Chapter 9 Abigail

"There's no way you're doing that."

The brother sat on the chair with his hands and picked up the apple from Leonathan's peel. Putting a piece of the apple into her mouth by receiving her brother's sharp gaze. The man who was still busy peeling the red-flavored fruit still kept his mouth shut and was reluctant to discuss Brielle in front of Leonardo, while the sister chewed with a pushy gaze.

"Come, just tell me. You know for yourself, we're just living together, Nath. You have to share your feelings with me, if I can help you, you're relieved."

"Oh, just shut up. I gave it all up too. You must understand me too, so do whatever you think is right without knowing my love. I don't like it when people interfere."

"Don't interfere, I just want to help you. Aren't we brothers? As brothers it's appropriate that we share, Nath."

Leonathan, who no longer cuts apples, grabs peanut butter. Pour two tablespoons of jam into a small bowl that contains several pieces of sweet fresh fruit. Taking a deep breath, he directed his gaze again at Leonardo who was faithfully watching him.

"You and I aren't kids anymore, Nard. You better focus on your love, don't think of me. You and I both know very well that we are adults. It's only natural that I take care of my own life without your intervention even if we're siblings" he said at length before biting off a piece of apple that had been covered in peanut butter.

Eat it with your feet straight, standing up, but your waist rests on the kitchen set. Leonathan slightly recalled Alice's annoyed face. "And one more thing, why would Alice tell you about my woman if she was jealous of her herself?"

"Alice asked me to keep you away from that woman."

"Then? You yourself are inversely proportional. As if supporting me in this, not siding with him."

"Indeed I don't want to grant your cunning friend's request." Leonathan chuckled as the sly word echoed, sourced from the mouth of the sister who was staring at him confused. "Why are you laughing?"

Leonathan with the rest of his laughter swallowed the chews first before replying, "Alice is not cunning. He's just not happy to see me busy looking for my woman, that's just his stupid nature. You know, she couldn't have done anything crazy to keep me away from my woman, Alice was just afraid I'd change."

"You're sure he won't act crazy?"

"I'm sure he won't do anything other than harass me. I know him, Nard."

"Good, then I can return to my home quietly." Leonardo drank cold water before he grabbed a cigarette and lit it with an electric match on the table. "By the way about women, I can't wait to introduce you to my lover, Nath."

"Bring before me when you ask for my blessing." Leonardo nodded and laughed, before his left hand pointed the cigarette butt at his lips. "If you can't be serious yet, just hold it."

"Sounds like that make you look like a nice guy, Nath."

Instead of being offended, Leonathan agreed. Along with the billowing cigarette smoke, Leonathan walked cepta toward his sister and ended up sitting in front of her after slashing at the dining chair. Seeing his brother who suddenly looked seriously and laughed, Leonardo deepened his cigarette smoking.

"What's up now? Why are you changing so seriously?"

"I only think about the fate of Alice and her child. If I manage to find my woman, I'll leave her and there's no way that I'm with Alice, living with my woman."

"You're so confident, are you sure you're getting married to a woman you haven't met, Nath?" Leonathan hits Leonardo's arm without a cue, and leaves after doing so. "Didn't you have to focus on looking for her right now?! Don't think about Alice and her son, Nath."

"I have to think of them, if not, where is my caring as a friend and where is my love for the woman who has driven me crazy for almost a year?!" suhut Leonathan was tight with a large volume, he walked into the living room and sat back on the carpet. His back is on the sofa.

Leonardo, who was confused, then reflected the smoke coming out of his mouth and nose while walking after his brother. The man came to think, like Leonathan, whose mind was in turmoil every day. However, yes, she always tried to deal with it and that was the positive value of her brother. Leonathan does not give up easily even though most likely his brain and physique ask to stop fighting.

"You're gonna have to go with Alice?"

"I'm just tired of facing his nature as if it had me. I've asked her many times to stay away from me, I mean, I want her to understand that there's no love for her anymore."

"Do you want me to do something to Alice?"

Leonathan who had been sitting on the sofa lngsung changed the position of the body to upright. "Something like what? You can't do anything cruel, Nard. How is he my best friend."

"You're thinking too much about it, but you yourself can't be firm with yourself about Alice. If you really loved your woman, you would have gone crazy looking for her and stopped confusing Alice. As for that woman, Alice knows that you still care, Nath. That's why he still dares to hope and pursue your feelings. You're the one who's less strict."

"So what do you want to do?"

"Not me but you!" Leonathan shook his head, he was puzzled by his sister's intentions. "Follow me to Jogja, and we'll start there. Your job is not only that, you also have to give Alice a Mixing Cafe so that she can live without you, and not rely on you. If you want to focus on finding your woman, get out of Bali. Because I know, she's definitely not around here, Nath."

"I'll wait for her, at least until she gives birth."

