Chapter 29

"I-I killed Reina" he said in a trembling voice.

"Huh?" Lucas dropped the cake he wanted to eat with mulit that was still open.

They were silent for a few seconds, making sure that what they heard was not wrong. Zeria had also suspected that the one who killed Reina must have been someone close to them, but she did not expect that it turned out to be Eric.

"You killed him?" The big golden eyes that were staring at Eric were really serious, not even he turned his gaze away even blinking.

"Yes" she answered nervously and in fear. What if Zeria was so angry and threw it away? "Please, don't throw me away" her tears drip.

"Wait first. I don't understand, why did you kill him? And what reason? Though we haven't told you that Reina is a traitor" Lucas is very clueless about Eric's behavior.

"I, you know, from the start" Eric lowered his head in fear of looking into Zeria's eyes.

"Huh" Lucas sighed "We have to finish this, I'll report it to you" Lucas got up from the couch and was about to go to report, but Zeria held him back by holding his sleeve. His gaze was creepy, as if telling Lucas to stay seated still.

"Don't" said Zeria, from his eyes it was seen that it was not a ban but a threat. Lucas had to obey him.

Zeria kept holding onto Lucas's sleeve so he wouldn't go anywhere. He tried to calm himself down so as not to ask many questions at once. "Why?" That was the first question Zeria asked.

"Because he wanted to harm the Princess" His hands clenched tightly, Eric held back his tears from dripping.

"Then, why didn't you buy us at the beginning?" Zeria asked the next question.

Eric took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, "Because I want to solve it myself and don't want you to mind" His voice trembled.

Lucas's facial complexion looked unkind, apparently upset by the answer Eric gave. "If it's me, why do you have to solve it yourself?" Lucas held Zeria's hand tightly, and Zeria felt Lucas' trembling hand.

"I told you already"

"It doesn't make sense!" Lucas cut off Eric's speech.

Zeria pulled up Lucas's sleeve and told him to calm down. "Then why did you put something in my drink?" This is the third question of Zeria.

"I.I intended to kill him right then and there, and I knocked you unconscious so you wouldn't see anything terrible. But as it turned out, I was hurt worse than I had expected" he replied with a voice that grew increasingly vibrating, his voice starting to sound smaller.

"Okay, that's my final question. So you do your punishment that I mentioned earlier" Zeria said and snapped her finger, then the chain that bound Eric shattered.

"Eh? But-"

"Hiks..thank you" Eric cried but he kept walking in the corner of the room and carried out the punishment from Zeria.

Eric looks so funny. She was crying, but she kept doing the punishment Zeria gave her, and it made Zeria laugh a little.

"Zeria, is it okay if we let it go?" Lucas is worried that Eric will change his mind and injure Zeria.

"It's okay, just calm down. If she does something bigger in this, I will take responsibility for her" Zeria replied with a smile still etched on her face. "I believe he wouldn't do the same thing again without my permission" He was as sure as he was that Eric wouldn't do anything else.

Lucas is silent, and tries to trust Eric as Zeria does. And finally just keep quiet without reporting the actions that Eric has done.

The investigation into Reina's death was closed, as the evidence at the scene was lacking. Especially for what Reina had done, it was considered appropriate to be accepted by him.

After Louise declares that the investigation has been terminated, Count Claes' family is ordered to come to the palace and asked for an explanation. As it turns out, the family of Count Claes is threatened by the King of Akasha Kingdom to give their surname to Reina, so that Reina can enter the Princess Palace and become a lady-in-waiting, then kill Zeria.

After hearing the explanation from the head of the Count Claes family that made a lot of sense and also some very clear evidence. Louise, along with her army, heads to the Akasha Kingdom and takes down all the members of the kingdom, King Akasha, the Queen, and their son. All those people, they've been planning Zeria's murder since Zeria was born.

As King Akasha has a grudge against Louise, they decide to kill the young Zeria.

Six years have passed since the murder. Currently Zeria is very adept at using magic, even now Arin can make himself visible to others.

Now Zeria is seven years old, living peacefully with those closest to her. Louise who approaches him every day despite being busy. Lucas was always with Zeria. Eric's always worried about anything that's Zeria. And Azra, the only child of the Claes family, is asked to be a interlocutor while serving Zeria to make amends.

#Zeria Room

"Excuse me, I brought tea" Eric stood at the door carrying a tray in his hand.

"Come here" Zeria waved her hand from the sofa in the middle of the room.

Lucas sat right next to Zeria, and Azra sat in front of them. Eric approached the three of them and placed his tray on the table, then walked towards the window, and sat down right at the window.

Her blonde hair that was exposed to the sun was dazzling, and her green eyes that were matching the trees were refreshing to the eyes. That's what Eric looks like in Zeria's eyes.

As for Azra, her dark purple hair was very pampering for the eyes, and her bright purple eyes were very beautiful.

Such was the daily life of Zeria together they were three, land and peace, very very very peaceful. Until it feels boring.
