The Engagement Part II

"Joana, are you sure Mr. Johan asked us to go straight into the ballroom? Don't have to wait for him first?" whispered Tania when they had arrived at their destination.

The two women agreed to meet with Johan at the hotel where the engagement was held. However, it turns out that the owner of the company will come late because there are relatives who are hospitalized.

Joana brought her lips closer to Tania's ears. "really. When we go in, just show the invitation card to the officer on guard."

In that instant Tania also glared, staring intently at Joana. "If we bring this invitation, then when Mr. Johan wants to come in, how? Isn't there only one invitation given by the stakeholders?"

Secretary Johan who at that time looked so different from usual smiled widely to show a row of white and neat teeth. "You're calm, Mr. Johan has a thousand ways to get into the building. Tania sighed as Joana's hand pulled on her arm for them to walk faster towards the hotel ballroom on the right.

Carrying the concept of cherry blossom, hotel ballroom that can accommodate as many as five hundred people at the same time looks very festive. The decoration is dominated by pink, equipped with crystal lights that increasingly add to the impression of elegance. White benches with gold color ribbons neatly arranged around the round table in the room. Also the strains of romantic love songs have been played to make the atmosphere more romantic.

Tania's footsteps stopped for a moment. The tail of the woman's eyes swept across the room. There is a feeling that is difficult to express when the beautiful eyes see for themselves how luxurious and magnificent the room is.

"Tania, let's go! How do you even daydream anyway," Joana reprimanded when she realized her co-worker was lagging behind.

"Tania, are you all right?" ask Joana.

Not long after, there was the sound of a man wearing a suit with a white shirt inside riding on stage. The tall man spoke through a loudspeaker while occasionally reading the arrangement of the event from a white piece of paper in the grasp of his left hand.

Footsteps were heard entering the hotel ballroom. A handsome man walked valiantly in a navy blue tuxedo wrapped around his burly, muscular body. A straight-forward eye does not look in any direction, only focusing on one point ahead. Then, he stood in the middle of the stage waiting for his prospective fiancee.

Minutes of time passed until Mr. Adam appeared with his right hand holding his beautiful daughter. The father of Lidya walked valiantly in a gray tuxedo. All eyes are on Lidya who appears perfect in a modern kebaya dressing in color in line with the tuxedo worn by the groom-to-be.

"Are you ready, son?" asked Mr. Adam by tightly grasping the hand of his beloved daughter.

Lidya enthusiastically replied, "Of course, Papa. I'm so ready!"

"Alright, we are slowly approaching your future husband" said Mr. Adam. Then, they stepped together up onto the stage.

"When you've officially become Xander's future wife, reduce your childish attitude and your ego as well, son. Don't let Xander get angry and he broke off your engagement. If that's the case, Papa and Mama can't help you" whispered Mr. Adam as he continued to walk with Lidya beside him.

"Papa calm down. Xander couldn't have broken off our engagement because I already knew where his weakness was. So, if he does anything, then I'll just tell Aunt Miranda, "sneaky grin by raising her chin up. Lidya is very confident that Xander can not dwell in the slightest if Miranda intervenes.

Xander bowed his head as a sign of respect to Adam, his right hand receiving Lidya's hand. There was not the slightest smile on his beautiful face.
