Chapters 15. Loretta's weirdness
“Thank you for your help, Sir. I truly feel indebted to Mr.”, Lynette said in earnest.
After the arrival of Kyler who helped herself and Loretta from the danger of the fiancee of actor Olsen Carter, Lynette felt very grateful. She was so terrified that Olsen's fiancee tried to injure Lore with her dagger still in her hand, but it was fortunate that Kyler was able to cope despite her own injury.
Kyler said nothing but a nod of the head in response to Lynette's thanks. Loretta too, did not say much because still a little shocked by the brutal action of the fiancee of her lover. Kyler then asked two bodyguards to deliver Lynette, while he himself drove Loretta with the other bodyguards following from behind.
On the way back to the mansion, Lore still seemed silent until a few minutes later she opened her voice with one short sentence that sounded quite strange. Yeah, it's weird that maybe that line just came out of his lips for a lifetime.
Kyler heard that even though Lore's voice was so slow. The flat-faced man had no intention of responding to it. He thought, the girl's head might have hit earlier or she was still in a state of shock and unconscious so said so.
“You didn't hear me?” ask Lore who feels neglected.
The woman changed her seat to look in the rearview mirror and could stare at the serious-looking bodyguard with the steering wheel. Kyler still did not reply but had a glance at the rearview mirror and their eyes had met. However, it did not last long as Kyler who was too Fast decided to take his eyes off.
Feeling annoyed by her bodyguard's overly indifferent attitude, Loretta moved from the back seat to the front seat beside the driver. Seeing that Kyler reflexively held Lore's hand helped her move safely.
“Why are you so indifferent to me?” asked Lore as soon as she had sat down properly. “Hey, I'm talking to you, Sia*lan!” He was already really upset because Kyler acted like a mute person and also as if he was deaf.
“I heard it,” is just that Kyler's answer. Short dense and unclear. Yeah, I don't know which words he's listening to.
“Sh*it! You can't talk properly or at least a little more than just ‘I heard it’, so?” Loretta's usual attitude relapsed again.
Kyler was still the same, looking calm and unaffected by Lore's words that began to stir. “No need to thank. It is my duty to protect you,” Kyler explained.
Ah, it turned out to be the expression of gratitude spoken by Lore. However, it really sounds strange if it comes out of Loretta's lips that are synonymous with spicy words titled arrogance. It was different if the other person who said it sounded so sincere and beautiful.
“Why haven't you said that since?” To be honest there was a bit of pleasure in Lore's heart because she knew that Kyler didn't really ignore her.
Why should I feel happy too? Nope, no! He's still sia*lan's bodyguard.
Loretta again put on a haughty face and improved her sitting style slightly sideways in order to see Kyler since then become straight forward.
After Kyler's speech there was no more talk between them. Only Lore sometimes turned her head for a moment towards her bodyguards. Not long after, the car entered the gate of the mansion. From a distance, both Lore and Kyler could see if Gilmer was waiting for their arrival there.
The car stops and Kyler is about to get off and open the door for Lore, but her movements stop as Loretta blocks one of her hands. Kyler looked up and looked confused.
“You're hurt and you shut up?” Just noticed the cut on Kyler's hand.
“Only small wound.” Brushed off Lore's hand slowly and got straight out of the car.
Lore was fixated on seeing the wound and the attitude of her bodyguard. He was too cold and not easily touched. Somehow that attitude became an attraction for Loretta and foolishly she only realized at that time. Lore kept staring until the man opened the door for her.
“Thanks,” says Lore.
On that occasion Kyler raised his head and looked at his master's daughter. He felt that something was different from Loretta. Counted twice she thanked him in a day and it sounded strange in Kyler's ear. The man was sure that even others would feel the same way as him if they heard that.
What's wrong with him today?
Ignoring the awkwardness, Kyler allowed Lore to step inside the mansion first. All of their actions are monitored directly by Gilmer and Kyler realizes it.
