GITA AND MAR

GITA AND MAR
010. The Guarantor

The clothes Mar wore that day were material pants and a t-shirt. Not too good, but neat enough and appropriate for a wealthy household assistant who was out of the employer's house. Just the sandals are a bit strange. Very small and striking pink. Mar looked at his feet.

The body is big, the legs are this small. The sandals may be children's sandals.

The words in his heart were as if they could be heard by Jaya. Mar and the boy exchanged looks and Jaya made a suspicious look. Mar grimacing.

The hospital of their destination area is not far away because the area itself is not large. The area called ‘kota’ is no larger than a second-level area in Jakarta. One of the advantages for Mar whose money in his wallet is very mediocre. “Liat ni.” Gita shows the money from Mar's wallet to Jaya next to her. “Only this way in the wallet. Your mom doesn't spend money anywhere else?”

“I've opened the first and second drawer turned out to be zonk,” said Jaya.

“Continue? Where else?”

“The second curtain is also zonk, Tan,” Jaya continued, glancing at Mar's face looking forward to her reaction.

“Thank you, so funny.” Mar pinched Jaya's cheek with an angry look mixed with annoyance.

Jaya grimaces.

“Come, we have nyampe.” Mar jumped down from the car. Just like Jaya. “With this body ride on the car feel on the truck Koramil. Must jump.” Mar grunts his way ahead of Jaya.

“Tante angry? I was just kidding. Don't be so arrogant,” said Jaya. A little disappointed that Mar walked quickly in front of him. Actually he likes the attitude of the new ‘mother’. Despite being thin, his mother looks confident.

“Ngapain cocky?” Mar answered without looking. “A snobbish person shunned angel. In the angel's grave don't want nanyain. What Sony is Scavenging. Continue to be able to go to hell, the government recommendation. That's why you shouldn't be arrogant. That's my mom.” Mar spoke very quickly.

“That's it, Tan?” Jay really doesn't understand. “Tante Jin has a Mom?” He stopped to hold Mar's arm. His eyes are so innocent.

Mar stops at the ER doorway. “Jin has no mother. Let's find the body of a beautiful woman named Gita's.”

Mar walked hurriedly to the ER registration desk. Jaya follows him behind while chirping.

“Search what? This is not a place to play,” said a nurse who saw Jaya. His hand holding the paper held onto Jaya's small body while looking at the boy's appearance.

Mar turned and glared at the nurse. “We also know if you want to play in the park, want to eat at a restaurant. Can you respect a little bit of people, right? It should be what people need to come here for.” Mar grabs Jaya's hand and takes her. “I want to find a woman who just brought an ambulance here. I am his family,” obviously Mar.

Jaya was stunned again. Staring at his mother's new figure with a look of adoration. He didn't care about the nurse's treatment with him.

“Nurse? Are you listening to me?” Although Mar's voice squeaked, but his tone was very authoritative.

Jaya shook her head in admiration. “Indeed not my mother,” she said.

“Oh, the woman who fell from the bridge? The woman has entered the ICU. The hospital contacted police to inform the family of the woman. Name ...” The nurse read the piece of paper she was carrying.

“Gita Safiya Nala,” cut Mar.

“True.” The nurse thrust out a piece of paper containing a bit of Gita's data. “We've contacted the police.”

“Can I cancel contacting the police? I am, right, his family. I know all about the Gita. He's got a bag, right? Brown color office bag. Please take me to see Gita.” Mar holds the nurse's arm half forcefully.

The nurse followed Mar's will as if hypnotized. Walk ahead of Mar and Jaya to the ER exit to arrive at the other side of the hospital. Then, “In the report the overall condition is stable. But because it does not show a conscious reaction so the patient is put ICU to monitor his heart and oxygen saturation. Please go through here. The ICU room is at the end of the hall. Because you just got treatment so you can't come in, yeah. Look at it from the outside. Later the goods Mbak Gita I get.”

The journey to the end of the hall was not long. They have all arrived there and Mar has to tiptoe a little to see Gita's sleeping body in a hospital uniform. Glass walls that are not fully transparent are a little difficult for Mar.

“Tan, I'm also keen to see.” Jaya pulls the tip of the blouse Mar.

“Our sufferings are the same. I also had a hard time squirming inside. Tomorrow you may look inside. Now we must be patient." Mar spoke in a very slow voice. The corner of his eye watched the nurse who entered the ICU room and returned with a package. Mar immediately held the package that was still in the nurse's arms. “Still yes, Sus,” says Mar.

