"Den Doni, that kind of ritual, can drive your wife crazy. You better stop it before it's too late" Ki Sena told me as I visited her house. He is my spiritual teacher, his name is quite famous in Dusun Karang Tunggal. I have known him since I was in the 6th grade of Karang Kobong Elementary School. I remember the first time I met him. At that time Bi Menik, the wife of uncle Kohar disappeared for 2 days 2 nights, and when he returned, he looked dazed and his stomach bulged like a woman who was 9 months pregnant.

Uncle suspects a villager from next door kidnapped and impregnated him. However, it is not proven, the reason is that on the day before Bi Menik disappeared, he had a joke with his brothers, he went to the bathroom to defecate. But, for more than two hours, he did not return while the bathroom door was still tightly closed. He grew suspicious and reported the incident to Uncle Kohar.

After being knocked repeatedly but there was no answer from inside, uncle Kohar immediately broke down the door, as the door was stretched wide, almost everyone burst in but, Bi Menik was not inside while there was no sign of the bathroom being broken into by people. The incident made a geger Karang hamlet and its surroundings. The mob was deployed to search for the whereabouts of Bi Menik.

The search went on for two days and two nights. So Ki Sena was called to help because the elders of the hamlet were unable to find him. According to Ki Sena, Bi Menik kidnapped one of the rulers of Karang hamlet and its surroundings to find it must be held a ritual summoning Jin ruler of coral hamlet and surrounding areas. Ki Sena put forward a condition to the villagers, a condition that is strange and funny and arguably unreasonable in my opinion.

All the inhabitants of men, women, adults and children, take turns to play traditional instruments, not gamelan or musical instruments in general but, in turn, any object that makes noise throughout the day to the time limit where Bi Menik disappears. In addition, residents, specifically the Bi Menik family must slaughter a pair of cemani chickens and pour their blood on the slap (Household furniture, made from woven bamboo and so on, and so on, usually round to winnow (clean) rice) containing setaman flowers.

I don't know, this is a coincidence or indeed Ki Sena is a qualified shaman, when everything has been done, he said, Bi Menik was found in a forest about one and a half kilos away from Kobong Coral in a daze and her stomach was distended. A week later, he was active as usual. But, his relationship with uncle stretched and it lasted for about 3 months.

It was one of the many events that had happened in Karang hamlet and its surroundings and involved Ki Sena.

On the night of my marriage to Dhea, she also took the time to attend even though she was one of the most vehemently opposed to our marriage. Before I got married, he gave me a lot of advice, but I was indifferent. Of all the advice, only one I can remember... 'Den Doni, Ananda Dhea is not a woman who is easily guided, she is too tall for you. High in all things, if you can't fulfill them, your marriage is only a corn. I can only say this and pray that what I say is just a figment,"

His words proved, our brief relationship ended in the guarantee, because we were busy with our respective work, as a result, we did not go through what the newlywed couple should have passed in general, honeymooners. People say, the honeymoon is a phase of exploration. Through this phase, they can accept each other's advantages and disadvantages, understand each other in order to move toward the future. The time when a pair of human children must start a new life. Like the word, the lambs who are just starting to grow up are released in the middle of the vast grasslands with a variety of dangers that threaten to survive. And apparently, we're not ready for that.

Dhea worked at an international standard bank, as the right hand of branch leaders, inevitably he was rarely in the office but had to participate wherever the boss went. Meanwhile, I work as one of the officers of the National Disaster Management Agency, Non PNS, with a mediocre salary. You can imagine, the difference is like the earth and the sky. We live our lives as usual, like husband and wife. By the time I got home around 17, Dhea had already prepared everything for me. Since she came home earlier than me, everything was so beautiful and natural.

Later, there was a change in the attitude, character and character of Dhea. Often comes home late, also a luxury sedan and a driver who turns out the driver is the boss... Making the heart feel unsettled, there is a strange feeling in the heart. When I asked, he always gave the same reason... There was a sudden meeting from the head office, overtime and so on. We argued more often until late, but, instead, made things worse. Unknowingly our household began to be tinged with wrinkles. That is why, I took the time to visit Ki Sena and ask for a solution from her.

Mr. Jonas came out first, following Dhea out, his footsteps seemed staggering and his face was deathly pale. What makes this heart hot is Mr. Jonas hugging and guiding Dhea to walk. Dhea opened the gate, "I go in first, sir thanks for driving me home," she said, letting her cheeks be kissed by the man before then stepping in. I couldn't believe what I had just seen, and as the luxury car passed and Dhea was about to close the door, I emerged from my hiding place.

Looking at my sudden appearance, Dhea's face looked even paler, I could feel my tears hot, my eyes burning but, I tried to refrain from venting the anger that night. Without saying much I stepped in and tried hard to forget the incident hoping that my wife would not repeat her actions again.

Turns out I was wrong, a month after the incident that night, Dhea's behavior increased even more after getting a raise.

The difference in social status was further tapered when Mr. Rudi the head of the office where I worked was replaced by a young man from the city who turned out not to be an expert in his field. Many of my colleagues resigned and some were even in the GHK because they were considered to be against the new leadership policy. I who tried to survive for the sake of the family finally felt uncomfortable and chose to retreat. A right decision in my opinion. I was really depressed not to mention seeing Dhea's behavior getting worse.

"I've told you a long time ago, den Doni, and you're reckless, now you're miserable yourself" Ki Sena said.

"The rice has become porridge, Ki... Is there no way out to solve my problem, Ki?" I was half desperate.

"Do you know what my nickname is in this Single Reef, Den Doni ?" asked Ki Sena suddenly.

I shook my head. Ki Sena laughed as she stroked her gray beard, "Sometimes to do something .... We can't hesitate. You know, in this Single Reef I'm nicknamed the Dark Shaman,"

Ki Sena's words made my hair goosebumps, I'm pensive... Was it wrong of me to raise Ki Sena as my spiritual teacher ? That's what then crossed my mind.

"Den Doni, as long as you are willing to accept the consequences, I will help you out of this hole" Ki Sena said, breaking my daydream. For the sake of lifting my degrees, for the sake of making my wife happy.... I've got to do it.

"I can do it, Ki" I said without hesitation.
