My daughter Marioneth

Aarrgh!! Weight.really the weight of Terre's head at the moment. His eyes were still too heavy to open completely. His body was too weak to move. But he heard the Husband and Wife open the door, carrying him on the bed.

"You see? God has given us a beautiful daughter. He's our dear Marioneth..."

"Marioneth is gone. What if this kid's looking?" the husband commented making the Wife sigh deeply.

"He's just one of the baby girls. But now, he will be our Marioneth. Oh, how very similar the two of them are"

"Yes, like a pair of identical twins"

"I love you Marioneth, thank you for coming back to your Mommu" said the Wife. Terre felt someone embrace her warmly. Terre could also feel something stabbing his arm. Like a.syringe.

It was late at night, Terre still had not returned home. It's not usually that the boy disappears without news. Dominic begins to worry about what else one of his sons says, Terre just went to buy some textbooks, but until now, the boy has not shown the trunk of his nose.

The cops? Ah, the police really can't be expected at this time because Terre hasn't disappeared for 24 hours. But...no one will know, no, what happened to him, before the 24 hours came?

"Mrs. Dominic.." said a middle-aged man approaching him with a gasp of breath.

"Hows it? Did you get any Terre tracks?" dominic asked hopefully but soon disappeared as the middle-aged man shook his head while opening his hat to wipe the sweat that flooded his temple.

"The boy disappeared without a trace. Are you sure? Terre didn't play to his schoolmate's house?"

"Hugho.I've contacted all of his school friends the results are always nil.." Dominic said with a shaky step. He wouldn't forgive himself if something happened to Terre.

The conversation between Dominic and Hugho is overheard by Amanda. The little girl's eyes were reddened from crying all day knowing Terre had disappeared into the earth. The forest!! Yeah, didn't Terre have to go through the woods to get to the store in town?

Was he lost there and lost his way? Amanda wants to know. So, while all the rest of the house's residents were asleep, Amanda decided to go look for Terre's whereabouts through her bedroom window.

"Manda, what are you doing?" asking someone to whisper to her made Amanda aghast and turned her back to find out who the owner of the voice was.

"Kevin, you made my heart almost go out!!" yelp Amanda patted her chest.

"Your fault. Why are you sneaking around in your own room like a thief" said Kevin cupping his hands to his chest as he looked at Amanda suspiciously.

"Sssst. Okay, I'll tell you, if I, I'm gonna find Terre now" Amanda whispered, asking Kevin to turn down her voice.

"What!!" scream Kevin who immediately smothered his mouth with Amanda's right hand.

"But it's late in the night Manda, can't you wait until the sun comes up??" kevin's protests that try to keep him out of Amanda's reach.

"No. Terre could be in danger. The sooner Terre is found, the better, right? Ah, nevermind. You stay here, and I'll go" Amanda said, jumping out of her bedroom window.

Damnit damnit!! Why would he see Amanda's crazy behavior tonight? As the oldest boy in the orphanage, he felt like a loser if he let a young girl, crawl alone at night. He had to jump and follow where Amanda took him.

Kevin immediately held back Amanda's steps that began to approach the forest.

"Are you crazy? What are the nights you go in there for? What if there are a lot of wild animals in there?!" Kevin warned.

"Isn't Terre not also found? Of course they haven't looked for him in there at all. I want to check out Kevin's woods"

"But this is too risky. What if our lives are threatened in there?"

"You can bring this. I'll bring one more. Take it" Amanda said, handing a penknife to Kevin's palm. This girl was too reckless.

They went to look for Terre instead of hunting!! But Kevin can't win against that stubborn kid. Finally, inevitably, he was dragged into the wilderness. Armed with two centers in hand, the two walked with noisy steps as they always stepped on the dry foliage strewn across the ground.

Time and time again Kevin shines towards one tree to another making sure there are no wild animals, hunger is lurking around them.

"Do you see that over there? Isn't that a light bulb?" ask Amanda to Kevin staring fixedly at an old wooden house.

"I never knew there would be a human living in such a scary place" Kevin replied in astonishment.

"There are no forest rangers, who live there. Should we just ask if Terre's here or not?" amanda's asking makes Kevin doubtful. Yeah, they could be rangers.

