"You're only half Emirati!"
"Your mother has taken away my father's love for my mother! Isn't that a cruel act?!"
Mundika took off the black abaya and rose gold-colored flat shoes in line with the sheer length of foot dress patterned with small flowers that she wore. His bare footsteps began to walk to the lips of Kite Beach to greet the sea water froths. The sea breeze banged sepoi stroked her cheeks that blushed reddish in the sun that began to lean towards the West.
"Sir, forgive your mother's decision that has made you an unacknowledged child of her brothers.., this is all the destiny that I have to live..."
Slowly his footsteps began to enter the rolling sea as if pulling himself up to continue walking forward towards the middle.
"Sister Majid, why do Brother Maitha and Kak Haya hate me? Though I am also their sister..., whereas I respect and love them.., will Brother Majid also hate me like them?"
After making sure the water was chest-high, Mundika closed her eyes and let her body slowly swallow the water. It feels so peaceful and calm. Fatigue and tightness in the chest as if lifted and surrounded by wide ocean. His body was getting drowning. Sayup-sayup he heard the sound of someone who ran fast into the water to make a splashing sound but he did not care. All he needed was a sense of surrender to enjoy the sea water that gently caressed him.
"Baba, why are you doing all this to me? Why do you position me as the result of ruining someone else's household? Why did you make my mother the second woman of your life? If it's love, Baba shouldn't be double.”.
“If I could choose, I would rather be born into a simple but happy family than to have possessions and titles but not be happy to be stamped as a child not loved by his brothers!"
"Based on a stupid girl! You intend to kill yourself huh?!" The screams of a man pulling Mundika's body from the sea shocked her.
"Eh?!" Mundika is still trying to digest with the situation he is currently facing. He was in the arms of an unknown man who broke him in a hurry to get out of the sea. After arriving at the beach, with a little annoyed the man sat Mundika in one of the seats available there and then lectured him all out.
"What is on your mind that you decided to commit suicide?! You are truly ungrateful for the life given by the Almighty! Though out there there are still many people who struggle to live despite being hit by war. Plus you're taking location on this beach again?! It's lucky I saw you start to sink, otherwise the news of your death will appear in the newspaper's headline column tomorrow!" The man ruffled his waist and leaned his body in front of Mundika.
Mundika who had regained consciousness felt like a child was scolded by her parents for having done wrong. Just know this man no, why could he be lectured like this?!
"Si...who would commit suicide anyway?!" Reply Mundika did not lose ketus. "I just want to take a bath to calm down! Crazyhead!" He stood up from his seat and pushed the man's body away because he felt uncomfortable with the intimidating look of the man and then walked towards the place where he put his abaya and shoes.
Hearing the words of the parents made Mundika who was busy cleaning her things suddenly silent for a moment without looking at the man. However, he respected both.
"Why silence?" Ask the guy. "You've admitted wrong now, haven't you? So now apologize for making people worry about you!"
"Who told you to care for me!" A hard drive to the man's left foot made him scream loudly and was Mundika's chance to escape from the place because he was lazy to deal with him.
"AWW!" Shouted the man. "Be careful if you meet again!"
"Not to see you again!" Replied Mundika who turned her head for a moment back responding to a slightly threatening pitched cry. "The UAE is vast sir! Weee!" He stuck out his tongue as if mocking while running fast then entered his car until his figure disappeared from view.
"Basic..," The man squashed his teeth while rubbing his feet trying to hold back the anger and pain in his feet that the unknown girl stepped on. Only this time he met people who did not respect him, women too.
"How are you doing Mansoor?" The pat on the shoulder of the man who was apparently named Mansoor diverted the owner of the name. "I'm surprised you suddenly left me when we were exercising and ran in a hurry to the beach until it got soaked like this..."
"Sir Ahmed" Mansoor sighed and replied, "It seems like I was being unlucky, as I was trying to help someone who was about to commit suicide and was being bullied and stomped on the foot. Just watch if you see me again!" Fiery next.
"Hahahaha.." Ahmed laughed seeing his notoriously cold sister could be as emotional as this. "Do you know that girl?"
"No," Mansoor shook his head.
"Here you go, forget about today, let's just say you're being unlucky. You better clean yourself up at the Burj Al-arab Hotel."
"Alright..," Mansoor relented and followed his brother's advice. In his heart somehow he felt his affairs with the girl were not finished. And it looks like it's going to be troublesome...
