Hans the Blind Witch of the Aksara

Hans the Blind Witch of the Aksara
Scriptures 7: Hunting of Magical Beasts

Hans shrugged his shoulders and to his two hands, hinting he understood nothing. Hibiscus looked puzzled, he turned his gaze toward the departure of Atkinson. A few moments later the voice of his voice broke the silence, "Alright sir, we must hurry before dark comes."

"We should've got the game before nightfall!"

"Well! A hunt? With what will we hunt lord Hibiscus?!" Hans looked enthusiastic and had unknowingly, forgotten the previous events.

"Mr Hans don't call me master! Just call me old man Hib,"

"Let me show you!" Then the hunchback old man walked to the outer balcony, the big tree of the house was still down the forest, the roots were alternating in and out of the ground like a rotating drill, suddenly old man Hibiscus raised his hand, and then he took his hand, then blew out a loud whistling sound.

"Viiiiiii!~"

"Babby!"

The sound of horses rang out from above the sky, the afternoon sky was still mixed between orange and deep blue, still at least a few hours away until the sun set. Hans reflexively raised his head, looking up at the sound of horse screams coming from the sky.

A black horse filled with fog descended like a black dot from the sky. A script symbol emerged from the back of old man Hib's palm.

[1] The Javanese hanacaraka contains the word 'gulf' which means submissive/conquering.

Hans was puzzled to see the figure of a horse that could fly in the sky, the horse was enveloped in a collection of black smoke that contrasted with the sunlight that although the afternoon still emitted its light.

At high speed he crossed the sky, manoeuvred past high trees and then swiftly landed right next to old man Hibiscus. He pressed his face against the small body of old man Hib. The two wrinkled hands belonging to old man Hib also stroked the black horse's face, the horse's body was not much different from other horses, but what makes Hans breath stop is that the horse has jet black wings like a bird. Exactly like a crow, the horse has crow wings on its body, while in the middle of its head there is the same character as the one on the back of the palm of old man Hib.

"He was named Praus he was a magical beast and not an ordinary beast. It is a magical beast with a single universe, a magical beast with a single character commonly called by script. While the magical beast without characters is called Niharan."

"Well let's go up,"

"Praus is my best friend, you don't have to worry."

"We're both bound in agreement, so I can use his universe." Said the old man while raising Hans' body on Praus' body. Although old man Hib looks small and weak but he is still a one-star Magi or magi with one character,"I am a little different from the masters Atkinson and Canabis, they are magi, they are magi, while I was a Sarati[2]." Praus then slightly lowered his head and spread his wings elegantly, both wings stretched up to four dpa (eight meters), while the length of each wing was two dpa (four meters). His body that was one dpa (two meters) long shot into the air strongly. Hans held on tightly to the old body of Hibiscus.

The two darted past the trees then flew high and overcame the trees, Hans still closed his eyes in fear. He slowly opened it as he felt the roar of the breeze touch his face, making his long hair flung right and left.

"WOAH!!" He grew even more frightened when he realized his body was tens of meters above the ground, his legs were trembling and he closed his eyes again in fear. He opened it a little to peek, making sure it wouldn't fall from up there.

After he calmed down, he began to be able to enjoy the state where Praus flew at high speed, only a few minutes apart and he got used to it.

When he opened his eyes completely what greeted him shook his body, on the other side of the forest was a small yet swift river. A large creature was drinking water there, Hans was wide-eyed, the creature he saw was really big and made his heart beat.

The creature resembles a central rhino drinking directly from the rushing stream of water that flows along the river. Although the creature has a one-horned head exactly like a rhino, but different is its large arms like a gorilla. His body was filled with thick, layered skin that made it look like he was wearing a harness. Its body size reaches twice the size of a normal rhino, up to three dpa (six meters) in height.

"Two-" Hans was about to open his mouth.

"Shhh!" Mr. Hib first covered little mouth of Hans with both hands.

The surface of the river water suddenly shook, another figure jumped from within and shot the water up until it scattered out. A frog jumped out, a frog with a size of nearly ten dpa (twenty meters) its body was purple, with two large eyes and an octopus-like tentacle.

