After Quan Jue was discharged from the hospital, he called Chi Mingwei.
“Quan Ju?” After the call was lifted, Chi Mingwei's confused voice sounded from the receiver. He looked very surprised by Quan Jue's call.
“Chi Jiao is not feeling well. She suffers from acute gastroenteritis and is currently in UKS school.” After saying this, Quan Jue hung up the phone without waiting for Chi Mingwei's reaction.
With the phone in his hand, Quan Jue's mind was filled with images of Chi Jiao's pale and fragile face.
He doesn't know what's wrong with him.
He knew he could not get close to her. If he was not careful, he would be put into an eternal curse.
However, he still could not control himself.
When she met Chi Jiao, her self-discipline seemed to have seen a ghost.
After calming down outside for a while, Quan Jue returned to the UKS room.
Chi Jiao was already asleep on the bed.
He was not covered with a blanket. Therefore, his body curled up into a ball. His sleeping face looked more obedient than usual.
Quan Jue pulled the blanket over him and gently covered his body with the blanket, before reducing the speed of his drops.
Then, he sat back down and closed his eyes.
After Chi Mingwei received Quan Jue's phone, she was worried and rushed to school.
Stepping into the small ward, Chi Mingwei saw Chi Jiao sleeping on the bed. Quan Jue was sitting on a chair with his eyes closed. He actually felt a little happy watching such a scene.
When Quan Jue heard some movements, he opened his eyes. He stood up as he looked at Chi Mingwei.
“Come out with me,” Chi Mingwei said to him in a low voice with a grim face. Then, he turned around and walked out of the small ward.
Quan Jue pursed his thin lips. He glanced at Chi Jiao, who was still sleeping, and then followed her.
When Chi Mingwei reached the forest, she stopped. Quan Jue stopped his steps as well.
“Why are you with Jiaojiao?” Chi Mingwei turned around and asked coldly.
“It looks like this has nothing to do with you.” Quan Jue's attitude was similarly cold.
“It has nothing to do with me? Is this the attitude you should have towards older people?” Chi Mingwei almost exploded in anger as the veins on her forehead twitched.
If not for his good upbringing holding him back, he would have already slapped Quan Jue.
“Do not always use your status as an elder to bring me down.” Quan Jue sneered, his words causing Chi Mingwei's anger to explode.
Taking a deep breath, Chi Mingwei said to herself not to get angry with this little boy. He had always been like this, like a wolf that could not be tamed.
“There's one thing I hope you remember clearly. Quan Jue, Jiaojiao has an innocent personality. Stay away from him and do not hurt him,” Chi Mingwei said, saying every word as she looked straight at Quan Jue.
Quan Jue's fingers twitched as he reevaluated Chi Mingwei.
Ever since the woman died and she was brought home by Chi Mingwei, she had never seen Chi Mingwei so nervous.
He looked as if his most precious possession was being spied on.
This expression is very interesting.
“It looks like Chi Jiao is very important to you.” Quan Jue's pitch-black eyes flashed with a dark and evil glint as he stared intently at Chi Mingwei. “If he is destroyed, will you go crazy?”
When Chi Mingwei saw the evil and aching smile on Quan Jue's face again, a chill ran through his back, causing all the feathers on his body to stand up.
He always thought that Quan Jue was a madman, just like his mentally ill mother.
That was why he did not want Jiaojiao to interact with him too much.
