Look at Me, Elle

Look at Me, Elle
Chapter 4 Jealousy

"What do you mean, Nath?!" exclaim Alice.

"I will give up everything I have for you, completely. I'm not sure he'll forgive me."

Alice who had been shocked from that moment couldn't hold her mouth open wide. He even hit Leonathan's left arm to wake him up from his nightmares. The man's brain is no longer functioning as it was.

"What are you talking about?!" he shouted while patting the left cheek, very slowly because the slap from Naomi imprinted there. "Conscious!" he added again by holding full emphasis on the shoulder of the man who was driving. The vehicle is stable, relaxed, and runs very quietly.

Although his heart situation was like a messy house, Leonathan tried to focus on driving. He would not take Alice to die with him. Therefore, Leonathan chose to be quiet and pay attention to the asphalt road that many vehicles pass like tonight.

His mind had only focused on one name since these past few days, and the news just now received was extremely painful to hear. Can God give Brielle back for her?

"I don't like seeing my best friend like this! Go back, Nath! Don't be quiet like this!" Alice who was tired of facing Leonathan's strange attitude was increasingly confused by the man's expression that was like an undead, terrible. "Not usually you're this crazy, talk!"

Instead of looking at a glance or giving a reply in the form of a short speech again, Leonathan chose to remain silent with a straight look to the road. The man tried to close his ears, there was no intention to reply to Alice's noisy mouth. "You're freaking me out!"

In fact, Leonathan remained silent. Until finally, the man dropped Alice in his second subscription La Favela club. "Come down, have fun."

"Promise me, let me know about you every hour!" Leonathan just nodded small, certainly not by looking at Alice. "Don't do anything, Nathan! I don't want to lose a good friend like you, you know .. You're the only one who cares and I've considered my own brother, don't go or choose bun—"

"Your ex is waiting, come in. I listened to your orders, "cut off Leonathan who was able to make Alice breathe a sigh of relief. Still reluctant to see Alice, Leonathan stared at her windshield. "I'm home" he added who immediately drove the car, gas tank as before. Letting Alice who was still standing in front of La Favela wave at him. "If you hadn't begged like that, I might have hit dozens of vehicles unconscious and I'd make sure my body was gone."

Gripping the steering wheel, his brain must be made to remain conscious even though the blue eyes were already hot. A few seconds later, a pair of blue eyes that had never runny before, now released the rare liquid. Just because of one name, Leonathan was willing to take him out of hiding. Is this how bad he is to not get a holy girl like Brielle who he has smeared? He wanted to take responsibility, but why did fate make him lose the woman? Was his fondness for dozens of women a big mistake? Or is this the karma he has to get?

"Brielle wasn't wrong, I was the one who took away her future. I'm the one who ruined her pride and everything she's been protecting!" Letting his tears down, Leonathan stopped the 1 billion-plus car in front of the black fence of his house. "Let me see you one more time, apologize, and take responsibility. I want you, Elle."

That night, Leonathan chose to walk around after crying for more than fifteen minutes. The man returned to the streets using his black BMW Z4 without rest. Just fill up the gas and continue to tour the Badung area overnight. Until morning arrived, exactly at seven o'clock Leonathan had returned home and chose to take a bath. Instead of breakfast, he approached the refrigerator, taking a bottle of Cold Brew coffee that is safe for people with stomach acid. Moreover, Leonathan has not had breakfast, on purpose, because he does not have appetite if he has not found Brielle.

"I swear, if one day I can find you, I'll marry you, Elle. You are the first and last, no one can have you but me. I hope God hears my vow" he murmured before falling asleep on the floor. His body was face down on the ceramic with his right hand still holding a bottle of coffee, half a bottle left and perfectly closed even though the man had been attacked by drowsiness.

Alice who only received Leonathan's message at night became confused after one afternoon also never got news from the man. He decided to go to the Mixture Cafe led by Leonathan. Tried to check on his best friend there, and it turned out that after meeting an employee and asking, "where is Leonathan? Is he in his room?" the employee shook his head.

