Him, my Daughter's Father

Him, my Daughter's Father
Chapter 18

"What are you here for?" Mahesa looked at Tania who came carrying Salsa angrily.

"Salsa kangen with her father Mas." Tania said with a kiss while hugging Salsa.

"Lad..." Salsa was ready to hug Mahesa, but the man spontaneously retreated.

"Yes..."

"He's got his real father, you can take him to jail to meet your lover" Mahesa said.

Yes, a few days after Tania and Salsa's expulsion that day, Mahesa finally manages to catch Ben who is a drug addict, and is a fugitive. Until without difficulty, Mahesa immediately threw the man into prison.

For Tania, she is forced to free the woman after cheating on her for years, for Salsa who has no one but her mother.

"Is 5 years of living with my property not enough for you Tania? If it wasn't for Salsa you had to take care of, do you think I'd let you roam free?"

"But Salsa really misses you Mas..."

Mahesa let out a heavy sigh, staring at Salsa for a moment.

"This is the consequence you have to accept for lying to her since she was born, so it's none of my business!"

"Mas!"

"And yes, don't you think I'll forget how you separated me from my daughter and took care of your daughter! He must lose his affection and all his rights because of you. I'm still trying to hold back my emotions because Salsa's here, so you better leave before I lose control."

"At least let Salsa here Mas..."

"Lad..."

"I can't take care of my biological daughter, so I won't take care of your daughter anymore!" jolt Mahesa and enter the house, closing the door slowly.

He could hear how Salsa was crying, but his affection for the boy only continued to remind him of his mistake with Puspita and Dinda.

"Why do you have the same faith as Salsa Mahesa?" Rita, the older sister looked at Mahesa annoyed. Even though he knew the truth, he still loved Salsa more than Puspita's daughter who he did not remember his name.

"Because letting her be here just makes me keep remembering what I did to Puspita and Dinda."

"But Salsa has been your daughter for 4 years, all your love is overflowing just because of the new truth you know."

"Because of the lies Tania created, Puspita had to accept vile slander, making her leave in a state of containing Dinda. And they have to suffer for years, is it fair enough for them to just drive Tania and Salsa out of this house?"

"Hey, why are you guys making a noise? What's the matter?" santi asked out of her room.

"Tadi Tania came with Salsa Ma, but was expelled with Mahesa. He's really mean to Salsa because of an ex-wife who doesn't even want to take him anymore!" rita replied.

"Puspita divorced Mahesa because of Tania's lie, Rit. Why do you still hate him?" santi asked without thinking.

"Because what I consider a niece is Salsa, not Puspita's son."

"But Dinda is your niece! He is more deserving of what Tania and Salsa have been able to during this time" Santi replied.

Feeling embarrassed to hear the debate in front of him, Mahesa chose to leave the house to look for fresh air.

"Why did Mama even remember that woman anyway! Despite our misunderstanding, Mama should remember that we never approve of Mahesa's relationship with Puspita" said Rita.

"Yes, but Mama just realized that Puspita is much better than we thought. You should've realized after knowing Tania's lies."

"Huh! He also wants to marry her the same? So there's no point in Mahesa thinking about the woman."

"Stop hating Rita, because our boutique made a family uniform for your daughter's engagement is the boutique Puspita. You should be ashamed if you continue to scorn her like this."

"What's? So that's Puspita's button?"

"True, Mahesa said it!"

"She is not only a hardworking woman, she is also a mother who educates her daughter well. That's what makes Mama realize that Puspita is much better than Tania whom Mama has been proud of."

Meanwhile, Mahesa who chose to meet Dinda smiled thinly to find her daughter was playing on the front page with Bi Ani.

The man got out of the car and immediately approached Dinda with a paper bag in her hand.

"Om Mahes?"

His heart ached to hear his daughter calling him 'Om', but he knew he couldn't blame anyone for this, because he was in fact wrong.

"Hey baby, I brought you some chocolate for Dinda." Mahesa showed the paper bag in her hand, which was then greeted politely by Dinda.

"Thank you Om."

Mahesa sighed. "If Dinda calls Dad, will you? So Dinda's got Papa Revan and Mahesa's dad, what?"

Dinda seemed to think, until the next second nodded in response. Mahesa smiled happily, directly hugging her little daughter tightly.

"Where's mama, baby?"

"The hospital."

"Hospital?" Mahesa suddenly panicked.

"Yes, it's been Papa Revan's two days of guarding."

Mahesa looked at Bi Ani who was not far from them demanding an explanation.

"Medica Hospital sir."

Mahesa immediately said goodbye to her daughter, then headed straight to the hospital. He was upset when his car was stuck in traffic.

A few minutes passed until she finally arrived at the hospital, Mahesa immediately went to the Puspita nursery that she had previously asked the receptionist.

The man walked in a hurry, until he finally stopped right in front of his ex-wife's nursery. Seen from the bedroom window, Puspita was closing her eyes with a ventilator covering her nose and mouth.

Just about to open the door handle, when Revan comes over.

"Mahesa, how did you get here?"

"Why didn't you tell me about her condition?" his frown returned a question, looking at Revan annoyed.

"At least even if I'm just her ex-husband, I deserve to know as the father of her daughter" she added.

"Right, you're just his daughter's father. That's what I want, Puspita just thinks of you as her daughter's father."

"What do you mean?"

"The little love he still has for you, is the reason why he refuses to tell you. Though I have repeatedly asked him to tell you, but he refused on the grounds that you do not need to know. But I know that's not the reason. But because he still loves you, he doesn't want you to feel sad because you saw him."

Mahesa he did not dwell, Revan's speech made him feel happy and sad at the same time. He is happy, because he knows that Puspita still has feelings for him, but he is also sad because he does not know the state of Puspita.

"You want to know what disease makes him lie weak in that bed?" revan asked him.

"What?"

"Leukemia."

"Leukemia?"

"True, and the condition is getting worse because the prospective donor died in an accident, and until now we have not received a new donor."

Seriate.
