Kemomong Village

Kemomong Village
The 17-year Ritual Plan

The sound of ambulance cars began to sound from a distance, they were all waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

After the ambulance arrived Danu, Surya and his co-workers helped the victims into the ambulance as well as Anwar who was hit by a large tree branch in his leg causing Anwar's right leg to break.

All the victims who died and were seriously injured entered the ambulance.

Ambulance was started on the run they were all brought to the puskesmas in the village Kemomong.

30 Minutes later the ambulance arrived at the puskesmas, Anwar was immediately given help by the puskesmas officer.

After Anwar was treated, he tried to call Mr. Rehan to tell him the news of the duku back.

“Hallo Pak Rehan.”

“Iya Anwar! What's up?”

“Begini sir, like I can not continue this palm oil mill construction project. Like I'm going to cancel the palm oil mill project owned by Mr Rehan!” Anwar confirmed.

“Why can we cancel our agreement how!” rehan said on the phone angrily.

“I will refund all DP money I received from Mr!”

“Can't be like this Anwar, you can't take your hands off. If you want to cancel all this you have to find another worker to continue the project,” said the pious Rehan sir.

“Begini sir, many of my workers have been victims of the construction of this factory. From yesterday until now many have died pack six of my workers who died due to the construction of this factory, and including me sir who almost.” Anwar explained in the phone.

“ Anyway I don't want to know, you have signed a contract agreement, even if you return all the money but I ask for your responsibility to find another worker do not play off my responsibilities.”

“Good sir I worked on in a week, I will find his bride. And in this week I asked for the policy that my father and my team could not continue this development project, just now when one of the workers was cutting a big tree it fell into our place, sir. Five of them died and my leg was broken sir,” Anwar who tried to explain.

“Alright then Anwar, I will give you a week to find a bride, I have spent a lot to build the factory that did not finish.”

“Good sir thanks for the compensation of Mr. Rehan,” said Anwar hang up sir Rehan.

Anwar also called other workers who still work there, that tomorrow they do not work again. Because Anwar himself suffered a severe injury it took him to heal his broken leg.

Sadness is seen from the look on the faces of other workers, seeing their friends who were victims not to mention they had to stop because Anwar could no longer run this palm oil mill project.

The next day all the workers were getting ready to return to their homes in addition to the bodies that would be returned to their families.

The construction of the factory became abandoned again until this moment no one had succeeded in building the palm oil mill project.

The news of the work accident and the departure of the workers was heard to the ears of Pak Kuncoro.

Mr. Kuncoro is the village head in Kemomong village, he has 2 very beautiful girls named Sekar Ningrum, and Ningsih Kencana.

Sekar has a soft personality, quiet, generous, diligent, best viewed with his brother Ningsih who has a stubborn, envious, selfish and lazy personality.

The two Kuncoro girls have their respective roles when their mother has died while giving birth to Sekar.

That afternoon Kuncoro and other villagers were chatting in the courtyard of Kuncoro's house about the project workers and the ritual plans of girls and virgins who turned 17 years old

Ningsih came out of her room.

“What's the matter Sir?” ningsih who was disturbed.

“Please make Nduk coffee?” puncoro Pinta.

“Bapak can ask for help with Sekar Pak, Ningsih still ngatuk Pak, want to continue sleeping again,” said Ningsih who left Kuncoro.

Kuncoro just shook his head to see his son's behavior.

Ningsih also came to Sekar who was cooking lunch for them.

“Eh Sekar, also make the father of coffee I want to continue to sleep, disrupt it anyways father is a great hobby to chat with the village people!” said Ningsih who was upset to go to the room continued her sleep again.

“But Mbak Ning, I have not finished cooking,” Sekar said.

“Alah. Just stay in the first will not run away also that's food! Cepetan make coffee there!” Ningsih passed away leaving Sekar.

After snorting, he stood up and made coffee and drove it to the terrace of the house, when he delivered coffee he accidentally heard the talk of Kuncoro and the residents.

“There have been many victims in that place!” said one citizen.

“True. In fact last there were four people who died at once.”

“They don't want to follow the custom of our village's beliefs. Until whenever the project will not be completed,” said Kuncoro.

“This is Pak Kopinya,” said Sekar.

“Thank you for coffee,” said one of the men.

He curled his head while smiling at the middle-aged man politely.

“Pak did someone die?” ask Sekar to Kuncoro.

“Iya. You have entered!”

“Bapak. Sekar also wanted to know,” Sekar walked into the kitchen.

“In two weeks we will hold a ritual for the daughter of Mr. Agus, the son of Mr. Amir and Mr. Minto who will soon grow up 17 years.”

Hearing that Sekar remembered the ritual when he entered 17 years old, he looked at the finger of his left hand and shuddered in horror. He returned to the kitchen to continue his cooking.

Until the dish is ready, Sekar calls Ningsih and Kuncoro for lunch.

“Mbak? Mbak Ningsih let's eat!” call out loud in a loud tone

“Pak let's eat first.”

The three of them also sat together at the dining table to eat the dishes that had been cooked by Sekar
