Fake Wedding Pledge

Fake Wedding Pledge
CHAPTER 19 Segurat Sesal

Two more days are Azkira's birthday. Revan had prepared a gift for Azkira since a few days ago. Although Azkira is now no longer the same as the old Azkira, which he can love without being hindered by jealousy, but Revan never forgets the day on which God presents the figure of Azkira to the world. Although Revan could not have the body of Azkira, he hoped that the opportunity to put all his love and affection on the woman was still there. Pain indeed, loving without reply. However, choosing to stay in love is a decision Revan made on his own.

"Maybe today I can only love you in pain. Hopefully, one day I can love and be loved by you in joy. If not, that's okay. Maybe my mind should be content with love without reciprocation. I never regretted my decision." Revan talks to an inanimate object called a memory, in the form of a photo featuring portraits of Azkira's face and also himself.

"Son Fathan, Azki, how are you?" lontar Sinta opened the dialogue, just after sitting down he began to relax.

"We're very good, Grandma. It's just that, this spoiled wife of mine has always been unable to linger long away from Grandma," Fathan replied as he continued to stare fixedly at Azkira.

"Ciihi! Fucking liar. I think his skill in lying needs to be given a big award. Yep! Look, I'll give him a gift for all his false deeds" Azkira said in his heart.

"Thank God then. Understandably, Azkira is indeed very spoiled." Sinta gave her best smile.

"Grandma, I want a break in my room." Azkira immediately passed without waiting for the approval of anyone.

"Did he bother you all this time, son?" ask Sinta to Fathan, after Azkira is not seen again.

"Ahh, not really, Grandma. He adapted well to his new abode." Revan praised Azkira. Whether honest or not, that was clearly what came out of Fathan's mouth at the time.

"Alright, Son. If you are tired, rest with Azkira. Grandma still has to finish something in the kitchen" said Sinta.

"Yes, of course. Thank you, Grandma."

"That's what I've been waiting for. Following my wife to her room." Fathan continued with a very slow muttering voice.

Upon arriving in Azkira's room, Fathan saw the beautiful woman was looking at a family photo featuring a little girl and her parents. Fathan approached Azkira while also staring at the portrait. Then, a bright smile glimmered across Fathan's lips.

"They're both your parents, and the little girl is you, right?" terka Fathan made Azkira surprised by his presence.

"Yes!"

"Did you miss them?" ask Fathan. He seemed to not care about Azkira who seemed lazy to talk to him.

"Any time, especially in my bad times. I miss my father, who always taught me to be brave and strong. I also miss the figure of a great woman like my mother, who always taught me to beat my ego with broad patience and deep sincerity. But, I myself don't know if I can be like them or not? Sometimes I feel tired of the way of life that I have to face this," Azkira explained.

"Is he really sad?" thought Fathan while sitting close to Azkira.

"Geek, Azki. Actually I wanted to"

Fathan let out a rough breath. "Yes, thank you. But, Azki ... Can we talk for a minute?" fathan said he was trying to keep Azkira.

"Didn't you have the rest of your life to talk to me. Yeah, of course you are. Talk to me, a wife you never deserve to cherish" Azkira said with a bitter smile.

"Well, I'm guilty, but please listen to me first, Azkira."

"As long as I'm with you, haven't I been a good listener enough for you, Bang? Is it less? In fact, I was willing to accept the misfortune of being a listener who was never given a chance to be heard."

"Azkira, please don't talk like that" asked Fathan.

"What other than not having the right to be heard, am I also being forbidden to speak now?" Azkira seemed to have poured out all his heart to Fathan, whom he had long since pacified.

"It's not so, Azki." Fathan seemed to be at a loss for words to chimed in Azkira.

Azkira let out a long breath. "If I am so despicable in your eyes, I give you the freedom to let me go. I think it'll be very easy for you to find someone who's more worthy and worth it to share with you. I am not the man you want, nor am I equal to you who is far above me everything."

Somehow hearing Azkira's words back then made Fathan sad. Fathan's feelings were like being torn apart by force. His heart seemed unwilling to let go of Azkira.

"What kind of feeling is this? Why does my heart ache so much to hear all the words of Azkira just now? Have I fallen in love with her? Why am I so unwilling to hear the words hinting at his farewell?" Many questions perched in the mind of Fathan at that time.

Without tears Fathan escaped. Azkira could see it clearly when it happened. Yes, the proud man who is usually good at cursing and doing as he pleases is now showing his weakness in front of Azkira.

"I'm sorry" said Azkira.

"Azki, I'm sorry" Fathan said as he pushed Azkira's backside into his arms, docking him even more.

"You deserve to be angry with me for all my ill-treatment of you, but please give me an apology and a chance to right my wrongs. I beg you, Azkira." Fathan's getting close to his arms.

Azkira was silent. The feeling was too complicated at the time. He did not understand, how to act in the face of everything that happened. Because, his self-esteem and feelings have been hurt very deeply by the actions and words of Fathan so far.

"I'll excuse you first," Azkira let go of Fathan's embrace.

Fathan could only cry silently when he saw Azkira rushing out of the room. "Is this the reward for all the stupid things I've done to her? It hurts so bad, God." Fathan lamented his sadness.
