Alex read the entire two books and studied them closely. Sometimes, he did not understand what his words meant but he learned them after rereading the book several times. For him, who did not have a single teacher on Earth, rereading was essential to learning something he could not understand if he had no other source to examine. However, this process took a lot of time and it was already noon.

Alex sighed and got out of bed.

"I have to leave this place right now. John and Sandra could have made the king exile me from the castle, so I was worried they could convince him to kill me too. I'd better move somewhere else or maybe to another kingdom. If I remember the things they discussed in the castle, Mary will go to the Holy Kingdom, which means the Kingdom of Acacia will have no one who knows me. I'll go there instead."

He didn't want to die like this. Even if he had to perish with the other four, he only wanted to pay back John and Sandra no matter how long it took. At least, he could see that he had a better chance of revenge, unlike on Earth when he had already lost to John's status and wealth.

Fortunately, he found the Adventurer Guild just like he had expected from Fantasy World. He entered the building without hesitation and found a hall that was mostly made of wood, filled with people.

“First of all, I have to go to the receptionist this time,” muttered Alex to himself while looking around and finding a counter with some people in certain uniforms talking to those scary looking people. Unfortunately, he could not see the receptionist for free except for one person.

He is a bald and muscular man, his appearance looks disproportionate because his head is smaller than his muscles. But Alex can see the friendly and feminine attitude of the person.

Although she did not want to get close to the man, she was forced to do so because the man seemed to have plenty of time to explain everything to her.

Walking forward, he arrived in front of the receptionist and looked at her while gulping.

"Hello, how can I help you?" Ask the receptionist in a very feminine voice.

Alex knitted his eyebrows.

Even though he expected a response like this, inevitably he wanted to escape. Still, he held back and gathered enough courage to answer politely as if there was nothing strange either from his appearance or manner of speaking.

"Hello. I'm new here. Can I register as an adventurer?"

"certain. Did you bring your status card?" The muscular man nodded with a smile.

"Yes. What do you need it for?" Alex asked as he handed her the status card.

"We just need to update your work. If you already have a high-level job, this job will be your side job."

He took Alex's status card and looked at his status. He's dumbfounded.

“Master... Are you sure you want to be an adventurer with this status?”

“I understand why you ask such a question to me. I had a weak condition from birth, but I planned to travel to many places while searching for plants or herbs on the way. My teacher had taught me how to survive in the wild, so I was confident that I could seek missions like this in the Adventurers Guild. That's why I came to sign up."

The muscular man stared at him for a few seconds, hesitating to take out the guild card. But he could only sigh and nod.

"I will respect your wishes, but I need to remind you once again. Please be careful out there. We will not be responsible for anything that happens outside the guild."

Alex slightly lowered his head before asking. “It's okay for me. Do you have a map here?”

"Yes. We sell maps into three categories: standard, detail, and custom. The standard contains basic information about villages and towns around the kingdom. Detail maps look similar to standard maps but have more detail, including danger zones and safe zones. As for the latter, it is usually only for a certain place, but it is drawn to the exact details. "

Alex thought for a moment.

He had no idea what he might need in the future with this money, so he planned to keep it.

Alex hands the silver coin to the receptionist.

"This is your map and your status card."

After receiving the payment, he handed over the map along with Alex's status card.

"alright. Thank ye. And one last question, is there a caravan heading to the Alisian Forest?"

Alex glanced at the map and showed the nearby forest of this place.

“They are widely found in west gate. Unfortunately, today it is difficult to find it because it often departs in the morning. If interested in using their services, it is better to go there at dawn... Do you have any more questions?"
