"Kyai, will I be able to be like Kyai?"
A little boy about seven years old very innocently asked one of the highest leaders of a boarding school that happened to be after preaching in his area.
"Of course, as long as you want to learn the right teachings, you will be the right people."
Sang Kyai explained to his little guest what to do if he wanted to be what the little boy was asking. The child was silent to listen to the answers of people he saw so authoritative, soothing and charismatic, whether he understood or not with all that Kyai said or not, but clearly in his heart began to grow a simple ideal but full of meaning for his future.
"What's your name, son?"
Kyai bowed her head to the boy, so that he would not listen wrongly to what the boy said.
"My name is Khaidir Kyai."
With a smile, Khaidir mentioned his name, he was happy even though Kyai was just asking him a name, but something happened next to make him fall silent again.
"This, for you."
Kyai was giving a white turban that he wore at the da'wah event in the khaidir area, Kyai did not have the heart to see Khaidir who came to see him just by wearing dull pants that he thought might have been less worthy to wear, Kyai that slammed the turban on a small body that was cold that night swept by the night wind. The smile that had been lost on Khaidir's face, has now returned and showed the imperfect teeth, he has not had time to say thank you, now he must receive something more from the Kyai, he said, but this time he had to take care of what Kyai was giving.
"Here, take care of this!" kyai said while draping a prayer beads that he always carried wherever he went, which always accompanied him in shia'ar dakwah and also in worship.
"Yes Kyai, I will keep it from being damaged."
The Kyai smiled at Khaidir's innocent reply, but denied what the boy had said.
"It's not like it's guarding him, it's from here."
Kyai was holding onto Khaidir's chest, making the boy confused by what Kyai meant, aware of Khaidir's incomprehension, Kyai again explained the meaning of his speech earlier.
"You must be firm in your faith, practice what is the duty of your religion, never hesitate to ask the all-knowing Dzat when you are in trouble, never leave your brother when they are lost and clear your heart of any doubt about Your Creator."
Kyai's advice is always ringing in the mind of Khaidir until it becomes a belief for him to seek knowledge for a better future.
"Where have you been?"
The voice of someone near the door of the house surprised him, Khaidir shuffled, but not because he was afraid of the formless voice behind the darkness, but he was already very familiar with that voice, he was only worried that the person was scolding him because he went alone without saying goodbye to the person at home.
"So out of kang's studies."
Khaidir gave a reason for the man not to scold him, but Khaidir mistakenly thought, because the reason just now actually made him so very angry to know the reason why Khaidir went alone to leave the house without saying goodbye to him.
"You, don't go to a place like that anymore, it's useless, you better help our legs eat for us."
Unstoppable emotions are released by brother Khaidir, because he thinks religion will not help him escape the difficulties of life they both live.
Khaidir and his older brother Usman just live alone without parents, after two years ago their mother died due to illness, and there is no cost to treat it, let alone to seek treatment or just give medicine, even for just eating at that time they were very difficult, until finally their mother had to go first to face the almighty, Khaidir's brother five years older than him, for this reason he is responsible for the life of the next khaidir, the only brother he cares about.
But fate says otherwise, life leads them to their own beliefs, Khaidir always believes what he believes, the advice of Kyai he met never once he forgot even until Khaidir studied at a boarding school, until finally making them live their lives.
After so long, one sentence of Kyai's advice always bothered his mind.
"Never leave your brother."
Khaidir realized, he had been separated from his own brother who is currently not aware of the condition and its existence, for that he decided to look for the existence of his brother, who is, hoping to find him in good shape or if not, maybe he could bring him back home.
Khaidir accompanied by some of his disciples had to search for a very long time, he said, where then they had to stop at an area that heard from the area that there was a group of people who embraced the cult, his heart was moved to help with the exclusion of the purpose to find his brother, who was, but what he got was something unexpected. After investigating the events at the site, Khaidir finds information that the leader of the sect is Usman, his own brother, the man he had been searching for for years.
Getir was felt by Khaidir, not expecting that everything became complicated, and it seemed like bringing his brother home would not be as easy as imagined.
Khaidir and some of his disciples settled at the foot of the mountain to supervise the movement of the heretical group, while broadcasting the teachings of religion in a closed way, considering the area he lived in was so left behind and was in the middle of the wilderness, but the place was in his favor, because they were unaware of the existence of Khaidir and his disciples who had been watching them all along.
After a long time of watching, there is no meaningful activity of the heretical group other than just regular meetings that are routinely done, but after a long time finally they start moving, they start to move, one of Khaidir's students disguised themselves to watch, saw that there had been a meeting of some young people who were about to go hiking with his older brother, and it seemed that now was the time for them to make a move.
"The time has finally come to finish everything and take you home."
