Ghost Story (The Story of the Angler)

Ghost Story (The Story of the Angler)
The Fishing Boy (Giant Fish Bag.1)

"Tomorrow where to go?" ask Ipung.

"Belom has my plan." replied Vishnu.

"Tomorrow sunday.would it be if you don't go fishing?" ipung Ledek.

"My males. bosen nyobok continues.." replied Vishnu.

"Well, he said, these horrors in the fishing reservoir again good." said Ipung.

"It's good, but the fish is only the size of two fingers, a lot more. You can get 20 in a minute, but yes, it's only two fingers." replied Vishnu.

That Sunday night they were talking about fishing plans for tomorrow, indeed almost every week they went fishing to different reservoirs. And their favorite is the nyobok fishing technique with moss bait and 6-meter-long moorings.

"Sunday yesterday when I left for the southern reservoir, I had seen there are local people who masang net net span, dapet many him, big-pede again! the smallest is the size of a palm." said Vishnu.

"But why would you go fishing so small?" ask Ipung

"That's exactly what makes me confused.the fish is big-gede, but not fished.." replied Vishnu.

"Maybe lose the same small fish that big fish is on the bottom of the water, and before the bait nyampe to the bottom, has been struck first the same small." said Ipung.

"I thought so too.." Vishnu. "But abis saw who netted it, I so thought to try the net net as well.."

"Let's go..! we are anglers..! Fishing intent..! not the nyari of fish." ledek Ipung.

"Make no interlude papa. anyways long bosen also nyobok continue, want new techniques only." said Vishnu. "Partially if you use a net clearly dapetnya big-gede.."

"Do you have that net?" ask Ipung.

"No. ntar minjem aja.." replied Vishnu.

"It seems like you have to try a new way." Ipung said. "Fix yes.. Tomorrow we leave on net.."

Finally a deal was reached between them, Sunday morning tomorrow they will try things that have never been done, but even so, as anglers, as anglers, of course they already know the technique of the net span net, so they will try it tomorrow.

And that very night Vishnu borrowed a span net from his friend. This friend is indeed often fishing, he has various types of nets, ranging from mesh stocking to span netting, even fish trap bubu he has a lot. Loan net has been obtained, tomorrow just leave.

Sunday morning at 4am, by riding a matic motorbike, Vishnu and Iwan left for the southern reservoir. They carry a very large bag as a container for a span net. Still coupled with nyobok fishing equipment as a precaution if a large fish wants to eat hook bait.

The journey takes about two and a half hours. They stopped for a while at the local market for breakfast and also bought lunch. The sun had already appeared by the time they arrived at the water banks of the reservoir. Time pointed at the figure of half seven in the morning. It was Vishnu who chose that location, and they began to look for the right spot

The net they use is a type of net span, with a length of about 30 meters and a width of about two meters. As the name suggests, the way to use this net is to be stretched lengthwise on the surface of the water, and hang down, until it is shaped like a net on a volleyball court.

The top edge is framed along the net, and at both ends of the rope is given a large plastic jerrycan buoy. Along the rope is still given a small float of styrofoam every one meter. While the bottom edge of the net is given a ballast in the form of a chain.

The net hole is about 10 inches wide, so only fish that size and larger will be trapped. If there is a fish through it, then the fish will get stuck in the holes of the net and can not escape.

This net is usually installed on the overdraft edge of the reservoir, sort of intercepting fish that will enter or out of the overdraft. But after a long search for the overdraft, they did not find it either. Finally Vishnu decided to stretch it into the middle of the waters.

"How can you stretch to the middle of that?" ask Ipung.

"He must swim to the middle while pulling the net." replied Vishnu.

"It was only me who swam to the middle." said Ipung.

"It's better than swimming, so you should be in the middle." replied Vishnu.

"It's a good thing I brought a change of clothes." said Ipung as he began to enter the water and bring the end of the net.

"Ati-ati the same shark or anaconda. haha.." ledek Vishnu.

"Where is anakonda here." replied Ipung while shouting.

Up in the chest-deep water, Ipung also began to swim. This is a heavy job, in addition to swimming, Ipung must pull the rope end of the net, carrying jerry cans, the end of the ballast chain, the end of the ballast chain, also still have to carry a stone as big as a fist as an anchor at the end of the rope. This anchor aims to keep the end of the net is not dragged by water currents everywhere.

This work should be done by boat and not by swimming. But where there is a boat there, if any, the owner will not want to borrow, at least have to rent at a decent price.