“Can't be so process. I was asked for data validation. You also have to sign a few letters and be photographed. If there is one that is not fulfilled we cannot give you these items. Oh, yeah, we can't cancel the report to the police either. Reports of suicide failure have been received by police and patients will continue to be monitored. He will also be accompanied by a psychiatrist if he is physically fit. How's it? Ready validated?" The nurse took the package away from Mar's hand.

Mar and Jaya exchanged a glance. The nurse in front of them implied a suspicious look. “Sorry. With whose Mom?”

“State,” answered Jaya ahead of the owner of the body.

Mar took out a cloth wallet and handed over the only thing that was most valuable to him. ID.

The nurse took Mar's ID card and read it for a while and returned it. “Markes? Bu Markisah ready to validate data?” The nurse repeated her question while holding a smile. “Bu Mar ...,” call Nurse. Mar was half-dreaming looking at Gita's body.

“Bu Mar ...,” call Jaya a little hard.

“Yes?!” sahut Mar's.

“Any validation, Mom? I want to ask around.” This time the nurse sounded angry.

Looks like I should get used to the name 'Mar'.

Mar nodded and the nurse began to ask general matters relating to the personal data of a Gita. Name, date of birth, ID address, address of residence, name of parents, office address, all answered Mar very smoothly. What makes the question falter is when the nurse asks about other contact numbers that can guarantee that Markisah can be responsible for everything he says. For that Mar was silent for quite a while.

“Bu Mar there is a contact number of others who are close enough to be able to make an emergency number?”

“Can I open the phone Gita? May be able to see other contact numbers there.” Mar hopes the nurse will give it.

“Sorry I can't. Kan, who requested the emergency contact number from his brother Ibu Mar. Which assures that this Ms. Markisah has no other interest in the patient.” The nurse tapped her pen onto the street board.

Wh who? It's not your phone number. It could be the mother who went ahead of me if she found out her son jumped into the river. Ck. Who yeah?

It should be Fuck Rama or fucker Monic. Or Lily? Well ... He's that cute guy. You can be embarrassed if you jump into the river because of failed marriage. Ck.

Jaya heard Mar clucking with his disheveled face. A little understood by what the nurse said, Jaya clutched Mar's arm and nodded confidently.

“What?” ask Mar in a whisper.

“Ehem! I gave you Mr. Harris's contact number. Mr. Harris certainly knows Mom and would have liked to know if there was anything. Especially this afternoon. Mr. Harris's son must be looking for Mother.” Jaya smiled awkwardly as she gestured for Mar to immediately say yes.

Mar raised an eyebrow looking at Jaya. His mouth is tight when he speaks. “But I don't know the phone number Mr. Harris.”

“I know the number. Catet, Sus. His full name is Harris Gunawan. The R is two. Hape number ...” Jaya mentions a series of numbers that look right very he memorized. “Mother asks me to memorize that number just in case,” Jaya whispered to Mar.

The nurse seemed to be thinking when she heard the name Harris Gunawan called Jaya. “This ... That Harris Gunawan? Mr. Harris Gunawan.

“Yes, Miss Sister. That Mr. Harris Gunawan. Not wrong anymore. In this area the name Mr. Harris is very famous. Almost everyone knows Mr. Harris especially mothers.” Jay smiled broadly at Mar. Proud to have so much information.

“Try to contact Mr Harris Gunawan and introduce yourself Bu Markisah.” The nurse challenges Mar with a suspicious look. Suspicious that Mar and Jaya are conspiring mothers and children.

“Come, Mom. Mr. Harris is good. Name your mother and our business here.” Jaya encouraged Mar who was still hesitant.

“I don't have a cell phone. Can I use Gita phone?” Mar pointed at the nurse's parcel and decoy.

The nurse opened the package and thrust out Gita's phone which turned out to be still on. Curious to see if Mar can unlock the phone screen. Since the patient arrived, he and two colleagues have not succeeded in trying.

“Can I reset the number?” Mar asked Jaya while casually entering the screen lock pattern. Jaya repeated a row of numbers that she had long memorized. While waiting for a call to be made, Mar spoke to the nurse. “If you are suicidal, Gita does not need to bend her bag tightly to protect the contents. His phone is still good. I believe Gita must have been deliberately driven by someone." Mar managed to get the nurse to round her eyes in slight surprise. The next second, it was Mar's turn to round his eyes because of the voice voice over the phone.

“Halo? With whom?”

“Ha-hello? I'm Mar, Sir ..” Somehow the voice of a man so deep and soothing from across the phone made Mar nervous.

“Mar? You all right? Again where?”

Now Mar feels his legs are not just fat and short. But it's also soft like jelly.
