Chap 20 - How I Met You

Kenzi's POV

I was about 8 years old at the time. I saw a kid my age sitting alone on the playground. Curious, I approached him too.

I sat down beside him and glanced at his face. Her eyes were normal in size, her lips were tiny and peach-colored, her face was thin but her cheeks were translucent, her nose was pointed and the impression I gave her back then was 'beautiful'.

"Hi.." I greeted him. He looked and smiled at me.

"Whose name are you?" My toot.

"Ke... Kevin Safiro, call Kevin." He answered with a sweet smile at me.

"I-" my words were cut off when Kuro pulled my hand.

He took me away from Kevin.

"Ehh... Kuro! Why the hell?" Ask me.

"Hmph! I don't like you hanging out with other people!" He said while puffing his cheeks.

"Ah, but she's her own." I said.

"Sih anyway Kuro doesn't like it! Hmphh!" Kuro.

"Haahhh.." I sighed harshly.

The next day, I saw Kevin in the same place. Whenever I get a chance to get close to him, Kuro always gets in my way.

I honestly don't like Kuro's sifa. Since childhood, he always wanted everyone to obey his words. He's a hobby of bullying others. Although I often scolded him not to do so, he still did.

I was having lunch in the cafeteria with Kuro. Silence, none of us said a word.

Suddenly Kuro said with, "Ken, I'm benzi Kevin. Don't you stick with him?"

"Huh?" I'm trying to digest what Kuro said.

"Please huh? Yea?" Kuro said again.

"But why Ro?" My toot.

"If you look at him, look at him later. I'll make him embarrassed later!" Kuro.

"You mean it anyway?" My toot.

"Hmph, look at it later. If you're still telling Kevin what else he's doing, I guarantee he'll be ashamed of one school!" His words then left me.

I was frozen in place. I obeyed Kuro's words because I was afraid that anything would happen to Kevin. A few days later, Kevin moved to another school. I was shocked to hear that news.

I regretted not knowing Kevin any further. I haven't even introduced myself to her. I regret following Kuro's words. I know how selfish he is.

"I don't want to be friends with you anymore!" I thrived him.

"Huh? Wh why? What's because of Kevin si*lan?" Ask her. It was the first time I heard Kuro say a rude word.

"No, I'm sick of your bad nature!" I said and left him.

After that I never spoke to him again. A year later, I went up to 3rd grade. I heard that Kuro is moving to Japan. I don't care, 'cause we're not best friends anymore.

I've known Kuro since I was 3. I used to love him so much, but now I hate him so much.

1 Year and 2 years passed. I'm up to grade 5 SD. I met Amanda, the transfer student. I was with him because I had no friends.

"Hi!" Sweepings.

"Hello." Answer's short.

"Ekhem. ekhem. Call me Amanda!" He said, extending his hand to me.

"Apriliano Kenzi. Call me Kenzi." Cold answer.

"Oh yes, since you won me. I'm just saying, be careful about me being Fujo's girl." He said while taking out a book from his bag.

"Huh? Fujo?" Ask wonder.

"Ahh~ forget what I said earlier." The answer.

Ever since then Amanda has followed me wherever I go. He became my best friend, even he told me that he really likes stories about same-sex relationships. I was amazed by his hobby. He deserves to be single.

Amanda often asked whether she liked men or not. I used to say, "Of course not!" But now my answer is different when we enter Junior High.

At that time, students and students were gathered in the school field. I was silent about doing nothing, but I saw a figure very similar to the person I was looking for.

"Kevin?" My inner.

I walked up to him and pretended to accidentally hit him.

"Ah, sorry." I said, extending my hand to her.

"Ah, it's okay." Said Kevin. Then she smiled sweetly at me.

Because I was ashamed to leave her.

Classroom divisions have been shared. I got into Class 1A, which means I got into the same class as Amanda. But, I saw Kevin's figure there. How happy I am when I see it.

He sat by the window. I approached and sat down beside him. Fortunately, the door was empty.

"Hi." My greeting to him.

He looked at me. And say, "Hi."

I smiled sweetly at him. I introduced myself to him first.

"Gue Kenzi Apriliano, you?" My toot.

"Kevin Safiro, call me Kevin." The answer.

Suddenly Amanda approached and said, "Gue Amanda Maulida The Fujo Girl!"

Kevin chuckles at Amanda's words. She smiled sweetly.

"Finally we meet again, Kevin.." My inner.
