86. Attacks on Villages (Part 2)

"ZION!!"

Zuka immediately ran to catch Zion's fallen body before touching the ground. Blood flowed from the wound on his stomach in not dripping onto the ground. Quickly Zuka instantly used healing magic and mana to heal the wound.

Zion tries to endure the pain and uses healing magic with the rest of her strength. Really, how many times has he been like this?

"Zion are you okay?" Zuka asked with a worried and panicked look at the same time.

"My fault... It's all my fault. If I were more careful you wouldn't be like this..." Said Zuka who blamed herself.

How not? If only Zuka could dodge or resist the attack, Zion would not need to be injured like this because it had to protect her. Seeing her family hurt like that certainly made her worry and feel guilty.

Zion shook her head weakly. "No, it's not your fault."

"[Dark magic: the spear of darkness]!!" A magic circle was formed in front of Rio. A sharp spear came out from within it. Immediately, Rio took the spear and threw it at the manticore.

The black aura gathered together forming a drill-like circle around the spear which strengthened his attack.

THE DUAR!!

A huge explosion occurred when the attack hit the monster. A cloud of dust and smoke rose high, followed by strong winds created by the attack.

Rio sharpened his eyesight, waiting for the dust to thin out to see how the result of his attack was. But as the dust began to dissipate, the disappointment that appeared upon seeing the monster was not there.

"Where is the manticore? " Tanya Hali while circulating her gaze around looking for the existence of the monster.

Wush!

The sound of flapping wings sounded along with the wind blowing that made dust flying. Hali slightly covered his wit with his hands intending to block the dust from getting into his eyes.

After he felt safe, Hali looked up. He was a little surprised to see a pair of black wings on Ren's back. The young man flew away while carrying the arrow and bow that he would use to attack the monster.

Instantly Hali remembered the training materials that Zion would teach Hero Class and Beast disciples. The compaction of the magic stream formed wings exactly as Yanata had pointed them out.

Hali chuckled a little. There was clearly a difference in magic levels between them. Like his self must practice more often if not want to be left behind.

Meanwhile, Ren draws his bow and directs her at the manticore. When it felt right, he released an arrow which then immediately sprung hundreds of other arrows raining down on the manticore.

The creature tried to fly away dodging, but he came to a halt when he saw Rio who was already blocking before him.

"Wah wow... Where's the scorpion cat going?" Asked Rio who was ready with his boomerang while grinning viciously.

There is no other way, the creature immediately flew dodge, but dear. The result was in vain. The attack followed wherever he went. Until finally he was cornered and inevitably had to accept their attacks.

Wounds of wounds began to form on the body of the manticore that made her growl in pain. His power and magic were already drained a lot. Coupled with the Inimicus race that precisely controlled her made her body weaker.

"Your energy is up..." Hali said in a pretty horrible tone. He raised his hand into the air and a magic circle was formed.

"[Birlight magic: lightning strike]!!"

The precise strike to the monster's body made him roar in pain. All of his magic was exhausted, making him unable to hold on anymore. Plus the electrical power of that thunderbolt made his body crumble.

The lightning strike stopped leaving the monster's shattered body. Hali wiped away the sweat flowing down her cheeks while regulating her breath due to exhaustion.

Meanwhile, Ren and Rio flew down towards Hali and removed their wings. "Done!" Rio cheers while breathing a sigh of relief.

"Not yet, Zion and Zuka are still confined there." Hali said while pointing towards the chain cage.

Rio shifted his gaze. Ah right too, the chain was still trapping them. Now, how do they save Hali and Zion?
