As soon as Su Yang ended his announcement, the disciples started running around the entire Outer Court/Plate in search of the 3 stones hidden by Su Yang that could potentially change their lives forever.
“I can't believe you will use this kind of method to choose anyone who can cultivate in the Heavenly Pool.I will never get used to being surprised by you at this kind of speed.” Liu Lanzhi said with a bitter smile on his face.
“Life is not always about choices, because there are times where you can only rely on fate,” Su Yang responded with a calm expression.
“ Anyway, you have two hours to get ready for our trip to the Xie Family. I'll stay here.” Su Yang then said to her.
“Un. I'll hand it to you,” he nodded and left her alone.
After Liu Lanzhi left, Su Yang sat down and started cultivating in silence. Meanwhile, the disciples who refused to participate returned to their own affairs, giving the other disciples more room to run around.
Cafeterias, libraries, any open area, between the cracks on the floor, the disciples searched every corner and their eyes stared at every crack. However, even after 30 minutes of searching, none of the disciples returned to Su Yang with a stone in their hands.
The disciples even began to wonder if Su Yang really hid the rocks.
“Do you think the Patriarch of the Sect is just playing around with us, and he doesn't want anyone cultivating in the Heavenly Pool?” One of the students asked the other.
“Why did he do that? That doesn't make sense,” said another student.
“Yes, but the entire existence of the Patriarch Sect does not make sense, so”
When a group of disciples were chatting with each other, someone suddenly shouted in an excited voice, “I found it! I found it!”
“What?!”
The disciples around that person immediately turned their heads to look at the lucky disciple who had managed to find the first stone.
“Where did you find her, young sister Chen?” The disciples quickly surrounded him and bombarded him with questions.
“How could you possibly find it here? I have searched through this place over a dozen times and I found nothing!” One of the disciples exclaimed, voicing his doubt.
“It's true! It was here!” Disciple Chen said as he pointed to the floor right beside him.
“...” The other disciples looked at him with wrinkles on their faces.
“Do you make fun of us, Junior sister? If the stone was lying in the open on the floor, why didn't the other disciples see it when they searched this place before you? Even someone who has a visual impairment will not miss it!”
“It's true! I walked past this place a few minutes ago and I didn't see any rocks on the floor!”
Faced with so many doubtful gazes, the female disciple could only show a puzzled expression on her face, as she had no reason to lie to them.
Another disciple decided to follow him to see if he had actually found the real stone or was just pretending.
“Patriak! I found one of his rocks!” Disciple Chen dashed towards him with his hands waving in the air.
Hearing his voice, Su Yang opened his eyes to see a sweet young lady standing before him with an ordinary-looking stone in his palm.
Su Yang took the stone from his hand and looked at the word 'Su' carved on it.
“Where did you find this?” he asked her with a mysterious smile on his face.
“Just outside the Cafeteria, Patriarch,” he said with a nervous face, as he was worried he might not believe it because of what the other disciples told him.
“Once, Okay, you pass.” Su Yang said to him a moment later, making him dumbfounded along with the other disciples.
“A-What happened, Patriarch ?! Why don't we see any rocks where he found them when we searched ?! This doesn't make sense!” One of the students there decided to ask him.
“As I said from the beginning. Your fate will determine whether or not you are destined to find the stone. I don't know how else to explain it to you.” Su Yang shrugged his shoulders, leaving the disciples speechless.
However, they could not argue with the Sect Master. So, they swallowed their anger and went back to look for the remaining 2 stones.
“Are you curious, or should I say confused why only you find the stone while others can't?” Su Yang asked her after the other disciples left.
“Yes, Patriarch,” disciple Chen quickly nodded his head in response.
“The rock was clearly visible when I found it, but the other students didn't trust me.”.
“That's because I've been hiding the rocks inside the concealment formation that will reveal itself randomly just for a moment, and you happened to see it when it happened. Like I said, it's pure coincidence that you found her. That is destiny.” Su Yang explained to her with a smile on his face.
“A concealment formation? No wonder why the other disciples did not see him,” Disciple Chen sighed in relief after realizing the truth.
“Important, you have a little over an hour to prepare for the trip,” Su Yang said to her a moment later. “Come back here after you're done with your preparations.”
“Good, Patriarch!” The student bowed to him before running back to his house to prepare for the trip.
As soon as Disciple Chen left the scene, Su Yang closed his eyes again and resumed cultivating in silence.
Meanwhile, the other disciples continued to search for the rat-like rocks jostling around every nook and cranny in search of food.
