with a piece of tissue. "Eat it, it's a mess, anyway?" said the man interspersed with a thin smile.

Neska was stunned, she did not know how to respond to Rion's sweet actions finally she just cleared her throat-dehem not clear from her position.

"Sorry, I just want to help you clean up" Rion said with a faint smile.

Neska nodded. "Yes, I know," he said clumsily.

The meal was finally finished a few minutes later. Neska and Rion continued their sightseeing session inside the shopping mall. Rion bought some t-shirts for himself as well as a home suit for Neska.

"Udah is too much, Rion."

"It's okay, you're cool at home. So let's just say I buy this so you're more at home in Apart and not anywhere because I'm also busy in college."

Neska laughed at Rion's speech despite the fact that she was more happy at home with her hobby of reading novels or doing her college assignments.

"Now you're comfortable living here? I don't think there's any more reason for you to think about things in Indonesia, right?"

Neska gasped at Rion's question, her hand holding a t-shirt hanging from the hanger suddenly dropped. How could he actually want to buy a shirt for Cean when here he was bought a lot of clothes by Rion.

However, the laughter stopped when Rion realized that someone was calling him. That at the same time interrupted the activities of the two who were choosing clothes in a store.

"Why, Brother?"

Apparently, Rion got a call from Aura who said that he had arrived at the airport that was in the Lion Country.

"Ah, yes, Brother. Neska and I will pick up my sister there. Just a minute."

"What's? No need, why, brother?"

The look on Rion's face changed, inexplicably Neska seemed to catch the tension that Rion had shown for a moment. I don't know what Aura said from across there, Neska couldn't figure it out.

This time Rion's face turned mellow and uninspired. The young man put the phone back in his pants pocket when his call was over.

"Why? Everything's fine, right?" Neska asked Rion who had been silent about not explaining anything about the phone just now.

"It's okay, anyway. Yeah, let's go to the cashier to pay for the groceries." Rion pulls Neska's hand and takes her to the cashier at the end of the room with the latest clothes from young people their age.

Until he finished paying, Rion looked a lot silent, making Neska wonder why Rion suddenly changed after receiving a call from Aura who said he had arrived in Singapore.

"We're home, right? It's dark too" said Neska amid their silence.

To be honest, Neska was curious as to what made Rion's mood change, but she was reluctant to ask him further.

"We're here first. Aura sister wants to come here. If we go back to each apartment, then he will have to go to your apartment again after my Apartment. So, we'll meet him first huh. Aura's sister was on her way here after I said we were here."

Neska nodded obediently. "Okay, I think it's better. We'll just wait there, yuk." Neska pointed to a chair that was between the mall corridors that were provided for visitor seating.

"You tired?" tanya Neska broke the silence that Kemabli created after they sat there.

"Not really," said Rion as he slicked his shoulders. The young man smiled wryly. "You're tired, huh?" guess it.

Neska shook her head. "I'm not tired, but I see you've been a little quiet since I received Kak Aura's phone call earlier" he explained.

Rion let out a long sigh then looked at Neska with a gaze that was difficult to describe. Tight, very clingy.

"After being with us all this time .. I want to be with you."

Suddenly, Neska felt that the conversation that would occur between her and Rion would be serious.

"W-what?" asked Neska hesitantly.

"Nes, after we were together, did you have any affection for me? Are you afraid of losing me? Or is that feeling like it doesn't exist at all for me? I want you to answer honestly, Nes."

Just this time Neska saw Rion's gaze this eleventh. Usually, this young man always presents his typical warm smile that feels reconciled and hints that everything will be fine.

"Why are you asking me that?" Instead of answering, Neska returned to asking questions.

"Jawab, Nes. I need your answer, not some other question to help you avoid my question." This time Rion's voice sounded emphasized, more resolute than usual but there was no emotion there.

"I-I, actually I'm getting used to being with us."

"Other than that?" Rion stared at Neska's eye bead. "I asked, do you have any love for me? Afraid of losing me? Answer one of those questions is enough, Nes," he added.

"Is that necessary? I feel-"

Rion suddenly laughed softly which sounded discordant. She knew Neska would continue to avoid her questions when it came to feelings.

"What's the meaning of our time together, Nes? Can't you see my sincerity with you?"

"Rion .. That's not what I mean. What are you, anyway? All of a sudden, a lot of things like this? I don't understand why you suddenly changed and so questioned my feelings? Can't we just do it as usual? Why-"

"Enough, Nes," cut Rion. "I know you won't be able to answer my questions. Yeah, I'm not gonna ask you again," he said.

Neska gawking. He didn't expect it to be like this. There was a debate with Rion without him knowing the trigger that made this young man question about taste.

"And .. If you want to know why I suddenly asked this, the answer is only one, Nes. I ... fear losing you. You're my girlfriend, but your heart isn't for me."

"Rion ..."

"I'm afraid of losing you. I just want to make sure how you feel about me when I can tell you how someone feels about you."

"You mean?"

Rion smiled bitterly, as she wanted to open her mouth and explain to Neska the meaning of her fear, that second also the voice of someone greeting them.