Finished with his work, Ipung swam back to the edge. And now a net stretched 30 meters towards the middle of the reservoir, widened 2 meters below the surface of the water, according to the width of the net. From the surface there is a row of buoys as big as coconuts, forming a straight line and ending in a large jerrycan.

 "Trus why this?" ask Ipung.

 "Wait a minute." replied Vishnu.

"Try fishing.that's the point I bring fishing rods and moss.." replied Vishnu.

So while waiting for the net, they also prepare fishing equipment and start fishing with nyobok technique, plunged into the water with a depth of limited to the chest. Just as Vishnu said, the fish obtained from all small fishing, nothing is greater than two fingers.

Eventually they get bored themselves, preferring to get out of the water and stop fishing. They just sit around waiting for the net. And by 10 o'clock, the first net withdrawal begins. They only got one tilapia as big as a palm.

 "One only?" ipung.

He flipped through the net, checking in case anyone was still left behind. But it turned out to be just that one.

"We are not lucky yet.try again." replied Vishnu.

"You are not lucky.I don't feel good, there is definitely no fish." Ipung said.

"Don't give up first try on the set again.."

And finally they tried again, the net was stretched again. This time it was Wisnulah who swam towards the middle, repeating the exact same process as Ipung had done earlier. Two hours later, at 12 noon, the net was pulled again, and this time it also got two tilapia!

"That's right! What do I say! He said a lot of fish..?" tanya Ipung grumbled.

"Sunday I saw myself here dapet many really." replied Vishnu.

"Is it possible to have moved the fish" Ipung said.

"It can be that.." replied Vishnu. "We're moving into a spot a little south again.."

 "Which south?"

"South of the river, there is a river, and we must cross it first." said Vishnu.

"Through the bridge is it.. Is it not..?"

"There are but far east there.I have to turn if I want to go through the bridge.."

"Jaudah.nyeberang aja river." said Ipung. "But lunch is just my laper.."

So before moving spots, they first eat lunch purchased this morning from the local market. After that they scoured all the equipment and started heading towards the river, to the south of the current location.

It turns out that the river referred to Vishnu was only small, about three meters wide with shallow water, flowing into the reservoir. But the river's cliffs are very steep and reach four meters deep before reaching the surface of the water.

Ipung only follows Vishnu because Vishnu knows the way. And it turns out that in the direction a bit upstream, there is a downhill road to the river bank that can be passed easily, so they also pass through the road and cross the river that turns out to be only knee deep. Up across, they immediately headed towards the outskirts of the reservoir back. The sky seems to be getting cloudy.

"There are no niches here either." Ipung said after they reached the edge of the reservoir.

"Forced to swim again kayak earlier." replied Vishnu. "It's the one that's stuck.."

" Cooking is me again. just a hassle.."

Despite grumbling, Ipung also entered the water and began to swim to the middle, dragging the end of the net while carrying jerry cans, ends of chains and stones, he repeated the process for the second time. After reaching 30 meters from the edge, he began to set up the net and dropped the ballast stone. Then Ipung swam back towards the edge.

An hour passed, impatiently pulling the net, there were seven tilapia fish fluttering in the net. But at least much better than the first spot. Hurry they pick up the fish so they can quickly spread the net back in the water.

"Udah began to improve.dapet seven tails.." murmured Vishnu.

"Hopefully the next spread will be more." replied Ipung.

"Eat him the hunt get his fish.."

"The fish tank is no longer empty.. Hehe.." Ipung chuckled happily.

Finished everything, with full Ipung clover swimming back to the middle as far as 30 meters, while continuing to move his legs so that the head can continue to be above the water surface, he repeated all the process of spreading the net. After that Ipung intends to swim back to the edge of the reservoir.

But suddenly Ipung felt like his left leg was being held something in the water! Ipung traces of his feet down, but 'something' it still can not be separated. and now feels like something wrapped around his left ankle. Ipung set his foot very hard in the water.

But instead of escaping, the winding on his legs tightened, and now even pulled him down. Ipung started to panic. Without thinking anymore, he tried to swim to the side. But the pull of 'something' on his leg was extremely strong, Ipung could not even move forward!

Before his head sank into the water, Ipung took a deep breath and held him back. His body was pulled down rapidly, entering the dark depths of the reservoir. But Ipung is not yet willing to give up, he traces his right foot towards his left ankle, the place where the 'something' is wrapped around him.

Ipung's body continues to be dragged down, he continues to wrestle against, but he can't even see what he has seen his legs! Though the supply of oxygen in his lungs had begun to run out, and his energy drained very quickly, And when his breath was completely exhausted, Ipung called the name of God.
