Ch. 01 - Back and Talent Driver

Morning At 06:30, Yogyakarta City, Indonesia.

A 16-year-old boy was sitting in a garden in Yogyakarta City. He looked at the sunrise blankly, at this moment he felt a lot of ridiculous things happening to him.

But what no one else knows is that this child is not just an ordinary 16-year-old boy, but a 31-year-old man who goes back to his youth. His name is Raynaldi Indrasta, a young Indonesian citizen.

Almost everything that exists in this world and its home world is very similar\, it's just that things related to football and economics are very different from its original memory. In this world there is no such thing as B*rc*lona FC or R*al M*drid\, but rather Catalan United and Madrid Kings. And also the world famous company also has a different name from where it came from.

“Truly ridiculous, who thought I would experience such a stupid thing as made in those online novels?” Raynaldi chuckled as he recalled what had happened to him.

Earlier, the, Raynaldi Indrasta (31 Years) has just lost all of his wealth after he went bankrupt due to a miscalculation in the NASDAQ stock exchange market chart and ended up going bankrupt after losing a total of 25 Million USD.

Due to an incredible loss, Raynaldi who was under severe stress and depression at that time went to one of the bars and drowned himself in liquor. After drinking a few bottles of wishky and vodka, Raynaldi who was not strong enough to resist drunk finally fainted and was unconscious.

But who would have thought when he woke up, instead of finding himself in a bar but in his bedroom when he was young. Raynaldi still remembered his confusion when he first woke up and saw all the things that were very familiar to him.

Lots of posters and soccer-related objects in his bedroom, after all Raynaldi was a huge football fan from a young age. Even as a child he thought about becoming a football player when he knew his learning skills were not very good.

As Raynaldi checks the time and date he is now, he finds that he returned to 15 years ago because the current date is December 28, 2006. In addition he found that the body he occupied had the same name as him even his background and identity were exactly the same.

“It looks like I really went back to 15 years ago, the different is just the decision that me and my mother took to go to Germany or not.” Raynaldi muttered softly while thinking about his past.

Time passed slowly and Raynaldi lived his life like any other normal child. However, in January 2007, a scout from Leverkusen, Germany who was on holiday in his city, accidentally discovered Raynaldi's talent in football. Andre Thomas, who is a scout for Leverkusen SC saw Raynaldi as having outstanding finishing ability.

However, what makes Fillipe Nesta special is his mediocre physical condition, besides that his technique is only a little above the standard, he is also not fast or high, but always being able to find the gap in the opponent's penalty box and be free from the offside trap then score with an incredible conversion rate. Fillipe Nesta was eventually famous as a man who lived on the offside line and anomalies in football.

Andre doesn't know what made him see Fillipe's shadow in Raynaldi, but he still trusts his instincts as a scout and eventually recruits Raynaldi to try to play in Europe. After seeing Raynaldi and his friends finish playing football, Andre immediately approached Raynaldi with his guide and translator and expressed interest in inviting Raynaldi to do a trial at Leverkusen SC.

Raynaldi who heard the introduction from Andre felt a bit worried and did not believe what Andre said, he even thought that Andre was a con man who intended to kidnap children and then sell them.

But before Raynaldi could refuse, one of his older friends actually ran towards Andre and asked for his signature. Raynaldi asked about Andre, and why he asked for his autograph. His friend replied, Andre is a former German national team player, and he retired 5 years ago.

Eventually Raynaldi decides to take Andre and his interpreter to meet his mother at home. Although Raynaldi still felt that Andre was suspicious but he decided to see how his mother responded first. After all as a student in addition to his outstanding language skills, he was just mediocre in his other lessons, so sometimes he also thought about making football players his future career.

In addition, Raynaldi also trusts the judgment of his mother who is a psychologist who has worked for more than ten years. After walking for a while, they finally arrived at a medium-sized house with a simple exterior. Raynaldi took the lead to open the door and enter the house.

“Mother, Lisa, I'm home with a guest!” Raynaldi shouted after entering the house, while Andre and his interpreter followed.

Shortly after, a woman in her mid-30s and a little girl in her 10s walked into the living room. Raynaldi's mother was Anita Indrasta and Raynaldi's younger sister was Lisa Indrasta. Anita was surprised when she saw a stranger visiting her house, then she looked at Raynaldi as if asking what happened.

“Mother, this uncle named Andre Thomas, he claimed to be a scout from a football club in Germany and intended to recruit me to do a trial at his club. While the uncle next to him is a translator hired by Uncle Andre.” Raynaldi explained Andre's goal briefly.

Anita who listened to her son's words felt a bit confused, she had also seen that her son loved football since childhood and often played soccer with his friends who were several years older than him. Anita also knew that Raynaldi often played with students from the campus not far from his home. But playing with older kids and playing on the youth teams of professional clubs are two different things.

After calming herself down, Anita finally looked at Andre and spoke in fluent German. “So, Mr. Andre. What do you think of my son's chances of becoming a professional footballer?”

Andre who heard how fluent the German-speaking Anita was stunned for a moment, before replying. “Your son has incredible talent as a goalscorer in the penalty area, of course both his physical ability and his technique are only at the level of the average youth players at our club, but considering his age of 16. I feel that as long as he can improve his technique then he will be a top player in the top five major leagues of Europe.”