Although surprised the rhino threw his horn towards the stomach of the frog, do not forget to also smash his hands like a clamp to hit the head of the frog who surrendered to his head. But it was in vain due to the body of the frog slippery as a result of filled with mucus.

The slippery body full of mucus seemed to deflect the power behind the rhino's attack, answering the attack the rhino frog's mouth was wide open. Thousands of teeth appeared there, but even more terrifying was the large tongue that had eyes and horns like a sword.

"Ummhh" Hans thrashed, forcibly closing his eyes. Both hands of old man Hib as if like tentacles of frogs that embrace his body, he felt that he was in the position of the rhino.

The long tongue that had eyes then darted, while the two hands of the giant frog held the rhino firmly, the tongue then pierced the chest of the rhino-gorila.

His thick skin, which looked like a strong armor protecting his body, seemed to turn into a soft tofu that was so easy to break. Before long the poison from the tongue destroyed his body, and made all his organs melt, the frog then drank the whole thing and died of dry skin on the surface of the ground.

This is not finished but old man Hib and Hans have left the place, lucky Praus is an aerial creature, which flies across the wind and clouds so they do not need to face such creatures.

After a long time old man Hib removed his hand from Hans' mouth.

"Sir Hib! Hib Sir!"

"Let's go home!" The little boy was crying like a nine-year-old boy in general. Although he was more mature than his age, it was only a matter of way of thinking and he saw reality and not saw murder and slaughter.

"Call sir Hans! Cool out! Uhuk-uk!" Old man Hib coughed slightly as Hans frantically moved over Praus' body. The old man tried with great difficulty to stop Hans from moving his body.

"You should get used to something like this! You'll see things like this more often, son!" Old man Hibs calmed down for a moment, as if Praus felt and understood the condition of his friend and slowed down the speed he was flying.

"But.but.." Hans wiped his tears, then forced himself to calm down and after a while he began to calm down and hug Praus' body. The black horse felt like a warm embrace of Hans, it let off a small voice.

"Neyiggt!"

"Mr Hans, Praus says you have nothing to fear! He will take care of us!" Old Man Hib said as he slightly smiled and rubbed the winged horse's body.

The journey lasted a few more minutes, the three arrived at the side of the forest filled with short trees, only a few dpa high. The boisterous sound greeted them, thousands of deer running through the forest making sounds like a line of soldiers on the battlefield. These deer have a body measuring two dpa (four meters), their backs are protected by solid rocks that make them like wearing war clothes.

"The deer backs the stone!"

"Hans this is our hunt!" Old man Hib said by bringing his head closer to Hans' ear. This happens because the wind that blows hard to block the sound of the two, making them more difficult to talk and hear each other.

"Where?!" Hans asked then turned his face in the opposite direction following Hib's right hand.

"WA!" He let out a small scream seeing thousands of deer running through the forest, some large enough to destroy the trees that blocked their movement with their large, hard and strong horns.

"Sir Hib, then how do we hunt them? They're too many!" Hans asked curiously, he was curious and turned to face old man Hib.

"Braus!" Not answering Hans' question, old man Hib called Praus' name.

"Babby!" The horse replied loudly.

"Please hold on to Mr. Hans!" Instantly, the horse swooped sharply at full speed, Hans closing his eyes due to the maneuver. His body as if dropped from a high mountain, he felt his stomach as if in a shake.

"Sir Hib, why are we approaching them like this?!" Hans is further frightened when it turns out that Praus is chasing the deer and approaching them openly.

"Ommm" The deer made a sound when they saw two large wings and a black body approaching them from the sky at high speed. Praus fluttered his two wings, accompanied by a script that splashed into the air, and formed a puff of smoke.

[3] Hanacaraka Javanese script reads 'dalu' which means night.

The two wings grew bigger, overshadowed the entire herd of deer and gave the impression that the night came early. The script then circled the entire herd of deer.

All the deer began to look panicked and smashed into each other on the black wall that enveloped them, trying to get out of the confines of the black curtain.