"Master didn't leave. He's not leaving because he's looking for someone, he also told me to remind Miss Alice to focus on work. Stop messing around in the cafe." Searching for the apron bag attached to the front of the body, the barista pulled out the phone and showed the contents of the message from the boss. "Let's see if Miss Alice doesn't believe me."

"All right, I get it. Give her my regards, and remind her to return my message. I'm back at the cafe."

"Working spirit, Miss Alice!"

Alice simply nodded and waved her hand before swinging her legs, moving away from the cafe and returning to its origin with a slightly calmer and relieved feeling. At least he knew Leonathan was okay and still encouraged him to work. "Seeing from the time when sending a message, it seems Leonathan is really looking to focus on finding his poem." Yes, Alice had seen the clock on the barista screen when she received a message from Leonathan, still at seven in the morning. It's very likely that Leonathan is looking for the woman. "If she can't find it, Naomi will hate me. Indirectly I'm guilty."

For more than a week, Alice had only gotten a message from Leonathan. He didn't even get the latest news about Brielle. Alice who is busy taking care of the cafe can only provide support to Leonathan via mobile phone only. Until the time passed, more than three weeks and almost a month he also only contacted Leonathan by phone or send a short message. For more than two months, they rarely exchanged news. Alice, who was worried about her best friend's condition, decided to look at Leonathan at home after returning home from the cafe, hoping that he would be home.

Indeed, Leonathan is home. Almost two full months he searched for Elle throughout Bali, even Leonathan willing two days not to sleep at all just to circle Bali. Leonathan sleeps in his BMW Z4 to find the woman. Even he also visited the beaches that felt Elle could be there. He also hopes to accidentally meet the sweet woman. If he was destined to meet Elle on one of the beaches in Bali, wouldn't it taste sweet? His struggle to find Elle will pay off. Unfortunately, it was all just a dream. Until the month passed, he still could not find Brielle.

"Your house is unlocked, Nath!" Being in the middle room of his best friend who was lying on the sofa with his legs raised, closed his eyes fixedly. Alice who felt ignored then pulled one of the heavy legs and muscular as strong as possible using two hands until Leonathan really woke up and wanted to glance at him. "Do you want to leave this world?! You really want to end your life in vain?!" spray Alice as soon as the blue bead looks right at her piercingly sharp eyes. Leonathan looked pitiful with eyes that looked like a sleep-deprived person. "If you love her, it's impossible to give up and leave the person you love alone out there!"

"Stop advising me" Leonathan briefly before shutting back his pair of eyes.

"Are you a man or a woman?! Go after him and find him until he gets it! Instead of giving up and shutting yourself up like a person who has no purpose in life."

"I have no purpose in life."

Women who have not had time to go home, still wear black jeans and uniform cafe Mixture matching colors. Looking towards Leonathan who still chose to close his eyes, ignoring him, Alice inhaled and exhaled so long.

Leonathan himself did not want to think about and dizzying the presence of Alice in his house. Already do not want and desire in taking care of himself, cafe, or his life ahead. The man's brain seems to stop in place, not wanting to spin and trying to find a way out in the search for love.

Thought's dead-end. Now one hand is stored behind the head, while the other hand is stroking the base of the nose. Occasionally give a massage on the forehead so that the tangled threads there can be straight, and able to issue a little idea. How he found Brielle.

"Rise up, Nath."

"That's been three months there's no sign at all. His nose is invisible."

"There's still plenty of time, Nath. Even though you're tired, I know .. Your struggle will one day pay off. If you want to get big results, shouldn't your efforts be much bigger?"

"I haven't stopped wishing on God." A small laugh suddenly shot out of Leonathan's mouth. "In my deepest heart asks and continues to ask humbly for Him to allow me to meet Elle. But it hasn't been granted until these three months."

"You gotta try, Nath! Never stop and give up. Where is Leonathan who is always persistent in his work? You're giving up on one woman?" Alice chuckled as she stopped the movement of her finger that kept pressing Leonathan's left foot. "It's a shame if the king of overtime gives up on a woman."

