“IBUNDA!”

Princess Alessa screamed in surprise at the sight of her unconscious Mother before her eyes. The girl wondered, what was wrong.

“Why Mother pingsang? Say Darius!” the girl was hysterical and started crying again. Though his eyes have narrowed because of the rub.

Darius was silent with his tail his eyes glancing towards the Emperor's room. Princess Alessa followed Darius's line of sight, and he got up and was about to enter the room. However, his hand was blocked by the bodyguard.

“Mr Princess,” Darius shook his head. But, precisely that made Princess Alessa curious.

“If you can't answer, I'll find out for myself!” Princess Alessa brushed off Darius' hand and immediately stepped into the room.

The ladies tried to hold him. Seeing this, Princess Alessa grew increasingly violent. He knows it's not fun.

He entered the room and saw his father sleeping. Beside him were the healers and the higher-ups of the empire. He was also more astonished.

“What is this?”

They were silent, Princess Alessa was furious.

“Are you deaf? I asked! What are you guys gathering here for? You don't see the emperor sleeping?”

They're all down. Princess Alessa thought of something. He approached the bed and saw the Emperor sleeping very fast, not even he saw his Father take a breath. Princess Alessa tried to raise her trembling hand, touching Emperor Basil's deathly pale face.

Chilly

Why is it so cold?

Princess Alessa uncovers the blanket and grabs the Emperor's hand. Same, it's cold. Princess Alessa choked, shaking her head with tears that burst out.

“No... no.. This is impossible,” he said softly.

“Your Majesty!” Darius came from outside the room. He could see the pain in the eyes of the Princess.

Princess Alessa covered her mouth, then wiped her wet cheeks. He rubbed the Emperor's hand.

“Ayahanda, wake up... don't you see if the sun has risen?” whispered. The girl smiled a bitter smile. “Please... wake up..” now he rests at the side of the bed while peeping the hands of the Emperor. “Dad... hu.. father...wake up...don't leave me...”.

Darius approached and grabbed the princess' body. Princess Alessa roared to call her dead father. What a heartbreaking tragedy. It was like falling down, hit by a ladder. Not yet dry of his wounds due to the betrothal, now Princess Alessa must accept the reality of her father who has died.

The news of the aborted engagement and the death of the Emperor spread to the corners of the small kingdom under the rule of the Aegis, all grieving and mourning for more than 10 consecutive days.

Princess Alessa herself locked herself in a room without wanting to be visited, her world seemed to collapse and seemed to have no spirit to live. Emperor Basil whom he knew as a father was very affectionate and always spoiled him. Someone who has always supported her besides her Mother, Empress Rhea, has now slept eternally in catacombe*.

“Alessa Princess,” call someone.

The man entered the room. Princess Alessa turned her head for a moment to find out who was coming. If a lady-in-waiting comes, it is certain to be punished by Princess Alessa. He didn't want to talk to anyone at all. But except for his family.

It turned out that the concubine Maria Eve came with her son, Prince Judas.

“My Son's daughter,” Consort Eve stretched out a hand offering a hug.

Princess Alessa who had not cried finally returned to remember the fateful incident.she rose from her bed and clasped the body of Consort Maria Eve.

The girl's body trembled with a stifled sob.

Concubine Maria gently rubbed the back of Princess Alessa. “Cry as much as you want,” entertain him.

“I... I miss Father..”.

“Judas and I felt the same way. Princess, we are both in mourning. But, until when did you lock yourself up?”

Concubine Maria carried Princess Alessa's face towards her until they met. “Come out, breathe fresh air with Judas. He has a suitable place to let go of your grief,” his advice.

“Yes, I have an interesting place,” Judas said.

Princess Alessa looked at the two members of her family who were smiling kindly, and began to think about the offer. However, the moment Princess Alessa would answer the presence of someone delayed it.

“Long live Her Highness Princess Alessa!” Empress Rhea came with Mr. Cicero with her.

Consort Maria Eve and Prince Judas saluted the Empress.

“Long live Empress Rhea,” say they are together.

This time Prince Judas bowed. Princess Alessa frowned looking at that.

Empress Rhea just smiled back at the greetings of Consorts Mary and Judas. The woman said seriously to her daughter.

“Alessa's Princess, there's a very urgent thing you should do right now!”

“What is Mother?”

Empress Rhea turned to Mr. Cicero. The old man took over.

“We talk about this court hall!”

“Trial space? What is it Mr Cicero?” Consort Maria manyahut.

“You will know when we are there,” replied Mr. Cicero. The old man's attitude did not go unnoticed by Prince Judas.

“Come Princess Alessa, all the officials have been waiting for your presence there,” invite Empress Rhea.

The confused Princess Alessa can only follow her mother leading her to the court hall.

“With the will of the late Emperor Basil, as well as seeing the lineage of the nearest descendants of His Majesty then the throne of the next Emperor will be given to Princess Alessa Melaina Aphrodite!” exclaim Mr. Cicero as judge of the Aegis empire.

The decision made suddenly and seemed hasty it certainly surprised various parties, one of which was Consort Maria Eve with Prince Judas Klark.

“AKU REJECT!” yelled Judas at that moment. His blaring voice filled the hall of the trial.

“Prince Judas?” Mr. Cicero frowned and saw Prince Judas descending the court attendant's seat.

The young man smiled kindly after standing before the judge's pulpit.

“Sorry to interrupt your decision, Mr. Cicero... I loudly objected, because what?” Judas changed his face to a pitiful one and cast a glance at Princess Alessa. “I feel sorry for my beloved sister, had to carry a heavy burden when our father's body was still fresh meat. You understand what I mean ‘kan?”

“I'm sorry Prince Judas, all for the good of the empire. Princess Alessa had to take the throne to fill the power vacuum. Whether he is willing or not, whether he is happy or not. It's an absolute decision!”  firmly Mr. Cicero.

“How can Mr Cicero be so heartless?” Judas stared intently at Mr. Cicero, he hissed.

Princess Alessa felt there would be a feud if it was allowed to continue. “Sister, I'm fine. Thank you for your great attention to me. I am willing to accept the throne,” he said.

“Puteri Alessa..” Judas turned his head and was a little surprised.

“You ready, my daughter?” ask Empress Rhea.

Princess Alessa nodded. Mr. Cicero smiled with relief. Judas was silent, he lowered his head for a moment and turned his face. He looked at Princess Alessa and bowed respectfully.

“Long lifespan His Majesty the Emperor,” he said.

Consort Maria pursed her lips and left the hall.