But what if they're illegal loggers? Then because Kevin and Amanda can bear witness to their crimes, they will gladly take the lives of Kevin and Amanda.

"That could be a bad idea, kid"

"Indeed why? We're just going there asking for a missing child, right?"

"What if they're illegal loggers? Our lives are at stake" Kevin said, stressing Amanda's word of life. The little girl immediately shuddered in horror.

"We'd better get there, without their knowledge. We can see if Terre is around or not okay" Kevin said seriously. Amanda just nodded obediently then slowly but surely they settled closer to the target.

"Auch!!" amanda's shout made Kevin aghast looking at Amanda for a moment. What's wrong with that girl? Why is he just frozen?

The tension was caused by, accidentally, Amanda stepping on one part of the Terre bicycle tire! Amanda glared as she pointed at the bicycle she accidentally stepped on top of it.

"Terre. The bike's here" Amanda whispered to Kevin. Screeches Amanda just now, making the owner of the wooden house open the door of his house raises a very loud sound of wood friction.

Kevin, who realizes that things could be very dangerous when they are caught looking for Terre, pulls Amanda's hand into hiding. They chose to hide behind an old reot hut next to an eak tree.

The middle-aged man carrying a rifle that was coiled around his neck was stopped right where, Terre's bicycle was found. He was looking for something but nothing suspicious.

"I think Marioneth we're hungry baby!! Bring me some fat venison!!" shouted a middle-aged woman who looked out staring at her husband.

"Will I try!! Comein!!" shouted the middle-aged man. He walked towards the reot hut. Whether by instinct or whatever, the middle-aged man seemed interested in heading towards the hut reot. Seeing the middle-aged man getting closer towards the two of them, they finally stepped back.

But the decision of the two retreated, making them both slip down the steep ground.

"Ah, here it is." said the middle-aged man after opening the old hut and picking up a new rifle, which he had deliberately hidden inside the haystack. He walked out of the hut while whistling merrily.

"Amanda, are you okay?" whispered Kevin while covering his nose.

"I can't stand the smell of this Kevin. What is this place exactly?" ask Amanda nauseous because she can't stand the smell of rancid and foul odor that comes out together. Kevin patted his forehead considering he had brought a match that turned out to be useful also when it was critical like this. He reached into his pants pocket and tried to turn on.

Cresssssshh...

The sound of fire produced when the match was lit. Amanda was just stunned by the unusual sight there. Bones, also human skeletons scattered everywhere there were even those left piled on each other!! Whatisthis? Mass graves? Are they victims of the crimes of the middle-aged Man and Woman?

Oh my God..how is Terre's fate now? Is he still alive? Or was he killed? Amanda stood up with a body shaking violently. While Kevin almost fell down due to stumbling with one of the bones.

"We need to get out of here. Come on!!" exclaims Kevin guiding Amanda who began to limp to walk to find a way out. They continued walking down the hallway after the passageway. Stepping step by step jumping over the scattered mines of bones.

They continued to look for a way out but every hallway they walked down, almost looked the same. Dead end!! End their history!! Now they must wait for their time to be found and die, or stay here to die of starvation.

Oh, they shouldn't have left the house alone, but if they weren't as determined today, then no one would know that there were two lunatics up there, they're sniffing their old friend! Stupidly enough, just know that there will be no one, who can help here. There must be survivors, right?

No...no...they have to hold on for Terre!! Yes, they fell asleep from exhaustion.

The whistling sound of birds sounded very melodious. They sing, they sing to each other. Both Terre's eyes opened slowly. Where's herself? What the hell is he doing here? And...one more thing, who is he? Why can't he remember his past?

"Darling, you're awake...?" asked a middle-aged woman into the room, carrying a bucket made of wood.

"You, who?"

"I? Oh Marioneth, are you kidding me? You don't remember me, honey?" the woman asked softly and stroked her hair lovingly. The little girl just shook her head in confusion. Over and over again he looked all over the room trying to remember the slightest memory in this room.

"Don't force it. That time, you swam in the lake, and your head hit the rocks. It's okay, I'll help you remember something dear" said the woman, squeezing a white towel, and wiping Terre's face.

"Who am I?"

"Maryoneth. Of course" replied The woman was still busy bathing the little girl.