"I'm not as silent as a statue." Staring at Alice in front of his eyes, and sitting sideways, Leonathan said again, "Always look here and there to get forgiveness from her. But the result I got was just disappointment. Elle I haven't found yet. Then, what should I do again?"

Alice threw away the carbon dioxide while staring at the ceiling in the living room where she watched television and relaxed with her brain not stopping running to look for possibilities regarding Brielle's presence in Bali. "Maybe he's hiding." Alice pulled the corner of her lips and patted one of Leonathan's legs then chanted, "there's no way she's doing anything harmful to herself!"

"Why do you believe that?"

"I know he is an independent person, diligent, and enterprising at work." Leonathan, who initially refused to listen to Alice's chatter, immediately changed the position that was originally sleeping to sit cross-legged, straight facing the friend. Receiving Leonathan's hand pointing his body towards Leonathan, Alice resumed her words, "Brielle is known as a woman who does not give up and never think about the opinions of others about her or anything that happened to her. One of your employees told me all this, so rest assured! Your first love must be in hiding or it might be working elsewhere."

Leonathan nodded though not too excited. There is something strange about Alice's explanation. His brain was still trying to spin around looking for that awkwardness. As soon as possible, Leonathan no longer grasps both shoulders Alice. The man leaned back on the body of the sofa and again closed his eyes with a long sigh. "It should be that if she doesn't think about the other person's judgment of her, Elle doesn't come out of the cafe" her line of words that could make Alice nudged.

"You're right too."

Leonthan said with a flat expression, "just go home. I don't want to be disturbed. Your time here is enough." Sounds like a shoo in Alice's ear.

"I'm not a bully! I'm your best friend, Nath!" alice's protest instantly gained a look of horror from Leonathan. "O-okay. Okay, I'm going home even if I don't like you forcing me like this, Nath. But promise me, don't do crazy things. I don't want anything bad to happen to you, Nath. Remember, you've got to get an apology from Elle!"

"Go home! You suddenly deaf or stupid?!"

Alice who got a sharp snatch and a sharp shot stood up. "Na-Nath?" call him in a voice that shakes like one is surprised, scared, and sounds like crying.

"I just want to think, understand!" Alice tried to hold back the sadness and tears that wanted to come down. "You better take a break so that tomorrow can work." Without even looking at Alice, she lay back on the sofa. "I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, but Elle's departure breaks my heart."

"You really love her, Nath?" tanya Alice stroked her chest and right hand almost reached Leonathan's hair, but stopped because Leonathan looked up and looked at him closely.

"I'm really not ready to lose it." Recalling Brielle's sweet face, Leonathan clenched his hand tightly. He misses Brielle, not just touch, but the feeling that comes with a woman is what she misses so much. "The feeling of wanting to take care of Elle is greater than taking care of you, a friend who once rejected my feelings and only made me a place for stories." Leonathan smiled softly at a glance, Alice could catch him even though it was really very short. "I'd go crazy if I didn't find her, the woman who makes me happy looks into her eyes and fears losing her."

Alice nodded in understanding, then lifted her foot from the chamber. Walking at a faster pace so that he could cry as much as possible in front of Leonathan's house. While the man who lay on the sofa immediately took out Brielle's identity card which was always stored in the bag of pants that he was wearing. Looking at the photo of Brielle in the ID card, staring, grasping tightly, then stroking it long enough before landing her kiss there. Twenty-year-old woman is great. "You're too good, Elle. You can make me feel love and can make my chest pound just from looking at your shady eyes. Where are you now? I miss you, Elle."

While in front of the black fence of Leonathan's house, Alice couldn't stop her tears from descending to her cheeks and coming out in both shades, so profusely. "Have those feelings of love vanished, Nath? Why do I not like hearing your confession? Are you gonna change and there's not gonna be any more for me, Nath?"

To be honest, he was deeply saddened to hear of Leonathan's claim to be more afraid of losing Brielle than he was. Trying to wipe her tears and calm her heart, Alice pulled out her phone from the sling bag and immediately called a taxi to pick her up and drive her home as soon as possible because she had to go to La Favela to restore the mood.
