The first day of school always brings mixed feelings, especially for the Son. Standing in front of the gate of Bintang Bangsa High School, a jumbled sense of nervousness and excitement tickled his feelings. Amidst the crowd of students who were just walking towards class, he tried to find his friends.
The son, a smart teenager with a sincere smile, had a relaxed demeanor but had a strong determination. He always tries to be a good listener to anyone who needs him. However, there is something that has never been said, namely his feelings for Nisa, the girl who always laughed cheerfully in the crowd.
Nisa is the sun in the middle of the Son's group of friends. His cheerfulness is contagious, and he has a friendly nature towards anyone. The son always finds comfort in his warm smile. Although his feelings for Nisa were quite deep, he had never dared to express them.
Among his classmates, there was Andi. Energetic youth who have a natural talent in sports and popularity among students. Although the three of them were close friends, Andi was often the center of attention. The son feels Andi has everything, including Nisa's attention.
However, as time passes, the feelings of the Son become harder to ignore. Every time Nisa and Andi were together, jealousy and doubt grew in her. How will the Son deal with this situation? And will this High School filled with the dynamics of friendship and romance take him on an unexpected adventure?
The atmosphere of SMA Bintang Bangsa canteen feels alive and boisterous. The tables were filled with students who were engrossed in talking and laughing. The son sat alone in one corner of the canteen, continuing to stir his fried rice. His eyes sometimes lifted, looking for something.
Suddenly, the cheerful voice he was so familiar with made his heart leap. "Son!" call Nisa with passion from the opposite table. His gaze instantly turned toward the voice, and a spontaneous smile graced his face. He tried to hold back his nervousness and waved at Nisa.
With quick steps, Nisa walked over to the Son's table. Her long hair was beautifully draped, and her eyes shone like the morning sun. "How are you, Son?" asked Nisa while smiling widely.
The son tried to hold back his nervousness that just appeared. He looked towards Nisa with a friendly expression. "Hey, Nisa. I'm doing fine. How's yours?" he answered while trying to maintain his calm countenance.
Nisa sat on an empty chair in front of the Son, and their gazes met naturally. "I'm fine too. Andi just gave me my favorite band concert tickets. You know, she always knew how to make me happy" Nisa said with a smile.
The son tried to smile sincerely, even though his heart ached a little to hear about Andi. "It will definitely be a great experience for you" said the Son in a tone of zeal that sought to be forced.
As they chatted, the nervousness in the Son's chest began to subside. Nisa keeps talking about their exciting plans for the last year of High School. Although there was a mixed feeling in the Son's heart, he was happy to be able to talk to Nisa like this.
As Putra and Nisa were chatting in the cafeteria, suddenly a shadow passed through their table. Andi, with a typical confident attitude, stood beside Nisa. "Nisa, there's something I want to talk about in class. Will you come back with me?" take Andi with a sweet smile.
"I am first!. I went back first to class with Andi," Nisa said kindly as she looked at Putra with an apologetic look.
The son nodded, trying not to show his complicated feelings. "Of course, Nisa. Its alright. I still want to be here" he said with a faint smile.
Nisa smiled and stood up from her chair. "Thank you, Son. We can continue chatting later," he said kindly before turning around and walking with Andi towards the classroom.
The son looked at them leaving with a mixed feeling in his heart. Although she tried to keep pretending to be okay, she felt a little lonely sitting alone in the still noisy canteen.
The cafeteria table where Putra sat became like an island itself in a crowd of students who were engrossed in activity. The son looked down, biting his lips with a hot heart. A deep sense of jealousy and disappointment continued to rage within him. Even so, he felt unable to do anything.
Suddenly, a familiar voice that recognized him well made the Son raise his head slightly. Eric, his best friend who was always present in every situation, stood in front of him with a worried expression. "P, why aren't you?" eric asked with a slight pat on the son's shoulder.
The son just shook his head, too fixated on his own feelings to say the words. His heart was fiery, but he did not know how to deal with everything.
Eric approached the table and sat down in an empty chair near the Son. He tried to cheer with his gentle smile. "Udah, bang, don't get too late in that feeling. Girls aren't just Nisa, are they?" eric said with understanding.
However, the Son remained silent and turned his face away. Eric didn't give up. "Remember, Put, while the yellow janur hasn't curved, there's still time for nikung" said Eric gently, trying to inspire Putra.
The son looked at Eric, his eyes looking for the meaning behind his best friend's words. Finally, he decided to speak. "I don't want to ruin people's relationships" he said in a soft voice.
Eric nodded, understanding what the Son was considering.."Of course, you have good principles. Don't forget to be too hard on yourself. You deserve to be happy too, Put. And believe me, one day you'll find someone right" Eric said wisely
The son pondered for a moment, pondering over Eric's words. He realizes that he must also pay attention to his own feelings, without forgetting his sense of responsibility towards the relationships and feelings of others.
