After arriving home, the atmosphere there is not much different from usual. The son heard the voice of his parents' quarrel that occurred in the living room, but this time he chose not to interfere. She has learned to keep her distance from their family problems and prefers to focus on her relationship with the ever-growing Arshila.
The son went to his room and immediately took his cell phone. He smiled as he looked at the notification message from Arshila on the screen. They have promised to make video calls every day to keep feeling close even though they are separated by distance.
After activating her cell phone camera, Putra called Arshila. Arshila's face appeared on her phone screen, her warm smile immediately greeted her.
"Hey, Put! How was it today?" said Arshila cheerfully.
The son smiled and felt relieved when he saw Arshila's face. "Today is fine. I miss you."
Arshila was also pleased to see the Son. "I miss you too, my son. What about your program? Is there progress?"
Putra described the registration process to the regular scout program and her passion for attending the camp. They talk about their respective plans and support each other in their efforts.
During the video call, the voice of his parents' quarrel was heard vaguely from outside his room, but Putra chose not to discuss it. He wanted to spend quality time with Arshila and felt calm while talking to her.
They laugh, joke, and share stories about their days. Although separated by distance, the video call gives them the closeness and comfort they need to stay strong in their relationship
Son and Arshila are engrossed in their video call. Despite being far away, they felt close to each other.
Arshila smiled and asked, "So, Put, what are your plans tonight?"
The son pondered for a moment, then replied in a light tone, "Hm, I was thinking of spending the night with someone special."
Arshila smiled widely, feeling happy with the Son's gloating. "Oh yeah? Who her? I'm very curious."
The son laughed a little. "She's an amazing girl, beautiful, and always on my mind."
Arshila brought her face closer to the phone screen and said softly, "You know, Put, I feel so lucky to have someone like you in my life."
The two of them continued to talk, pursuing fun and joking topics that made them laugh. The son began to feel more comfortable and more open in talking to Arshila, and he began to feel more confident to give a fistful.
"You know, Arshila," said the Son in a soft voice, "I miss your sweet smile every day."
Arshila smiled widely and retorted, "I also miss your sharp gaze."
The son continued in seriousness, "And when we meet again, I want to steal all your smiles."
Arshila laughed, feeling pleased with the Son's crush. "Oh, really? Well, you've got to try hard to do it, Put."
They both laughed and felt happy in that moment. The video call draws them closer to each other, and despite being separated by distance, their love grows stronger with each passing day.
Time continued, and the night began to dissolve. The son saw that Arshila was getting sleepy. His eyes looked heavy, and he occasionally yawned.
"You look tired, Arshila," said the Son softly.
Arshila shook her head with a gentle smile. "I'm just a little sleepy. But I want to spend as much time as possible with you."
The son smiled understandingly. "Me too, Arshila. But you need to rest. We can talk again tomorrow."
Arshila nodded, her eyes getting heavier. "Alright, Put. Thanks for this fun video call."
The son replied, "Sama-sama, Arshila. Good night and good dreams."
They looked at each other for a moment, then with a warm feeling, they ended their video call. The son looked at Arshila's face that was beginning to fall asleep and lay on her bed. He felt lucky to have someone like Arshila in his life.
After closing the video call, Putra smiled as she rubbed her eyes slowly. Although a breakup in a video call always makes her feel sad, she knows that their love will always bring them back together. He wished Arshila a good sleep and a good dream, while he himself thought about the bright future they would share together.
