Doppelganger: Detective Frans' Adventure
Catastrophe on the River

The cold seemed to make the skin freeze and then disintegrate like melting ice. While standing on the river bank, the gunshot was heard from behind us. Everyone looked back and turned themselves into one. Who fired the shot just now? The sound of insects was heard again. The river stream churned and rippled piercing ears that were still buzzing due to the screeches from the sound of gunfire.

We walked back slowly towards the riverbank. Our eyes are not separated from the shrubbery that wiggles. There must be something behind the bushes. Yulia moaned in fear, she pulled my clothes very hard. While Frans bowed and took a pebble and threw it towards the lush bush.

The bushes were silent again, then swayed again followed by a tall figure that came out from behind the grass. All eyes were stunned as it turned out that he was the one who fired the gun just now. He came out with a smiling face then pointed a flashlight at his face. Apparently He's the Code-Breaking Dog, Frans' rival.

He chuckles. “Hahaha.. You guys are like being surrounded by ghosts.” Jason stepped towards us while holstering his empty gun. He also followed us into the forest. I don't know what's going to happen between Frans and Jason.

“What do you want, Jason? Why are you following us so far,” asked Frans.

“I'm sure I'd like to join this very interesting case. Just so you know, I have been following you since Frans' house and was in the empty house you visited before.”

“How dare you follow me!” Frans windy.

“Tenace. I've also been investigating one of Mr.'s men. B kidnapped your first client. The police who met you earlier are my man, I have found out about the body of Hartanti's husband who mysteriously disappeared.”

“So it was you?” Frans began to subside from his emotions.

It turns out that the cop who came to Hartanti's house was Jason's man. If that cop had a relationship with that guy, would Jason work for the government? I'll find out later. Jason took a few steps and sat down on the ground. He took out a picture from his pocket. We started to sit down towards Jason. Frans was still standing to keep his distance from his rival.

“You didn't join? Your phobias that are afraid of the dark are already diminishing, huh? Have you been able to handle it?” Jason said sarcastically.

“Not your business! Now tell me what clue you have.” Sahut Frans swagger.

“This photo is a photo of Pipin, the man who set fire to the forest in Borneo, he's one of the members of the group who kidnapped you.”

“You can information from where?” Frans finally approached us. He pointed his flashlight towards the photo.

“Sial, you're one step ahead of me,” grumbled Frans.

“Do not worry. I'll explain the purpose of this man burning the forest. He was a member of a group called Fishbone, you must have investigated their lunge that often smuggled rare animals. He did this on orders from Mr. B, the same person as the sender of the mysterious letter. Pipin, who assembled the bomb, hid in the woods for a week until he was arrested by the police thanks to a statement from the members you paralysed on the ship. The goal is to make a great impression because you failed to decode them quickly. Pipin was already imprisoned with the other members. However, he mysteriously disappeared from prison, while the other members were still in custody. He may rejoin Mr. B as his right hand.”

“Although I don't like you, but thank you for your help. Now that I know, he's the third man to kidnap Hartanti and help Reyhan kill Hartanti's husband. Now it is clear, Reyhan, Teguh, and Pipin become Mr's men. B that,” Frans responded to Jason's explanation.

“What do you mean?” ask Jason.

“He disappeared from prison like this case of my client's friend. Irfan's friend named Teguh was also the perpetrator of the murder. He mysteriously disappeared from the detention cell. It's almost 22:00 in the evening. I'll explain everything on the way.”

We left the riverbank and followed the constellation of rays to the south. Hopefully we can find the place Mr. B that. Now we have three flashlights that I think will be enough to help our trip tonight. I hope there are no wild animals.

With Jason's whereabouts on our side, will the opportunity to apprehend Mr. B is easier? I don't know, may this be a good start to investigate this great mystery. This case must be completely resolved so as not to take more casualties.

The night is going up, so what will we find out in front? I don't know, it's all still cryptic and makes various questions pile up in the head. Frans looks upset—ia still does not accept Jason turned out to be one step ahead of him in gathering information. Now that I understand, this case really has a common thread that is really connected, hopefully we can soon find out who Mr. B it.

As I stood, I patted my shoulder for the fall of the small fallen leaves. Yulia was ready behind me, she seemed to catch her breath and her chest puffed up a little, damn—what a feeling this is, I was so envious to see her makeup and the hump on her chest. I spontaneously glanced at Frans, lucky he did not see Yulia who had been moaning. Uh! What is it with me today, better to focus, this place is still full of danger. I try to shake my head to get rid of negative thoughts.

We just walked about two hundred meters away from the gathering place earlier. Suddenly, there was a gunshot coming from behind the bushes just like before. This time it wasn't Jason, it seemed like someone else was following us. Everyone panicked and docked. Frans who was at the front collapsed holding his left leg. Apparently the calf of the foot was penetrated by hot lead. Fresh blood flowed soaked the cotton trousers he wore.

My eyes immediately glared and almost squealed but were held back because my mouth was blown straight away I closed with my palm. Frans, he lays down and twists his body and slips his legs. Jason immediately ran towards Frans and took off his jacket and tore off the shirt he was wearing. He tried to stop the bleeding on Frans' leg. His molars hardened, Frans grimaced with pain, his eyes closed sometimes opening very quickly. His forehead began to fill with sweat and he continued to struggle with the pain. Even though he was in a serious condition, he still had time to ask what time it was. I looked at my watch, it was now 22:05, apparently Frans realized his mistake. Because we were too late to find the place Mr. had decided. B.

“Quick go from this forest!” jason orders, while waking Frans up to be driven to the car. Agung was on standby behind while Irfan was on standby in front. Yulia and I walked behind Frans who was embraced by Jason.
