Chapter 6. Testings

Loretta threw her face somewhere else, a little embarrassed by her father's words that seemed to make her feel cornered. Awkwardness had occurred, but did not last long because it was overcome by Gilmer's next speech.

“Already, daddy knows you can't judge now because you haven't seen his ability, right?” Loretta nodded, then looked back at the man before her in a much calmer and haughty manner.

Slightly lifting his chin while flicking his hair back, Loretta said, “Then I want to see now, whether Daddy's choice is really reliable or not.” He folded both his hands on his chest.

A pair of hazel beads stared intently at the beautiful woman who was speaking before him. Many plans suddenly flashed through his mind in silence. I don't know, but the man is like a sophisticated robot that has been programmed specifically to detect opponents.

“Of course, Honey! That's all that matters, but more importantly if it all starts with an introduction first. Isn't that right, Mr Revas?” Gilmer spoke to his daughter and ended with a question to the bodyguard.

“Oh, yeah. Of course.” The man immediately extended his hand first to Lore. “Kyler Revas,” he said while slightly looking down.

Without receiving the bodyguard's hand, Loretta still folded her hands on her chest with a haughty face.

“I thought you knew who I was, didn't you? So no need to make small talk. Just show me your skills, Mr. Kyler Revas!” Lore's words were so calm but clearly challenging.

Well, Kyler calmly lowered his still outstretched hand, then nodded slowly. Meanwhile, Gilmer was no longer astonished to see his daughter's haughty demeanor. He did not mind because he thought, let it be part of Kyler's efforts to tame the client.

Perhaps that way, Loretta would no longer take this as a compulsion.

“Alright, Kyle. You also need to get acquainted with some bodyguards here.” Gilmer walks out of his study after taking Kyler and Loretta with him.

The three walk casually with Kyle faithfully following the father and son towards a large and spacious building at the back. It is located quite far away with a distance of 200 meters from the main house. Beside him, there was a two-story building with dozens of rooms inside, which were the rooms of the servants and guards in the ministry.

Kyler stared at his surroundings meticulously as well as the head that occasionally nodded. Either he was amazed or something else was going through his mind.

Along the way, there was no conversation between them. It made Kyle appear dreamy and unaware that they had arrived at their destination. Suddenly the sound of the door closing was so loud, along with a knife that floated and pointed right at Kyler. Luckily the handsome-looking man quickly responded, then dodged quickly.

Uncompleted by the shock, a wooden beam was thrown back at him again from the side. He swiftly turned the body and then deflected the beam with a kick, then followed by his head that was bent backward with the body slightly curved in a fraction of a second, avoid the second knife which is then stuck behind the door.

The next second the door opened again, followed by a boisterous applause from a number of burly men who had somehow suddenly appeared from nowhere, as well as Gilmer and Loretta who had just entered.

Oh, wow! Good test.

Kyler sat down while tidying up her slightly cluttered clothes while still putting on a calm look, as if nothing had happened before. However, his hazel bead stared intently at everyone who was there.

“Good job, Kyler. Highly trained movements like.” Gilmer seemed satisfied with what he had witnessed. The middle-aged man patted Kyler on the shoulder several times, then went back to saying, “But that alone is not enough.”

After saying so, Gilmer retreated and sat on the oversized chair provided by his men, beside Lore who had sat first.

Meanwhile, Kyler did not have time to ask, but he understood when suddenly five men with muscular bodies began to surround him, once a flick of a finger sounded as a command. Inevitably, Kyler returned to serve them.

Loretta sat down while crossing her legs overlaying the others, then smirked haughtily watching the fierce 5-on-1 fight. Inwardly, Lore was so happy that she was convinced that Kyler would not pass the selection of being her personal bodyguard. He would be far away feeling calm and accepted, if only given an escort from his father's bodyguards.

Loretta thought that way, she could be a little free because it was easy for her to fool the father's men. Of course this is common for a Loretta Collins. However, not for five minutes, Loretta's face that had been decorated with a cynical smile, suddenly filled with shock and panic.

I-this is impossible! No way!

Loretta did not expect that her father's four men were so easily defeated by a single member of Noco Miles. Not yet out of panic, Loretta was made dead lice because the only bodyguard left, was successfully overthrown by Kyler.

The father and son compactly got up from his seat, but with different expressions. Gilmer clearly smiled happily and was satisfied to see Kyler's ability was so stunning, while Loretta was wide in disbelief.

Sh*it! What the fuck? No, no, no …!

“You are amazing, Kyler. I didn't choose the wrong bodyguard for my daughter,” Gilmer said proudly. He held out his hand, which was immediately welcomed by Kyler. “Welcome to join us and welcome to work from this second too!” he insisted firmly. The two shake hands, an early sign of Kyler's role as a bodyguard for the Collins family's Young Miss.

“How, Darla? You saw it for yourself, didn't you?” Gilmer turned around, then asked his daughter.

“Ehm! Not bad, Dad," Lore replied calmly.

As usual, he always put on a haughty face that seemed to have become innate from birth. The woman slightly nodded her head, as if also acknowledging Kyler's abilities. However, inwardly, he unceasingly cursed.

Gilmer chuckled as he read the look on the princess's face that he had met so often.

“Already, Darla. From now on, he'll come with you wherever you go. Daddy hope you can keep your attitude a little bit,” Gilmer reminded his daughter.

He then soon passes from there leaving Lore with Kyler and the other bodyguards. As Kyler becomes acquainted with all of Gilmer's men, Loretta is busy thinking of ways to escape her new bodyguard.

I'll get rid of you, stupid bodyguard. Let's see it later.

“Had enough introduction? Now come with me!” tell Lore suddenly.
