On May 12th of the year two thousand so.
In the back of the house, it appears Joe and Grandpa Tengku Mahmud are running some practice methods.
From the look on the faces of the two men of different ages, it looked so serious.
Grain of sweat now soaked the young man's face. So also with both hands from the elbow patas to the fingers now like blisters.
Indeed, the method of practice this time is about the book of treatment left by Grandfather Malik who was trying to learn by Joe William following the guidance of Tengku Mahmud.
"Ten more times Joe!" The old man said as he looked at the young man's face no longer in pain.
Taking a deep breath, Joe now dipped both hands to the limit of the arm into the boiling water and quickly raised his hand back.
"Uh... It's so hot." Said Joe holding back the sting.
"Again!" Tengku Mahmud's Order.
Clup!
"Argh..."
"Again! You're getting used to it."
Clup!
"Argh..... Rest first the cake. Can maim me later." Joe said with a grin holding back the pain.
Tengku Mahmud just nodded slowly then let Joe rest for a while.
After resting, Joe resumed his training and after the exercise was completed, now they moved to wait for the other stone.
In the stone furnace it appeared to be struck by one large potion with boiling potion water let out a white smoke billowing then soaring in the air.
"Are you ready Joe?" Ask Tengku Mahmud.
"Joe ready Cake."
"Take a deep breath and bring your face to the mouth of the pot!" Tengku Mahmud's Order.
Joe now takes a deep breath, exhales him. Take another deep breath, then exhale it.
For a long time he did so and now he looked down and turned his face right at the mouth of the pot filled with boiling water.
Once his face was above, Tengku Mahmud then enveloped the top of the young man's head until both his head, and the pot was entirely covered by the thick cloth.
Not until five minutes, now Tengku Mahmud uncovers the veil of cloth earlier and at this time all of Joe's face turns red with sweat as big as corn seeds began to seep wet his entire body.
"Sit down for ten minutes. After that, clean your body. I'll prepare the second method." Tengku Mahmud said, then walked away from the young man towards the front yard of the house.
While chewing betel, the old man now brought a kind of jar sized like a five-liter water barrel and placed the jar on the ground.
When Joe finished bathing, he then approached the old man and sat face to face with the jar in the middle of them both.
"Are you ready?" Ask Tengku Mahmud.
Taking a deep breath, Joe nodded.
"Now, put your hand in this jar!" The old man's orders.
"Good Cake." Answer Joe.
Holding his breath, the young man immediately put his hand into the jar.
As soon as his hand was inside, Joe started to feel something biting his hand. But he did not dare to pull his hand.
"What do you feel?" Ask Tengku Mahmud.
"Something bit my finger off the cake."
"It was a venomous animal. I'll check to see where the poison is spreading." Tengku Mahmud said then looked at Joe's hand from the elbow to the shoulder.
"Now, pull your hand back!" The old man's orders.
Joe just obeyed the orders of the old man.
As soon as his hand was pulled, he now saw that the fingers on both hands had bled at each fingertip.
"Until where is the limit of her pain?"
"On this finger alone is the cake." Answer Joe.
"good. This method works.
"Take the pot, cool the water and drink it for three in the morning!" Tengku Mahmud's Order.
"Good Cake." Joe said then without a pedestal, it's good that he moved the potion filled with water decoction of the educating potion and then put it on the ground.
"Then, what else is the cake?" Ask Joe.
"Remember the potion. Later when you meet people who are poisoned or bitten by centipedes, snakes or other venomous animals, you can help them with the boiled water of the potion." Said Tengku Mahmud.
"Good Cake."
*********
After finishing the gojlog by Tengku Mahmud, Joe can only relax a little although now his hands feel like algae near the embers are very hot fire.
If allowed by Tengku Mahmud, Joe might have bought a large amount of ice cubes and then put both hands in ice cubes. But, Tengku Mahmud strictly forbade. This is what makes Joe not dare to do it.
He just walked to the beach and sat there alone. Obviously after asking permission from Tengku Mahmud. Because if you don't get permission first, Joe will definitely get punished. And the lightest punishment was to carry the old man in a drum barrel.
Now that Joe has arrived at the beach, he is back to look back on his life when he was in Mountain Slope.
"How is Grandpa Uyut's house? Whether it has collapsed due to decay or has been torn down by the villagers because the land around it will be used as agricultural land." Joe said in his heart.
It felt right in his heart that he deeply missed the atmosphere of the Mountain Slope.
"Grandfather Malik. Although not much different from Tengku Mahmud's grandfather fierce, but I miss him very much. I also don't know if I'd come back to Starhill, maybe I'd miss Tengku Mahmud's old nagging and anger, too."
"Harvey, Lilian. How are they doing now, huh? They may also have finished school and will continue their studies. Huh. If only I had their cell phone numbers, I would have called my two best friends." Said Joe again.
"Later tonight is my birthday. I never got a word from anyone. He said I was a young master. He said I was the chairman. During my time here, I have received many surprises and honors. Some were even frightened after seeing me. I was surrounded by six guards. But when I wanted to celebrate my birthday, none of them came. It's really my fate." Joe said in his heart as he looked down at the sand by his feet.
Not felt the grains of tears dripping too because however trained outside and inside, he is still an ordinary man, which sometimes requires attention and affection.
Joe now rests his back on a wooden block near the beach. Maybe the wood was dragged by the waves until it reached the beach.
Fatigue during training, fatigue while on a continuous gojlog by Tengku Mahmud, and the worst of which is fatigue in his heart makes Joe fall asleep while leaning.
He had just woken up when one soft hand held onto his shoulder.
While opening his eyes, Joe stared at the seaut face of au nan sweet with a smile that is very charming.
"North." Joe said while correcting his sitting position.
"You fell asleep on this beach Joe? You seem to be sad." Tiara said guessing.
"Ah not really. What makes me sad?" Joe asked back.
"Yes, how do I know. Maybe you miss your hometown." Tiara.
"I'm also confused where my hometown is. Is this Mountain Slope, Starhill or Kuala Nipah." Joe said with a smile.
"Sad you are. When your own hometown is, you don't know."
"Yes right Tiara. It's a strange rada. But what should I do? I was born in Metro City, raised in Mountain Slope, then returned to Starhill but only for three days. Then I went to Kuala Nipah. Which one do you think is my hometown?" Joe William's question made Tiara confused as well.
They are no longer conversing unless they both look towards the sea with their own minds.
