Chapter 12: The Bright Point

The day that Nesya was afraid of finally happened. That afternoon Om Ednan came to their house carrying souvenirs as usual. When Nesya was about to leave the house her mother held her captive.

"Wait a minute dear Mama and Om Ednan want to talk something" said Isabel.

"What's the matter Ma?" ask Nesya.

"You sit down, baby" said Mama.

"So Nes, Om knows maybe this is not the right time to discuss this, but Om doesn't want to waste any more time" Om Ednan said.

"Om and Mama are getting older too, we decided to age together and Om wants us to be a family" Om Ednan continued.

Nesya was silent hearing that. His tears wanted to come out, but were managed to be held back by Nesya. He tried hard and kept smiling hearing the words of Om Ednan. It was not that Nesya did not want them to unite, but Nesya could not accept the fact that Qenzo would be his half-brother.

"Congratulations Om, Ma, Nesya can only pray for the best for you" said Nesya.

"Thank you dear" replied Mama smiling.

"If you were going to be a second wife?" nesya asked considering that Qenzo mentioned that his mother was still alive.

"Second wife?" ask Mama and Om Ednan shocked.

"Mama doesn't know that Om Ednan's wife is alive?" ask Nesya.

"Wife? what do you mean, baby?" asked Mama not to understand.

"So Mama doesn't know yet, why didn't Om tell Mama? or is she divorced?" ask Nesya again.

"Om not married Nesya" said Ednan more confused.

"Huh? not married why?" nesya asked, too, confused.

"How can you say Om has a wife?" ednan asked trying to correct the misunderstanding between them.

"Kids? how is it possible, Om has never been married, you will be the son of Om" Ednan said honestly.

"The evil om did not admit the existence of Qenzo and his mother" Nesya replied angrily.

"You mean? wait a minute Nesya seems to have a big misunderstanding here" said Om Ednan again.

"What's the misunderstanding Om?" nesya asked no longer in belief.

"You mean Qenzo your friend?" ask Mama.

"Yes Ma, Qenzo is his son Om Ednan, he calls Om Ednan as Papa" Nesya said when she cried, she could not hold back her tears anymore.

"Qenzo is Aunt Helma's dear son" said Mama.

"You misunderstood Nesya, Qenzo called Om Papa because since childhood he was foster by Om, Papa and Mama our friends" said Om Ednan finally understood where the misunderstanding lay.

"What do you mean Om?" nesya asked not understanding.

"Qenzo is the son of Aunt Helma and the late Om Chiko dear" Mama explained.

"So Mama knew Qenzo wasn't Om Ednan's son?" ask Nesya.

"Of course, Om Ednan is not married darling" said Mama.

"So Qenzo called Papa because Om Ednan took care of him since childhood?" ask Nesya again.

"It's not just Om Ednan who finances school and the needs of Qenzo dear" said Mama.

Nesya was very ashamed of her great misunderstanding and total error. He did not even dare to look at the faces of Om Ednan and Mama. Nesya apologized and left the two behind. Nesya that it is very shameful to do what to Qenzo. During that misunderstanding he was already so evil to Qenzo.
