Genius Little Girl

Genius Little Girl
Chapters 17. Fainted

Early in the morning before the employees came to the office, Kayla and Emeli said goodbye to take a walk outside. Intentionally they go in the morning so that the employees do not see their presence there so that it will cause a question mark in the heart of everyone. Kayla did not want Arshaka's employees to look at the man with pity.

"Dad, can we get this guitar?" ask Emeli before they leave.

Arshaka frowned, confused why Emeli was interested in the guitar because previously the stringed instrument was not touched by Emeli even though in his home there were also two abandoned guitars because it had long been unused.

"May you Dad, please!" Emeli sulks with a face that looks so cute.

Arshaka chuckles amusedly. Rarely is Emeli like that. Kayla's presence completely turned the stubborn child into so adorable in Arshaka's eyes.

"Can, but are you sure? Can't you use this musical instrument?"

"Relax Dad, Aunt Kayla said she could."

"Oh, yasudah, put it on!"

Emeli nodded with sparkling eyes. He stared at the guitar in his hand as if expecting a lot on the stringed instrument.

"Thank You Dad. Arshaka's father is second to none," said Emeli then his cheeks ballooned making Arshaka more anxious to his daughter.

"Go away and don't forget to bring that guitar back later. The guitar has a lot of past memories for Dad" Arshaka said with a longing look. Miss the late wife who used to pick the guitar and sing together in their time together in college.

"Well Dad, your message must be that Emeli remembers and responds" Emeli said with a smile that adorned her thin lips.

"Good, get out before it gets any more noon!"

Emeli nodded.

"Kayla, be careful, and I'll take Emeli again."

"Good sir."

This time it was Arshaka who nodded. Kayla leaves and pushes Emeli's wheelchair out of Arshaka's room.

"Where are we going?" kayla asked when they were on public transport.

"Where is Tan, later if there is a crowded place we go down," replied Emeli with a face that was so relaxed. Unlike Kayla where her face looks so moody thinking about their fate in front of her.

"Eh sir just stop here!" exclaimed Emeli when he saw there was a crowd on the side of the highway.

The driver nodded then stopped the car and continued on after lowering them both and receiving the fare.

"There's ondel-ondel. It looks like there's a carnival" Emeli said. Although he rarely left the house, but he often saw the show on television and social media.

"Emeli wants to see it? Then we'll just wait here, it looks like the show hasn't started yet."

"Emeli doesn't want to see Aunt's show, but wants to do the show himself." The girl giggled to make the clamorous Kayla instantly pinch both of her cheeks.

"Emeli is hungry" he whined when he saw a peddler on the side of the road.

"If you're hungry just eat rice" Kayla suggested.

"Whatever it is Auntie, the important thing is that it can prop up the stomach."

"Okay then you wait here for a minute! Auntie's gonna check in there. Remember not to go anywhere!"

"Okay, Auntie." Emeli focused on looking around the guitar and plucking his play carelessly to produce a discordant sound that sounded disturbing the ears of people who began to arrive to watch the event. Whether it's a carnival or some other show, Emeli doesn't care. All he needs is a crowd that might be able to donate money to the living expenses of Emeli and his family. Currently Emeli does not need entertainment, but a place to stay in order to shelter comfortably.

Not only was the sound of the guitar the center of their attention, but Emeli's performance was also the focus of everyone's attention.

"Tuh see there are children bullish," said one mother who made other mothers immediately turned their heads out of curiosity.

"Yes yeah, pretty but also a kid. Just try her brown hair that is not white will definitely look more beautiful," said another mother.

"Honey paralyzed though very beautiful," said another.

"Eh isn't that the kid who once went viral also the math olympics and is good at hacking?"

"It seems or we may have the wrong person. That kid is a businessman's son while this one looks like a street busker."

Kayla is seen running towards Emeli with a box of food.

After eating Emeli immediately handed the guitar to Kayla and started greeting and introducing herself. The day began to heat up and Emeli began to present songs to more and more visitors.

First of all, the English song is very popular with the audience. Emeli is good at taking notes also in living so that songs that they do not even understand the meaning reaches their hearts.

Cheers filled the air and some people instantly gave their money into Emeli's lap.

A man interested in Emeli's voice immediately approached and challenged with an Indonesian song. Emeli accepted the challenge and was finally able to prove that her voice remained stable in any language. The cheers grew increasingly boisterous to welcome the day that would be increasingly afternoon. People are amazed by the sound of Emeli whose Indonesian accent is really thick when at first they believe Emeli is an overseas person.

"Get us back now! You can not linger in the hot sun because Auntie is afraid your skin will blister," said Kayla reminded Emeli who looked engrossed with the surrounding.

Emeli nodded even though he wanted to linger in that place.

"Wait on! I have a good offer for you" said a man who gave the challenge to Emeli.

"Say Om, I don't have much time in this place" Emeli said. He doesn't like to talk.

"I'm interested in your unique voice, as unique as the person."

"I mean Om?"

"How about we work together?"

Emeli frowned.

"What cooperation sir? If it is equally profitable can be," said Kayla.

"I want your daughter to sing in my cafe how?"

"We're gonna get what?" ask Emeli.

"What do you want?"

"I need a place to stay" said Emeli.

"May you come with me now. I happen to have an empty rented house. You guys can stay free there as long as it's still singing in my cafe."

"Good offer Om I received."

"Good, then come with me!"

Emeli and Kayla looked at each other and then laughed together. They followed the man and sure enough the man drove him to an empty house that still looked neat and clean.

Returning from the rented house Emeli immediately asked Arshaka to move into the house and tell him everything. Arshaka doesn't mind Emeli singing in the cafe. Besides being able to develop Emeli's talent is also safe there because it will not be exposed to direct sunlight.

Day after day Emeli focused on her work at the cafe and Kayla never absent accompanied Emeli. To the extent that they are both familiar with the owner of the cafe and several times Emeli was invited to the hospital owned by the cafe businessman.

"Oh yes Emeli, in the hospital Om once gave birth to an albino baby like you. As far as I knew I was just that one person and at that time Om checked himself into the NICU room because the news went viral among the hospital employees and the baby was in the incubator."

"When Om?"

"Maybe about 7 years ago. Oh, forget it, forget it! It's been a long time to remember."

The story of the cafe owner and the owner of the hospital made Emeli curious and asked Arshaka which hospital Emeli was born in. He was shocked because it was in the hospital that he was born.

This motivated Emeli to investigate further. He believes there must be a secret behind his birth.

Initially the owner of the hospital refused when Emeli asked for a recording 7 years ago with complicated reasons, but after explaining at length and a slight insistence from Emeli made the man agree to accept the ridiculous request.

Emeli was a little surprised to see the cctv footage in front of her. To her it was very strange, the woman in the recording was like Kayla even though her face only resembled a little. He immediately copied and gave it to Kayla.

Kayla was stunned when she saw the recording shown by Emeli. The body covered in a rag by Jeremy's face was exactly like his, only now there was a blackened scar that made it difficult for anyone who met him to get to know Kayla. Even worse, the woman was still breathing.

Kayla's head suddenly throbbed and she suddenly fainted.

"Aante!"

Seriate.
