Keisha looked at the few people sitting at the dining table, as if waiting for him with a savage look. Like a lion staring at prey that come willingly for them to eat together.
Except one guy. A woman who from yesterday did not reproach herself even though she looked very angry and sad.
A hijab-wearing woman who kept looking at him with great fortitude in her heart.
Aina was not smiling. But also does not show a face of hate when you see it. He just kept quiet, looking at Keisha with a straight and focused gaze.
Soon she smiled after looking at Keisha's performance tonight.
"Thank you for taking my advice on your clothes tonight. You look charming" said Aina, smiling gently and letting Keisha sit next to Fauzan.
While Aina herself, sitting on the other side of Fauzan, accompanied by Alva and Nuri who lined up next to her.
Hearing the compliments and smiles from someone for the first time after he came from earlier, Keisha also looked raucous. The faint frown on her forehead made Aina look at her with a wistful smile.
"Yes, it must be heavy for her to come this way," Inner Aina, tried to come back stoic when she saw him. "Yes, the one who suffers is not just me. But he also suffered," his inner self, again.
"Sit in peace, Keisha. No one will hurt you as long as I'm here" Aina said, sighing deeply, as she watched Keisha grow tense as she faced her two in-laws.
Aina sighed again for the next time, looking at the people who seemed unhappy with Keisha's presence here.
"Please," Aina said, making all the attention that was once centered on Keisha, now move on her. "Eat quietly without anyone intimidating him. The one who invited Keisha was me, not him who came without knowing himself."
"How can I eat if my son's housekeeper is here, Keisha?! I can't bear to see you hurt, or Fauzan uncomfortable with coming!" said Ragi, Father of Fauzan and Fadil, in-laws of Aina.
Aina turned to her in-laws with a gentle look. "Dad, I allowed him into my family after Mas Fauzan asked permission to propose, yesterday."
Deg ....
"Right, you asked Aina for permission for polygamy, son?" fatimah asked, trembling.
Fauzan lowered his head, unable to see the gazes of everyone who looked demanding an explanation to him.
"I asked for it" said Aina, again making the attention centered on her.
Similarly, Keisha who can only continue to be stunned to hear every discussion discussed at this dining table.
"I asked Mas Fauzan to ask me for permission, to propose to Keisha." Aina stiffened herself, holding back tears and pain in her throat every time she spoke. "I asked Mas Fauzan to legally marry Keisha. I allowed it," he continued, showing a sincere smile.
"Aina, how could you make that choice without discussing it with us?" fatimah asked, looking at her daughter-in-law with a painful look.
"Sorry, Ma. But this is the best way for their child" Aina's great-grandson, making everyone even more surprised.
"Kids? Whose son do you mean?!" jolt Yeast, until standing up from her seat, and stared angrily at Aina.
"Keisha is pregnant with Fauzan's child, Well," said Fadil, short, solid and clear.
Everyone was surprised instead of playing and directed all his attention with his gaze at Fauzan and Keisha who were silent with shrunken guts.
Yeast took a glass of water and raised it high, about to throw it at Fauzan, but stopped Fadil in time.
"Dad! Don't act rude. There are kids here!" angry Fadil, woke the 67-year-old man from his anger.
"Let go of Daddy's hand! Let me beat up that bratty kid! How could he do such a despicable deed when his parents never taught him anything bad. Let go of Dad, Fadil! Let Daddy punish your sister it–"
