I'm Not Your Bridge

I'm Not Your Bridge
Chapter 2

Since the afternoon Nayyara's heart felt unsettled. Her heart was overwhelmed by misgivings, as if something bad had happened to her husband.

A wife's instincts are very strong. They can feel what happened to her husband even though she does not know what really happened.

She repeatedly tried to contact her husband, but his calls always ended up unappointed. Even when she last tried, her husband's phone was off.

"Oh my God, where are you? Why are you so hard to contact?" he muttered with a face full of anxiety.

Nayyara walked back and forth like an iron waiting for her husband's return. But until midnight, her husband had not yet arrived to make Nayyara's heart increasingly restless.

"Why haven't you gone home yet, Mom? What are you doing again?."

Tired of walking Nayyara decided to sit waiting on a chair in the living room. Until then the attack of sleepiness came and unconsciously his eyes were closed because of a long wait.

Not long ago Nayyara closed her eyes, she was already startled by the sound of knocking on the door. He gasped, yawned widely and rubbed the face that was still half sleepy. "What time is it, huh?" the question is to monologue while looking at the collar of the clock on the wall.

The clockwise direction is pointing to the number five. He was also surprised to die. "Oh my God, it's morning."

Back heard the sound of the door on the knock. Nayyara got up and immediately opened the door to find out who was coming.

Czechs.....

Kriet's.....

As soon as the door opened, Aaron's body collapsed instantly on Nayyara because his legs could no longer stand. Sontak Nayyara also held her husband's body so as not to fall to the ground.

"Good God, Aaron! You why?" nayyara asked in surprise. Even more shocked when she saw her husband's entire body filled with wounds and bruises.

Aaron did not answer his wife's question and only said softly asking for help. "Please help me get inside, Nay."

"Good, Mas!" Without much question, Nayyara helped to reach her husband's tall body and sat him on a chair in the living room.

"Wait here for a second, Mom. Let me get you a medicine box and clean water to clean your wounds."

Without waiting for her husband's approval, she drove to the kitchen to pick up a medicine box and a basin filled with clean water to clean her husband's wounds and approached him again.

"Please undress, my dear. Let me clean your body" she said, crouching in front of her husband.

Aaron took off his clothes and let his wife clean his wounds.

Nayyara dipped a clean cloth into the basin she was carrying and began to clean the wound on her husband's body.

"Argk. "erang Aaron was in pain when Nayyara's hand accidentally touched the peeled part of his skin.

Nayyara again cleaned other parts of her husband's body but this time more gently and carefully.

After cleansing the body, he smeared the medicine over the wound and covered it with plaster. "Udah, Mom. Already done. Now tell me, why is your body so scarred? And why are you just coming home now."

"It's okay. There's nothing to worry about" Aaron replied flatly.

"Where am I not worried? You came home in this wound" said Nayyara in a high tone. "You know, I couldn't sleep all night because I was worried about you."

"Here you go, Nay, there's no need to exaggerate. What matters is that I'm home now."

"I don't mean to exaggerate, Mom, it's just. Now tell me, why can't I call your phone?."

"I'm busy, and my phone's dead."

"You must be lying. You've never ignored my calls like this." Nayyara did not believe the reason her husband said because she knew very well the character of her husband. No matter how busy he is, he never ignores his calls.

"Don't I tell you, I'm busy! Why don't you still want to understand?" snapped Aaron hard. His body instantly rose up due to the overflow of emotions.

Nayyara was flabbergasted at the anger of her husband. His mouth was gaping wide, not expecting that Aaron would get angry was just a simple question. And if you recall, this is the first time Aaron has snapped at him. "Well..you yelled at me?" said staggered.

Aaron was aware of the mistake he had made. He immediately dampened his emotions back and immediately apologized to his wife. "I'm sorry, Nay. I didn't mean to yell at you. It's just that my head is a bit dizzy from more problems."

Nayyara lowered her head. "No, Mas. I should have apologized for asking you so many questions. I am not a good wife. You deserve to scold me" she said softly, tears were seen spreading on both eyelids.

Seeing the tears in his wife's eyes, Aaron felt even more guilty. "No, Nay, I was wrong. You asked because you were worried about me, but I yelled at you really hard. Sorry for worrying you. And forgive me for yelling at you too."

Nayyara slammed into her husband's arms. Her tears poured down her husband's chest. "Please don't make a loud noise to me again, Mom. A.. I can't.." he said stammeringly.

Aaron breathed heavily. In his arms the frail body of the wife was tight. Then he stroked the long mane that adorned his head. "I'm sorry! I promise I won't do it again."

For a moment Aaron darkened his eyes and vented anger at his beloved wife. But he was not a rude man. He just did not know what to do to solve all the problems that surround him at this time, and coincidentally at that time Nayyara continued to flock him with various questions.

It all started a few months ago. At that time his business that had just developed had to suffer a lot of losses because there are people who deliberately sabotage the product of his business to make it forced to seek a loan to cover all the losses.

That's when Albert came as a helper god and offered him a loan in a large enough amount. And without thinking, he accepted the offer without knowing what would happen later.

Now he is confused about how to return Albert's money again. Because right now he doesn't have the money to give.

Aaron deliberately hid all the problems that had befallen him from Nayyara. He did not want the woman he married a year ago to be worried.

Aaron breathed heavily. In his heart he said, "I'm sorry, Nay, I had to lie to you like this. But how could I possibly tell you all the trouble that has befallen me. Let alone telling me that I have to hand you over to Mr. Albert as collateral."
