KKBL Chapter 13

Xavier felt guilty when he saw Kiara coming out of his room while holding onto her cheek that Diska had slapped. The former slap must have felt very painful. Otherwise, it might get red so much and her secretary kept holding her cheek.

Last time, Diska slapped him pretty hard. Did it leave blisters on his face?

Instantly, Xavier became confused as to what to do. He has never been in a position like this during his time as CEO. Due to his shock and panic, Xavier's brain was suddenly empty.

Finally, Xavier decides to open the phone, then find out on the internet what he can do to help Kiara relieve her pain. After all, this was his fault so Xavier felt responsible.

A few minutes passed before a faint smile was etched onto his extremely tense face.  After reading on the internet, Xavier immediately exited the room and walked quickly towards the pantry to pick up the ice cubes. The OB is in the pantry to his surprise, because for the first time since they worked, Xavier set foot in the pantry. 

Without daring to ask any more let alone argue, the OBs gave Xavier ice cubes and clean cloths. Xavier returned to the room. He wanted to approach Kiara to help compress her cheeks directly. However, a senior secretary swiftly stood up and volunteered to help.

"Sir, let me be, please" said the middle-aged man.

"No, let me. You keep working!" Xavier stayed close to Kiara.

The senior secretary complies and returns to his desk, letting Xavier do what he wants.

However, upon reaching Kiara's table, Xavier instead got a very heart-piercing cold gaze from Kiara. However, Kiara's attitude remained polite, she stood up and bowed slightly respectfully. Then, in a formal tone that further disturbed Xavier's heart, he asked, "Is there anything I can help you with, sir?" 

Kiara's question awakens Xavier who was dumbstruck by Kiara's totally changed attitude. Not long after, Xavier refocused. As he looked at Kiara's cheeks with a red hand stamp that contrasted with her white skin, Xavier felt even more guilty and Kiara could see that. 

Kiara was very happy in her heart because she deliberately showed off the slap marks on Xavier and wanted Xavier to feel guilty. That way, Kiara can take advantage of Xavier's feelings to make the man even more washed away in his charm. 

Sure enough, his boss was a little confused because of shock and guilt. "I-This. Em, I got ice. Let me help compress–" 

He insisted on compressing Kiara's wounds. "It's my fault, so let me help you."

Kiara was silent for a moment but finally she said, "I'm really flattered, sir. Thank you." Thank you." He sat down and watched Xavier, waiting for the man to help him.

Xavier who heard Kiara's innuendo like choking on his own spit until he could not say anything. Even so he still approached Kiara and helped her.

While compressing Kiara's cheek, Xavier apologizes for causing Diska to slap her. Unfortunately, Kiara did not respond and just kept quiet as if she had heard nothing. Xavier becomes even more worried as Kiara does not argue when Xavier says it is her fault and now Kiara does not answer her apology either. Xavier was very sure that now this woman before him was really angry and probably hated him.

Xavier again tried to explain, but Kiara cut back before Xavier could say, "No need to feel bad, sir. I'm just a regular employee."

Kiara's answer was like knocking the hammer three times in court and sealing Xavier's fate. The man was silent for a moment. There was only a bitter taste left after that.

After Diska was forcibly expelled, she wanted to avenge what Kiara had done. He waited for Kiara to come home from work to make calculations with the woman.

While at the bus stop that happened to be only Kiara herself, Diska immediately approached her.
