Chapter 5. Not a bad boy

Grandfather Luan was the teacher of Jiangwu. Originally assigned here was Grandpa Luan, but since he had Jiangwu's students, he taught Jiangwu everything including how to take care of this remote place.

"Why is your majesty here?" Jiangwu asked in surprise. This is a place that is rarely known to everyone. Only a few people know about this place. Once you get in there, no one will be able to come back out. But, her and Grandpa Luan were different. They were specially assigned in the basement to take care of the prisoners here. You could say they were dungeon dwellers.

To answer Jiangwu's question was quite difficult. Because her mother said she couldn't tell anyone if Jiafen and her did the punishment. Zhen was a very obedient child. She did not want to make her mother feel disappointed in her. "I was beaten by a bad boy outside. Then I ran away and accidentally found this place." Said Zhen originally making up the story. Don't know if they'll believe his word or not.

"Well, whatever it is let's get out first." Said Grandpa Luan. He and Jiangwu got up from their seats.

So did Zhen who was trying to get up. Fortunately there are those who help him get out of this creepy place. If not, he may be lost forever. To make sure if he doesn't get lost again I have to make a directional sign. Since there was nothing fitting to make a mark, he used his own blood. If it had time Zhen would have made a clearer mark. Soon Zhen made a mark with his blood in several places to head for the exit. Afraid that if Jiafen brought him here again, he could come out through the marks made. Somehow Zhen had a premonition that he would come to this creepy place often.

After getting out of the dungeon, it was already night time. Tonight is a beautiful full moon night.

"Alright, I think we can only drop off here because of some unfinished work. You can go home by yourself, right?" Ask grandpa Luan.

"Yes." Yeah." Answer's short.

Grandfather Luan smiled faintly at Zhen who then left with Jiangwu. Now he's alone. Because it's night he has to go home quickly. 'Maybe from here to my room just a few turns.' Thought Zhen who initially thought his room was close.

But after an hour his room was not found. His current location was even further away from his room. "Next time I have to sign every place." Said Zhen who was tired of walking. But the good news is he found a blue lotus lake. Zhen immediately ran towards the lake, precisely to the gazebo that was there. "I'll just sleep here. I'm just looking for my room tomorrow." Said Zhen while sleeping in the gazebo.

Even though it's cold it's better than no roof.

Cip cip

There was the sound of birds chirping over the pagoda fence made of thick wood. The chirp made Zhen wake up from his sleep. Sunlight shone on her ruby-like red eyeball. He woke up and slightly covered his eyes from being too glare. All the wounds did not hurt anymore, it seemed like the medicine was really effective. 'Thank God, it turns out there are still some good people here.' Zhen thought with a faint smile. Zhen got up from his seat then walked to look for his room.

"Please..help me.." Sounded from a distance the moaning of someone asking for help. That guy sounds really painful.

Zhen searched for the person's whereabouts through the smell of his blood. It didn't take him long to find a man lying wounded near the forest. Because the blue lotus lake and the forest are neighbors so it is likely that the person was injured due to the monsters living in the forest.

The man looked towards Zhen as if asking for help. "You?! Don't just shut up like a fool!? Call.... someone to help me!?" Said the man, extending his hand to ask for help.

Zhen looked at the man full of blood flatly. It felt like something was different in him. 'I remember him, that man once threw me into a lake with the other clan members. Because of him I hate water. Why should I help him? I'd better just kill him. There was no one here either, so it would be great to kill him in this kind of wound-filled state.' Zhen thought with a sly smile.

"Why just shut up? Quickly call for help! Otherwise I'll throw you in that lake again!!" Shouted the man annoyed.

Zhen put on his muddy face as if afraid of the threat the man had given him, "B alright." As the man said, Zhen ran over to look for someone to help the man. His steps were like running, but he was actually walking. When the distance was quite far from the man his mouth muttered, "Kill him!?" Right after that Darkness affected the monsters that were near the forest. The monster began to approach the man and…

"AAGGRR!?" Shouted the man.

Hearing that scream was completely different. Zhen could not help the smile that was about to come out. But if he smiles it's the same as being a bad boy. 'That man didn't die in my hands, he died in the mouth of a monster. I just wanted help like he said. So, I'm still a good boy.' Zhen still put on his frightened little face, but in his heart he was very happy.

After being away from the man, Zhen continued his search for his room. Mu Pei, the fat lady serving Zhen must have put some dry bread on the table. He finally found his room. As expected, there was dry bread on the table. Without a second thought Zhen immediately took the dried bread and ate it. It tastes delicious and unpleasant. But how else, they hide all the good food for themselves. "It's okay, Zhen's a good boy. I can eat anything I'm given." Said Zhen to himself.

While Zhen was still enjoying his meal, some people ran like they were curious about something. He was trying to figure out why they were running around like that. "What's wrong?" Zhen asked one of the servants.

"Surge!?"

"Akhs…"

The waiter pushed Zhen to the point of crashing into a pole.

"Huh, don't get in my way!? I should quickly look towards the lake for what's going on." Said the waiter who then left without an apology spoken from his actions.

'Lake? here there is only one lake and it's a blue lotus lake. And there's the man's body, they're gonna want to see the man's body. It seems like there will be a dispute with the monsters.'
