Legend of King Cultivator
Chapters. 025: Explanation of Dao

Yong Shu and Xiao Chen entered the forest, the two of them arrived in front of a Cave not long after entering the forest.

"Until the next few years, we'll both be living here. So, I hope you can get used to it..." Said Yong Shu in a calm voice.

"Good, Teacher."

The dark atmosphere occurred when the two of them entered the Cave, yet it did not last long after Yong Shu turned on the candle that was already attached to the cave wall with just a snap of a finger.

"Well, are you a user of the fire element?" Xiao Chen asked.

Yong Shu nodded, "Yes, besides the fire element I also mastered the earth element." He replied then adding, "Despite that, I am not very skilled with the earth element because all my life, I have always focused on developing the Dao of The Flame.

Xiao Chen clucked in amazement at hearing that, "Guru by the way, can you explain about 'Dao' to me? My knowledge of it is still a little." Pinta Xiao Chen with a hopeful tone.

Yong Shu slightly raised his eyebrows, "Indeed how far do you know about Dao?"

Xiao Chen stroked his chin and was silent for a while, "Dao of The Death, Dao of The Heaven and Dao of The Sword. I only knew the three Dao from an old book I accidentally found on a mountain."

"Oh... The three Dao were fairly common. I mean, in the higher world those three Dao are already knowledge beyond the brain." Said Yong Shu then explained the meaning of Dao to his disciple.

Dao is a way of life. Cultivators usually only studied the Dao of no more than three, because developing one Dao alone was already extremely difficult.

Dao also has a level, the deeper your knowledge of Dao the higher your Dao level. The point is, you will get stronger if your Dao level gets higher.

For example, Yong Shu studied the Dao of the Sword and had already reached level 2, meaning that his knowledge of the Dao of the sword was already deep enough. He could create a sword made of Spiritual Energy and bring out a stance that could destroy a Mountain.

Xiao Chen held his chin as one would think, "So that's it... Does that mean that the Sword Science I learned in my previous life was already at Level 2 if it was in Dao calculations?" Inner Xiao Chen wondered.

Because, Xiao Chen used to be able to create a sword using Spiritual Energy and make it float behind his back, not just one sword but numbering in the hundreds.

"Teacher, if there is a cultivator who knows nothing about the Dao and he is very strong even his knowledge of the sword is higher than yours. Why hasn't the person been transferred to a higher world?"

Yong Shu stroked his chin, "Hmm... Usually this case occurs in the World level 10 and 9. I don't know for sure, but they'll be dubbed the 'Immortal Collapse' that will never ascend to a higher World because it doesn't meet the requirements."

Xiao Chen nodded in understanding, "Oh yes Master, I have something to say..." He said then chimed in, "In the next three years the Eight Fires sect is holding a major tournament, I intend to follow him because I want to hone my skills. So, I want us to stop training in two more years..."

Yong Shu was silent for a while when he heard it, "Why do you have to stop for two more years? Isn't it still a year before the tournament's registration opens?"

"I need a connection to take part in that tournament, Master. Because, I am still 13 years old while the requirements of the tournament are required for cultivators 17 years and above." Xiao Chen replied quickly.

Yong Shu nodded in understanding, "Then you don't have to worry, I have connections in some big sects. I'll make sure you can get into the sect without doing any exams in general."

"I mean Teacher?" Xiao Chen was certainly confused by his master's statement.

Yong Shu smiled faintly, "Just sleep, you'll find out later..."

Xiao Chen did not continue the conversation any further, he then looked for a suitable place to cultivate.

Xiao Chen scratched the back of his non-itchy head, "Lately I used my bedtime to cultivate master. Even so, tomorrow I never feel exhausted while doing activities."

Yong Shu was stunned to hear that, using his bedtime to cultivate was indeed more efficient, but it was usually difficult for a child of Xiao Chen's age to do so, because they have to maintain their consciousness even though a little in a closed eye state.

"Chen'er, he's talented..." Yong Shu could only clack in constant admiration.

Xiao Chen who saw his teacher silently slightly raised one eyebrow, "Is there something wrong, Master?"

Yong Shu woke up from his daydream, he shook his head and said, "Nothing and do as you please, the important thing is that you don't get any less excited on the sidelines of your training going forward."

"Good teacher, I'll remember it." Xiao Chen started cultivating using Dragon Breathing after saying so.

.....

The next day, Xiao Chen slowly opened his eyes. The night had passed and the sun had appeared again.

"I'm going up to seven stars soon, this is faster than I expected. Is this because of the benefits of apple water?" Inner Xiao Chen wondered.

Xiao Chen rose to his feet and circulated his gaze, he did not discover the whereabouts of his teacher inside the Cave.

"Where's teacher?" Xiao Chen muttered then walked towards the cave door.

When he came out of the cave, Xiao Chen found Yong Shu carrying a large deer on his shoulder, "Ah... Did the teacher just finish hunting?"

Yong Shu nodded, "Let's go in, we eat this deer first before starting the practice." He said as he passed by Xiao Chen and entered the Cave.

Xiao Chen did not say anything and followed his teacher into the Cave.

Yong Shu himself placed the corpse of a deer on a not-so-big rock, he turned to Xiao Chen and said, "Please clean him up, I'll light a fire." His ink and was taken in by the little boy dressed in dark blue.

Xiao Chen instantly cleaned the corpse of the deer in front of him, and finished it in just a few minutes.

"Oh, that's fast. Are you used to cleaning up dead animals, Chen'er?" Yong Shu asked curiously.

"Yes, you could say that..." Xiao Chen waved his hand to the side and brought up a sizable raw meat, "This is my seasoned hunted meat, Master. You better burn this meat before it breaks."

Yong Shu was quite surprised to see him, "Alright. We're gonna burn that meat..." He replied then stored the corpse of the deer that Xiao Chen had just cleaned.

Without saying much more, Yong Shu immediately burned the raw meat coated by the aluminum paper. Once ripe, the two of them ate it voraciously until it ran out.

After Yong Shu and Xiao Chen finished eating the meat, the two of them took a short rest before exiting the Cave.