Praus' body grew up to three times, then his claws that were not large enough are now able to grip the reindeer that was in revolt easily. His sharp claws pierced sharply into the body of a deer that was screaming while moving his body that was drenched in blood.

The character that had previously encircled the herd of deer slowly returned to Praus, the winged horse flying high fluttering its wings at a speed faster than before. Hans was about to spit out his breakfast, lucky he was able to hold it. After the character returned to Praus the veil covering the herd disappeared and they ran frantically to the deepest part of the forest.

Hans looked at the deer hanging from Praus' grip, as if he could not help but hold his curiosity and opened his mouth to ask:

"Sir Hib, the deer is alive?"

Hans asked to see a deer that was drenched in blood in the clutches of Praus.

"Yes, sir, he's alive."

"We have to hurry before-" Until here old man Hib fell silent.

"YES!!!" He shouted, holding Praus' body tightly.

"Mr Hans is holding on tight!" The voice of old man Hibs was so tense, there was also the sound of his behavior.

"Bruck!"

"Bruck!"

Somehow the trees behind them began to fall down one by one, very roughly as if something hit him hard. Hans turned his head several times but found nothing.

"Who is Hib?!" Hans started to panic.

"Look ahead mister Hans don't look back!"

"Preus! Fly higher!" The tension has not subsided, but it is only getting stronger.

Old man Hib asked Prause to fly higher, but just now the dark horse tried to climb up. A huge figure appeared before them, a figure that had appeared out of nowhere!

A huge snake appeared out, its body filled with flames.

"No.." Sir Hib's voice with a trembling tone.

"What's that.. Hib Sir!!!" Hans was wide-eyed, his eyes unwilling to close even if he forced him to.

"Spirit creatures! Moreover, it has two characters!" Old man Hib looks older due to his paled face. The deer hunt at the foot of Praus was released and fell down, even so the creature seemed not interested in the results of their hunt.

"He's not after our hunt, sir? Then what?" Hans whispered as he stared fearfully at the pair of flame-clad eyes.

"He wants the Praus script.."

"RUN!!!!" Old man Hib patted Praus' body, the same script that the previous hunt had re-emerged, making a black puff of smoke within a hundred dpa (two hundred meters) radius. Pak Hib and Praus can communicate inwardly because the agreement between magical beasts and humans unites the two, therefore even though it is old sir Hib will only die when the friend, Praus, met his death.

The black smoke that appeared like a veil that he hoped could save their lives, "Ssssssssssssssssssss" A hiss was heard as the puff of smoke blocked the snake's line of sight. Mr. Hib turned around and was about to let out a sigh of relief when a fire-streaked tail hit them hard.

The flames on the tail formed from the jiha quickly burned Praus' wings, which made him scream. Prause protects the body of old man Hib and Hans, using his wings. Because of the power behind the blow, Hans' small body separated from Praus and old man Hib.

Praus roared loudly due to severe injuries on his wings, while Mr. Hib got up and unfurled his character.

The script glowed and split then into Praus' body, quickly healing his wounds, but Hib's countenance grew paler. Blood began to flow from his nose, he divided the jiha he stored in his uma to Praus. The character emblem on the surface of his hand dimmed, like a battery when it was running out of power. Now only one-third of the light is left.

Praus swiftly stood up, protecting the small body of old man Hib. Hibiscus' eyes anxiously searched for Hans where he was. The fire snake seemed to ignore the two, for some reason it was chasing after Hans who was bouncing while they were still in the air.

**

Hans lost consciousness, lucky it was only for a moment. He opened his eyes, his head still dizzy. But when he opened it his body shuddered, the entire feather on his back stood up. Two pairs of fire-clad eyes, with a long body snaking up to several tens of dpa stared at him sharply. His right arm could not move, it seemed to have suffered a quite serious fracture.

He continued to crawl backwards with the help of his hands, his legs pushing so that his small body continued away from the large creature that was chasing him. Tears melted like rain on both cheeks, but not a word came out of his mouth. He continued to try to retreat, his basic instinct said he had to stay away from two pairs of eyeballs that seemed to float in the middle of the fire.

