DRAGON DIVISION [Dragon Division]
Chapter 20: Four Shangcheng Sects

Xu Cheng casually walked down the stairs, waving towards the five colorful-haired thugs standing near the stairs.

Shortly after, with the people waiting near the elevator, nine people immediately came and surrounded him. Since the target is already aware of it, then the method of “pocketing his head and beating him” will not work. They have no choice but to provide “friendly reminders”.

The person leading the treaty was a fat man nicknamed Brother Bao, which literally means Leopard. He came while chewing gum and said with a thin smile, “Officer Xu, right?”

Xu Cheng just stood there, not answering.

That Bao fellow instantly recognized Xu Cheng's level from his badge, and a disdainful smile immediately appeared on his face. “I thought it was a huge blow that brought Young Master Yun and the others in, but it turned out that he was an officer at the lower level.”

Then, he spat out his chewing gum, and with a grim face, he approached Xu Cheng and said in a hoarse voice, “If you still want to stay in Shangcheng, then go for a while, let Young Master Yun and the others out.”

Xu Cheng asked indifferently, “Who are you?”

“I know you won't recognize me.” Bao sneered, “If not, you wouldn't be that calm right now. Did you know about the four old gangs of Shangcheng?”

"Yes." Yeah." Xu Cheng was still indifferent. “I heard it when I was in high school. The guys from the gang are all assholes.”

The faces of Bao and the others changed, but then he started laughing, “Alright, since you know we're bastards, then you know it's best not to provoke us. Otherwise, things won't end well for you, you know? You are now in uniform, but that does not mean you will be there 24 hours every day, and either time you will be fired.”

“Are you threatening me?” Xu Cheng's eyes narrowed.

“How dare I threaten our beloved police officer?” Bao smiled, “I'm here just to tell Officer Xu, whether you're on foot or driving, be careful, especially since you like to ride motorcycles. Accidents can happen anytime, what do you think?”

"Thank you for your attention." Xu Cheng looked at him and said, “What's your name?”

Bao glared at Xu Cheng and thought he was deliberately provoking him by asking his name again.

He repeated, tribe by syllable, “Ba..a..o.”.

“Name original,” said Xu Cheng.

Bao's eyes exuded a dangerous gaze, “What do you want to do?”

"There's nothing." Xu Cheng replied, “I just want to remind you, don't hinder us while we enforce the law. Calling yourself Bao, you don't really get the illusion that you're a leopard and not a human, do you? Since you don't even want to use a government registered name, how about I help you and ask my colleague to delete your name?”

“You threatened me?” Bao's face changed drastically. He deepened his voice and got closer to Xu Cheng. At this point, their faces were practically touching each other. He then said, saying every word, “Yes, I'm afraid of the police, but I've never been afraid of a low-level patrolman like you.”

Xu Cheng then casually asked, “Then who are you working for now? I remember the bosses of those four gangs had changed a few years ago, so I never knew who was still running the night market business. I'm very curious who your boss is.”

“Do not try to get anything from me.” Bao snorted, “If you have the chance, you can try shopping after 12 midnight. Truly, I welcome you to visit us, but you may be afraid. Goodbye, Officer Xu, you better take my words seriously and let Young Master Yun and the others go. If not, I'll visit you again, it's easy to find your place of residence.”

Then, he waved his hand and left with his group.

“They came for me.” Xu Cheng fixed his hat, then walked out, and Ran Jing quickly caught up with him.

“You better not provoke the people from the four gangs,” Ran Jing warned.

“I have no jurisdiction in any other territory, nor do I have any interest. I know that there is no absolute justice in this world, but in my region, those who do not follow the law will be punished,” Xu Cheng replied.

“The four-gate gang of Shangcheng is not something you should provoke. Their history dates back a long time, and even governments need to use specific strategies to prevent them. In addition to their strengths, the businesses they run and manage are no longer as darkly themed as they once were. You have no advantage against these people.”

“We will wait and see.” Xu Cheng started to walk faster.

Ran Jing gritted his teeth and complained, “They are hard to take care of because they have a group of people who know the law and know how to make use of it as well as the loopholes. Our Criminal Police Department did notice them, but we realized that touching them would trigger a series of bad reactions in Shangcheng that could cause chaos in the community, which is why we avoided it. I just wanted to tell you to keep your distance from the people of the four gate gang.”

Xu Cheng left, he got on his motorcycle and went to take the night shift.

While changing shifts, Young Master Yun and the others inside the cell all looked at Xu Cheng as if they were a bunch of hungry wolves staring at fat sheep. Young Master Yun even laughed. “You still don't know the problem that will befall you, right?”

“Can't do anything despite the problem. As a Police Officer, even if no problem befalls you, you still have to look for trouble; otherwise, our days will be very boring.” Xu Cheng replied with a laugh. He knew what Young Master Yun meant in his warning, it was probably a threat similar to that Bao man. They are the type of people who will look for a connection to the black market if things can't get done in broad daylight.

“You seem very carefree.” Young Master Yun said as he sneered, “Why did you put your nose into small things like this? Angry young master like us flooded the streets of Shangcheng, why don't you catch the others as well? Four famous young masters of Shangcheng, why don't you provoke them as well?”

“Four great young masters what? In my eyes, those who break the law are all the same – villains.” Xu Cheng was polishing his weapon while saying, “Rather than waiting for 15 days to pass, you should write a self-reflection report. Maybe you can even get out early.”

Young Master Yun: “I deliberately stayed here until 15 days passed, and you can wait and see if I will forgive you after I come out. But, I feel like I will never be able to forgive you, then what now? How about you kneel down and beg me now?'

Xu Cheng chuckled, “I'm fine, you can do it. I'm new here and usually boring, how about I play with you guys later?”

Young Master Yun narrowed his eyes. “I will make it unforgettable.”

Xu Cheng: “The same thing applies to you.”

Then, he took the keys of his motorcycle and left.

As usual, she went to a high school in the area and waited until all the children came home. The rebellious teenager from the Lin Family had not expected to meet him. He immediately came over and gave Xu Cheng a cigarette. Xu Cheng accepted it and turned it on.

“Looks like I'm going to win a bet with my brother,” said the blond teenager happily.

Xu Cheng exhaled his smoke and asked, “What bet?”

Blonde teen: “My sister said you'd get in big trouble, and I even thought I wouldn't be able to see you tonight. Come here, let me see it. Are you a ghost now?”
