FROM ANOTHER WORLD To You (A Mystery Short Story Collection ) - The Second Book
Chapter 31: S o s o k #2 (R a n i )

The clock shows at 12:00 pm, come for me and my friends to relax for a while in the gazebo located in the back yard of the hotel.

To get there, we usually pass the location of the E block room, a location that according to friends is the most haunted location around the Sekar Wadung Hotel.

During this afternoon, we freely went back and forth through the area. But when night falls, no one dares to go through it, unless forced to. There are many rumors about the area. Both from senior employees and from some guests who have stayed there. Enough rumors make the hair goosebumps.

Rani, one of the witnesses of many people who have experienced strange events beyond common sense, reason and logic that until now is still an unsolved mystery and can not be forgotten for life by those who have experienced it. Rani told me this, 1 month before resigning.

"Frost..."

The sound of the phone echoed, filling the reception room. Rani and Lilis who at that time got a half-drowded night shift jump in shock. The clock shows at 23:30.

"Hello, receptionist ... Good night, how can I help you ?" Rani lazily picked up the phone.

"This is from room no. E-113," there was a woman's voice across the street, "Sir, I asked for help with cleaning services to clean the bathroom, so not yet responded?"

"Oh, sorry, Mom.. happens to be part of the office boy (OB) or cleaning service has gone home at 19:00 earlier, tomorrow at 05:00 they are just in place," said Rani.

"Lho, if the name of the OB is not wrong Dika, he said he would immediately handle it, but how come home, huh ?" the woman's tone rose, Rani could imagine that she was getting upset.

"Well, ma'am, wait a minute, I'll ask Dika this," the phone was closed, Rani immediately contacted Dika.

" Hello, Ka... You're home, huh?"

" Yes, ma'am... What's up ?" ask Dika across the street.

"Is it true that you were asked by room E-113 to clean the bathroom ?"

"The room is E-113, mbak ?"

"really. I just got a call,"

"Lho, mbak. There's no one ?" obviously Dika.

"The guy just called, Ka,"

"Just look at the computer, room E-113, there are guests or empty. The problem is, before I go home, I had time to check all the rooms in block E, empty, no people, I'm sure of it," said Dika.

"All right then. Thank you, yes..." Rani ends the conversation and immediately checks the computer in the check-in and check-out menu, block E rooms are almost all empty, especially E-113, and...

"Kring!" again the phone rang, this time Lilis who picked up.

"How, mbak? Have you contacted the cleaning service department?"

Lilis stared at Rani, "How, Ran. The mother of room E-113 called back,"

Rani immediately grabbed the phone handle and replaced Lilis speaking, "Well, Mom. Because the OB or Cleaning Service party was empty, then, I myself came. Please wait, ma'am," said Rani.

"Well, thank you, '" the woman's voice ended with a long hum, the phone was closed.

"Be careful, Ran. preferably, ask Mr. Hadi to accompany you. You know for yourself the location of block E's room, don't you ?!" Lilis.

"Ga, let me go there alone, please" said Rani.

The location of the E block room, already visible, quiet and quiet, the dim light of the lamp, made Rani hesitate for a moment, but after solidifying her heart, she arrived at the E-113 room.

"Excuse me, ma'am.. cleaning service," said Rani, knocking on the door. There's no answer. Once again Rani knocked, similarly, there was no answer. He knocked again, three times, four times to ten times. The result is the same, there is no answer.

Rani's patience began to run out, "Hm, she called up many times, but once I got here, I was ignored," he muttered alone as he turned his back to leave the place. Suddenly, though .....

'Kkrrriieeettthh....'

The door opened slowly, Rani tried to smile as softly as possible, when she turned around, she gasped when she found the room empty. It's pitch-dark.

Rani steps in, her hand fingering the light switch. The 15 Watt Led Light immediately illuminated the room, it was completely empty, "Surely," he said alone, "If no one then who opened this door,"

A sharp and cold wind whistling down gave off a strange scent, making him uncomfortable, he hurriedly turned off the lights and his hand grabbed the doorknob to close it back, but, before the door closed tightly, a sound rang out. The sound of crying baby, Rani's face paled, the cry changed like a roar of grief. The sound came from the bathroom.

The lights are back on, Rani steps towards the bathroom. Blank. There was no person or baby at all when he clearly heard the voice from here, but why was there nothing, while the crying voice stopped just like that.

The uncomfortable feeling grew when he came out of the bathroom he saw a white shadow with black hair, long, tangled and scattered covering his back sitting on the edge of the bed facing the wall, while both the base of his arms moved to the right and to the left, as if he was cradling a baby. The sound of crying came back, slashing.

"Mom... That was the mother who called the receptionist, wasn't it ?" ask Rani.

The shadow did not answer, silent like a stone statue. Rani walks over and tries to say hello again.

"Mom... did the mother call ?"

The figure slowly moved its head, Rani gasped while looking at the figure's face. She was a woman, but half of her face was badly damaged maggots, worms, centipedes, scorpions and other sprawling animals crawl on the sidelines of blood and pus dripping down the bedding and spreading a stinging foul scent.

Rani gulped, wanting to scream but her voice seemed to be stuck in the esophagus. His knees feel powerless. I can't imagine how she felt at the time.

About 1 minute long, Rani was unable to move her body, even if only briefly but, it felt like hours. Rani managed to move her body back, she still had time to hold back her screams as she left the place.

Arriving at the reception room, Lilis stated that guests in room E-113 were still constantly calling asking someone to come to clean the bathroom.

"I was just there, the room was empty," then he screamed loudly making Lilis and Pak Hadi surprised.

"He came at nightfall, terrorizing me and forcing me not to sleep all night" Rani said. Since then Rani no longer wants a night shift, and one Sunday later, she resigned from the Sekar Wadung hotel.

If there are events or events that occur similar to the readers of the Faithful, then, it is just a coincidence.