"Bruck!" His body was like hitting a chewy object, felt fine feathers like Praus touching the back of his body. He turned and called, "Prau-" He thought it was Hib and Praus who came to save him, but when he turned around, he found a large deer standing firmly on his back.

It was not the deer he hunted, but the deer he met while leaning against the window of Atkinson's castle. When viewed up close, it turns out the body of this deer is far, and much larger than he imagined.

Its height reaches fifteen dpa (thirty meters) this deer can even match the height of a giant tree. Hans did not know, that at that time the deer was not in its original form.

Seeing the arrival of the huge deer, the two pairs of eyeballs were like shocked. Suddenly the atmosphere became gripping, the fire snake as if frightened, but reluctant to give up his prey—Hans.

At the center of the deer's head are three brightly lit characters, it is a 'Triaran' or magical beast with three universes.

"Huranumhp!" Like being angry, the deer exhaled loudly and advanced boldly. The fire serpent that had been afraid was as if blinded by his lust to prey on Hans he went forward against his fear.

[5] Javanese script (Hanacaraka) for the word 'Geni' meaning fire.

The two characters then blended together, giving rise to an incredible flame. Burning the forest and all its contents within a radius of hundreds of dpa. Even so the great deer did not budge, the three characters on its head were glowing. Not even the character appeared to him, a pressure began to appear in the air and made the wind and earth seem to tremble. This deer has a power that can even match the master Atkinson, the genius of the medicine world and a very powerful Kawya.

A character first appeared in the air.

[6] The Javanese script (Hanacaraka) which reads 'Usara' which means dew.

Whether it comes from nowhere, the air increasingly gathers and makes the breath become tight. The gathered air then becomes denser and denser, then turns into dew that carries water. The longer the more and more powerful, Hans was dumbstruck, he was silent and unable to say anything. His face turned pale as the air continued to gather and seemed to fill the entire forest, making his breathing even heavier.

Not finished there, other characters appear side by side with the previous characters.

[7] The Javanese script (Hanacaraka) reads 'Farmers' which means breath.

This makes changes in natural conditions more real and makes the trees shake. The fire that previously filled hundreds of dpa from the forest is now slowly reduced due to the increasingly large wind and dew.

The second script makes the whistling in the branches of the tree sound louder, as if responding to the call of the script. Granules spring up from the branches and leaves, giving a feeling of coolness and freshness. The burning trees as if receiving treatment, slowly from the blackened branches began to emerge new shoots quickly as if rising from the dead.

The great serpent knew even to this stage that he would not be able to defeat the enemy before him, and he immediately decided to run. But it has not been able to run, the third character appeared amazingly shaking the entire forest.

The thousands of trees scattered in a radius of nearly six hundred dpa (one thousand and two hundred meters) seemed to join hands, releasing all their leaves. Welcoming the last character that seems to perfect the two other characters.

[8] The Javanese script (Hanacaraka) reads 'wana' which means forest.

Like a song, all the trees and the wind chime, whistling makes thousands of leaves fly like razors. A huge hand formed in the air, formed from thousands of trees mixed with wind and dew. Forming an unimaginable entity, suppressing the fire snake that was originally still fighting back fearfully. Slowly the fire was extinguished, until the two eyes were wide open.

Between the two eyes, two oval objects rotate opposite each other. In each piece there are eight drops of jiha that rotate on a fixed axis, the two objects are Uma[9]. The essence of the power of the users of the characters, the place where they store the jiha they gathered from the universe.

The two uma slowly became dim, as if they were about to disintegrate. The two wide eyes closed and broke around. Soul beings basically have no body, they originally had no mind. It was just that due to the appearance of the uma he was able to use the jiha and slowly form a body of the universe power.

The large deer then approached the place where the snake's body disappeared, then using its large horn pushed the grains as big as cassowary eggs to approach Hans. As if trying to give it to him, Hans was still aghast and did not know what to do.