"And who are you?"

"Of course your dear Mommu." he said flatly.

"I can shower myself. I'm not sick.let me take a shower myself please. Where's Mom's bathroom?" terre said she refused special treatment from the woman who claimed I was her mother.

"You hurt baby, your legs are paralyzed" he said, still wiping Terre's back. Paralyzed? Himself? Butwhy? Unable to accept himself being said to be paralyzed, Terre tried to get up but he fell down on the wooden floor, feeling his two heavy legs to move.

No!! Paralyzed?! It was like the end of his life! He cried while beating his useless legs. Not even the pain he felt!!

A ray of sunlight blinded Amanda's eyes. The light? That means..there's a way out, right? Amanda hastily wakes up Kevin who is asleep next to her.

"Kevin!! I saw the light at the end of the hallway!! There's a way out for us!!" yelp Amanda trying to wake Kevin up.

"good. Let's go out now and devise a strategy to save our Terre" Kevin said excitedly after seeing the exit in plain sight.

They walked slowly but deservedly from last night they felt there was no way out. Sure oes. In the corner of the hallway, there is a hallway like a small tunnel that can only be passed by one person by creeping of course. They both stood by it.

First, Kevin went in to see if there was a dangerous trap in there.

"Manda, all safe!! Except for the cobwebs" whispered Kevin as he continued to crawl followed Amanda behind him.

They accelerate the pace of hand and foot creeping like a walled pedicab. Suddenly Kevin's movement stopped. His breathing roared loudly as if there was danger threatening him. Amanda wants to ask what's going on up ahead? But.he knew, if he was noisy, the crazy duo easily found both. Kevin tensed!! Cold sweat splashed on his temples. The middle-aged man pointed the rifle towards the hole where Kevin and Amanda were.

Does he know where they are? Is this the end of their lives? Kevin almost forgot how to breathe!!

"Darling!! Help me!! Marioneth we fell!!" the middle-aged woman shouted in a panic.

While the middle-aged man, was already about to peek at the gap of the rifle to see his quarry, but due to his wife's shout, he immediately ran into the wooden house. Kevin again breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the door of the wooden house slammed shut. Deftly, he moved crawling out of that stifling crack.

Kevin immediately helped Amanda out of the hole.

"You hear? From last night, the woman always mentioned Marioneth's name. But we didn't find Terre at all" Amanda half-whispered.

"Don't keep him in the house. We have to investigate the entire contents of the log house" Kevin said, coding Amanda to follow in his footsteps.

The two of them slithered from one wooden wall, to the other side of the wooden wall! A wide open window made them feel they had a chance to look inside. How shocked they were, seeing the messy figure of Terre in a continuous skirt crying hysterically in the arms of the middle-aged Woman.

"You'll be fine, baby, as long as we're around" said the woman, peeping Terre's head.

"Marioneth, don't leave us again" said the woman. Slowly they let Terre calm down and left him alone on his bed. But they closed Terre's room window first.

Kevin eavesdropped and heard the sound of the door being closed and locked from the outside. Hurriedly he took out a folding knife to break the lock of the window of the room Terre occupied. It worked!! They were relieved to be able to easily break through that window.

"Manda, you come in and take Terre out. I'm here, just in case"

"OK," Amanda replied as she jumped inside. Amanda stepped onto Terre's bed but stumbled to the table until she spontaneously felt pain.

His eyeballs were fixed on something under Terre's bed. He stared in wonder why there was another girl hiding under Terre's bed? Finally he poked the little girl under Terre's bed. Who poked silently forced Amanda recklessly pulled the body of the little girl out of the undercarriage.

His hands shook violently, he gulped repeatedly. What the fuck? Wax doll? Very similar to Terre!! Like a twin brother!! What the hell's going on? Amanda hurriedly stood up and sat down beside the confused Terre.

"You...who?"

"Terre, what are you talking about? Just gone a day is as good as this" Amanda said, pinching Terre's cheek.

"Terre? Wh who? I'm Marioneth" he said slowly unfocused. No...What's with a friend like this?

"You, Terre. They lied to you. Come with me now" Amanda said as she groped Terre's hand but it was shocking!! Terre fell out of his bed.
