Him, my Daughter's Father

Him, my Daughter's Father
Chapter 20

Puspita cries beside Mahesa who is lying on top of a hospital cage. He did not expect that it was Mahesh who had donated the spinal cord to him. And the man fell into a coma after experiencing serious complications after seeing him that day. If he knew it would be like this, he wouldn't have you operated on, unfortunately by then he wasn't even conscious.

"Why didn't you tell me about this?" ask her with a bit of a whim, at Revan who was next to her.

"Because he forbade me to do so."

"Why? Why don't you stop him!"

"Because he's authorized to sign the operation approval papers, as Dinda's father."

Revan's explanation made Puspita unable to hold back her tears. She did not expect that Mahesa would sacrifice this much for her sake, and would even risk her own life.

Puspita wiped her rough tears, staring at Mahesa.

"Thank you for the health you gave me."

He knew that, regretting and forcing the doctor to take back his spinal cord was now useless, all he could do was thank Mahesa and pray that the man would be fine.

Revan who saw it could only try to shake off his ego, who was so eager to pull Puspita out of this room. But his conscience says he must not say that, especially considering Mahesa's great sacrifice to the woman who is now his wife.

"She's really regretted what she did in the past, and proved that she still loves you so much." He said slowly, but still to the ears of Puspita.

The woman soon realizes that if Revan is now her husband, she immediately stands up and looks at Revan.

"Sorry to cross the line." Her speech. Although she currently has no more feelings for Revan, she still knows her limits as a wife.

"I don't give you boundaries, so no one crosses the line."

"Revan..." Puspita clearly knew that Revan was saying it while enduring jealousy.

"I'll buy sandwiches and drinks for us, accompany her and talk to her, maybe she'll notice if she hears your voice."

Revan went straight out afterwards, making Puspita only able to hold back her guilt and keep Mahesa company. Right after Revan left, Santi and Rita were standing outside.

"Thank you for coming." Santi's words make Puspita full.

"Why did you hide it from me, if it wasn't Tania who came and said everything, maybe..."

Puspita did not continue his sentence, however, whatever he said would not change the current state of Mahesa. The woman was bowed in Mahesa's cage, when a touch made her look up.

He stared in surprise as well as happily, seeing Mahesa open her eyes.

"Sir..."

A few days later, Mahesa's condition improved. After almost a full week of being treated by Puspita, it was not for heavy things because the woman had also not completely healed. Puspita only served to accompany and feed Mahesa eat.

It is not Puspita's desire that clearly knows there is a heart that is hurt, it is just that Revan continues to urge him to obey Mahesa's wishes after being aware.

"Don't leave me again."

At first she thought Mahesa would be fine after she refused, but the man's situation worsened afterwards. And only after Puspita complied with his wishes after being allowed Revan, did Mahesa's condition improve.

"Now, can I go home?" ask Puspita when they are beside the pool, at Mahesa's house.

Mahesh did not lose his memory, nor was Mahesh paralyzed from doing everything himself. It's just that the man's attitude seems spoiled after waking up, of course only on Puspita.

It does not cross the line, it's just that Puspita who is aware of the status between them and his current status feels really uncomfortable.

"Sure, sorry for keeping your husband jealous for too long. I just want to enjoy our time together before I really have to let you go."

Puspita gasped at Mahesa's words, not expecting Mahesa to say them.

"It seems like one Sunday is enough to give me a good memory that was never there during our marriage. Puspita, once again forgive me for the wrong I have done to you."

After that day, Mahesa completely released Puspita. Never mind asking for company like the previous Sunday, even the man did not glance at him at all when picking up Dinda who occasionally stayed at Mahesa's house. His attitude changed formally.

Like today, the new Mahesa took Dinda away just greeting her briefly.

"Do you regret marrying me?" tanya Revan surprised the dreamy Puspita.

"What about his name in your heart?"

"If I'm to be honest, I still keep his name in a corner of my heart. But trust me, if my love for you also slowly begins to exist."

"I hope that feeling grows quickly, even though you chose me because of Dinda."

"Revan?" Puspita surprised. She didn't expect Revan to finally find out why.

"I was hurt at first, but come to think of it, you must be mine after all these years of waiting for my bed." Revan hugged Puspita from behind possessively, but also lovingly.

This is one of the traits of Revan that makes Puspita slowly feel love. The man was never rude to her, or just raised his voice. They had known her for so long, even before she married Mahesa.

Then, how could he waste the opportunity when the man proposed to him somehow? If at first he refuses because he feels quite traumatized by the marriage, but not anymore.

She realized marriage could feel different if she tried. And true, Revan always acted and spoke soft words to him. The man also did not stop loving Dinda, until he realized that the attitude Revan showed was a sincerity that he would not get from any man.

If he had initially accepted Revan's proposal just for considering Dinda, not now. He felt the decision he had made was the best decision.

Despite Mahesa's change in attitude that has become better, even decided to raise Salsa who was abandoned by Tania due to depression. He never regretted his decision not to go back to the man.

Now, the marriage has reached 2 years. And right on the day of their anniversary, Puspita will give an unexpected surprise.

She was ready to eat with cookies and candles, having previously asked Dinda to go to bed earlier.

She turned the lights off, so when Revan opened the door, she turned on the lights and closed her husband's eyes.

"Puspita, what's going on?"

Puspita chuckles at Revan's panic. She led her husband to sit in a prepared chair.

"Neither..."

Puspita took her hand out of Revan's eyes, letting her husband see a special surprise from her.

"Sir..." Revan looked dumbfounded happy, when a small two-striped object was in front of him. He was inexperienced as a father, but he was a doctor who clearly knew what it was.

Revan immediately stood up and held Puspita, happily turning his wife around.

"Mas, the baby will be nauseous" his grunts who actually get a soft kiss on his lips.

Puspita silenced, the next second patted Revan's chest slowly.

"Thank you for giving me this wonderful gift."

"That's a gift to the best doctor in the world."

"Best doctor?" revan asked confused.

"Eum, not only heal physical wounds, but also liver wounds."

"Since when has my beautiful wife loved to flirt?"

"Since pregnancy maybe."

"I'm so happy that soon I'll be a father."

Puspita smiled happily, but the thought recalled the moment she told Mahesa about Dinda's pregnancy. It's a long time ago, but it's not something that can be easily forgotten.

"I promise you, I will obey everything you want." said Revan, awakening Puspita from daydreams.

"really?" Puspita smiled ignorantly.

"Anything!" Revan said with confidence.

"Hem, it looks like I'd love to see you bald Mas..."

"WHAT!"

...Done it...
