Fallen Dreams

Fallen Dreams
Crushed & Lost

Currently in the town square held a painting competition, and Natya, was one of the participants. After the announcement of the results of the race, Natya was declared to be in the position of champion hope one and was given a prize in the form of money of two hundred and fifty thousand rupiah.

Although relatively few, but Natya still thank him because at least the struggle paid off and he could follow the race without any interference or obstruction so far.

Yeah ... That's a hope that seems very impossible anyway. Because before this he had experienced many obstacles that prevented him from following activities like this.

Like the prohibition of his mother for example.

She remembered how her highly respected mother tried so hard to keep her from engaging in activities that would improve her experience like this. Countless how many hurtful words the mother had spoken to her. He even humiliated Natya in front of his friends.

Natya only smiled wryly when she remembered that. The pain that had accompanied him seemed to disappear just like that when he set foot on this race ground for the first time. It was like a great blessing to him.

Now, he is dealing with someone from his past who had disappeared. A familiar-faced man. The man was wearing a light blue shirt with a neat checkered pattern. Complete with a trouser suit and black shoes that are so shiny.

Ja. This person before him, was someone meaningful in his life that he had been looking for. And now, he found it! Rizal Ghifari Chandara! His 5-year-old brother disappeared, now in front of him.

But somehow, Rizal looks like he doesn't recognize her. He even asked who Natya really was.

"Bang Rizal's! I finally met my brother after this 5-year search!"

"Ehm .. sorry, who are you?"

The shocked Natya pecked at his place for quite a while. But in the end he tried to ignore the sentence that came out of his brother's mouth. Maybe her brother was joking. Or he's testing Natya.

But ... What if he's not kidding? From Natya's point of view, the girl was convinced. Natya knew very well how the look of a person who really did not know, and a person who only did it as a joke. Therefore Natya must talk to her brother as soon as possible and remind him of Natya.

"I'm sorry, I don't seem to want you. Do you know me? The people closest to me told me I had an accident and lost my memory. Maybe that's why I don't remember you so much?" Asked the slightly shabby black-haired man by raising his brow side.

Ah .. so it seems. It turns out that's why he didn't remember anything about Natya and didn't return home that night. The night that traumatized him. The night that took people as well as his favorite pet.

He himself did not know how Miko, his favorite black village cat. Which always people and his mother said would only bring bad luck because of the color. Which is always said will only waste his money for the needs of the cat.

Somehow people can think that. But Natya who saved the cat's life from the harshness of living on the streets. Rescue him from the hands of irresponsible who likes to torture, even eliminate the lives of small animals who do not know anything.

Back to the present.

Natya was still looking at the older sister with her anxious look. Hoping for Rizal to be able to remember it back in a long time. But of course it won't be possible. Natya wants to talk to him for longer.

At least by trying to remind him of his past, maybe Rizal will slowly recover his memories back.

But unfortunately, in important moments he wanted to talk back with his brother, the phone actually sounded!

Ugh. Damnit. Why is it that whenever he wants to do something valuable for him, there is always something else that bothers him?

He immediately attached his gawai in the ear covered with a black veil. His right hand held the phone so hard that Rizal who is currently in front of him worried that the phone will be destroyed because of the strength of the girl's grip.

"Hello! Assalamu'alaikum?" Sahut Natya who continues to try to control himself so as not to shout at anyone who calls him at this time.

"Mrsa'alaikumussalam ..." Said the caller from across there in a trembling voice. The voice was like it was holding back a cry to keep him stable.

Natya frowned.

"Natya, son ... Is it okay to accompany aunty in the hospital?" Tanya Fitra –ibu from Mitha, Natya–'s best friend who is still trying her hardest so that her voice does not sound chaotic.

"T-aunty? Aunt why? How was it at the hospital? What's up, Tan?"

"M-Mitha .. d-dia ... critical condition *hiks*"

'Huh?! M-Mitha?! Critical?!'

"Astaghfirullah, Auntie! How can?! She was the same Natya here! He was on the 'th"

Natya widened her eyes so quickly. Instantly the girl remembered that Mitha, her best friend, had come out alone before the race began. Ja. By ourselves. No one accompanied him, and watched him.

'Fuckin' S-fucking. Is it okay as long as he is out of my sight, something bad happens?!' Inner Natya with the contents of her mind that began to muddle.

While Rizal who saw a drastic change in the look of Natya's face made a confused expression with his eyebrows raised as if hinting at the question of what is happening to Natya. But Natya who was already shocked by hearing the bad news ignored him.

"Damn."

A swearing just came out of Natya's thin lips. Rizal who heard that looked at the girl sharply. Hinted that it was not the right words when he was in front of someone he had just met.

Or at least that's what Rizal thought. Because he still thought that this was the first time they had met.

"Damn it, shit, shit!!"

Panic lay on the pretty face of the white-hooded girl. His body gestures indicate that he is agitated. His body that was originally silent due to tension became a lot of movement when panic overpowered him.

'Br*hl!! Why did I let him go?!'

His mind was already confused thinking about the various possible bad things that happened out there to make Mitha's condition critical.

"Wait a minute, Auntie! Natya is going there soon! This is Natya finished! I want to take the angkot straight away!"

"*Hiks* Careful son ..."

"Yes Aunt. Wait for Natya! Assalamu'alaikum!" His pampit immediately put his cellphone in the pocket of his uniform that he was wearing.

The panicked girl then looked at her brother seriously and took out a piece of paper she had written down her phone number before. He took her brother's hand and opened it. Then put the paper in Rizal's palm quickly.

"M-I'm sorry, I-I. If Bang Rizal wants to talk to me again, this is my number! Thank you, Bang! Natya pamit first! Assalamu'alaikum!" He immediately ran out of the race.

"W-wa'alaikumussalam ... Nat-ya?" The reply that instantly thought of the girl's name.

"Natyas? The name seems familiar. But who is it?" His eyes looked upwards with both eyebrows linked.

He thought so hard to remember who the girl was in his past. But unfortunately his efforts still did not succeed until he finally gave up. Rizal then lowered his gaze on the small paper Natya had given him earlier.

'I need to talk to him again. Maybe this is a chance for me to recover my memories. He knows me, he could be someone from my past who knows exactly who I am.' Inner Rizal who then passed away.