"As far as you are concerned, all decisions remain in your hands. I as a little sister can only give you advice." Leonathan moved his head up and down before putting a piece of apple into his mouth. "Think of my advice, let alone you helping Alice not with all your heart. I know, your heart's not for him, Nath. If you have to leave Alice, leave immediately. Faster is better."

His conversation with his sister that night was never forgotten by Leonathan. The man continued to ring about the sentence that came out of Leonardo's lips about Brielle who might have gone from Bali, as well as other suggestions that told him to leave Alice. Isn't it cruel that she left Alice when her best friend was about to give birth in a few weeks?

Therefore, Leonathan will not grant Leonardo's advice. The man prefers to stand beside Alice until the woman manages to bring the child in her womb to the world. Yes, Leonathan continues to accompany Alice, until the guardian of his love really brought out a beautiful baby. The daughter that his father did not recognize was named Abigail. Alice and Leonathan gave him a name.

"You came to Bali just to see me?" alice asked Naomi and Leonardo, who had just entered Alice and Abigail's room where she was feeding the baby. Leonathan who came in did not immediately see the beautiful face of Abigail, but he was more concerned with the mobile phone. Leonardo, who did not want to see, nodded before standing next to his brother.

"But we can't stay here too long."

"Tomorrow morning has to come back," said Leonardo who understood Alice, the woman smiled as she stroked her child's forehead. "Congratulations on your birth" she added, which made Alice smile and thanked him.

"God! The prize is outside, for a minute, I'll take it." Leonardo shook his head as Naomi smiled at him with her hands pinching the man's arm as it passed by.

"You forget, I get it" commented Leonathan's sister, grimacing. While Naomi who does not care just respond with a nod of the head and then look for where the goods that have been purchased from Jogja specifically for mothers and beautiful baby girls nan adorable.

Leonathan's mind was not in the same room with all of them. The man was focused on the men he had in Jogja. Because she is suspicious of her own sister's lover, Naomi may hide Brielle.

Leonathan's suspicions were supported by Leonardo's information a few weeks ago that Brielle was no longer in Bali. So he decides to search for Brielle secretly without the help of his sister or Naomi. Both are unbelievable.

"What are you busy with, Nath? I've noticed you keep staring at the phone, is that a job?"

Leonardo, who could not help his curiosity, asked without glancing at the object in Leonathan's grasp. He asked with a look towards Alice who was in fact curious. Even he himself has not been congratulated on the birth of his little angel.

The man who had restored his hair with his left hand looked over. "Yes, you could say so," replied Leonathan later.

The serious look on his face could not be hidden. Even he seemed disappointed as soon as he read the message he had just received, telling him that Brielle's search had not been fruitful. Not only in Jogja, Leonathan even mobilized rental people scattered to several cities in Java.

"You're looking for Brielle?" guess Alice who did not miss a bit, even Leonathan who heard almost turned to her. "You wouldn't be that serious if the reason wasn't Brielle, Nath."

Leonathan held back his eyes to look at Alice and Leonardo. Even the cold, heavy voice he had prepared had to be locked up first. This is not a good time to be honest. He had to keep this surreptitious search secret from anyone. "It's up to you to think I'm busy what, obviously I can't linger here. You know, the cafe I run isn't just one or two."

Naomi, who had just found a present for Alice and Abigail, immediately put her on the couch before she threw her butt in there. "So you're really busy messing around with cafes?" alice asked once more and Leonathan just moved his head, rather than her emotions wouldn't it be better to keep his mouth shut? They will not suspect any more.

"If you're busy, just leave." Alice's understanding side began to appear, she even managed to make Leonathan stare at her. "There's Naomi and Leonardo looking after me and Abigail. You can go back to the cafe, Nath."

"Okay," Leonathan broke up before he completely moved from where he stood. "I'm putting them to you, Nard."

"Not to worry."

Patting his sister's shoulder, he approached Alice who had finished providing nutrition for the little Abigail who was now asleep. "Be a good boy" Leonathan said before landing his kiss on Abigail's forehead.

"There's no such affection for me?" ask the mother of the son whom Leonathan kissed without shame. Even that question made Naomi cough. Leonardo himself until glared at it. While Leonathan who had clenched his hands on his side just cleared his throat before giving a thin smile to Alice. "Nothing, Nath?"

"You already know, the answer remains the same and will never change," while removing the smile on her lips. Alice took a deep breath as Leonathan pressed down with a voice so soft, "remember our status." He really took his foot out of the room.

Since the hospital incident Leonathan slowly loved Abigail with a sincere heart. This morning she was at Alice's house with two hands holding Abigail. Very carefully Leonathan did so because it was his first time touching a baby. Because of his anxiety, Leonathan could not hold his lips to land on the smooth cheek containing Abigail's.

"You're a very beautiful little angel, how can your father refuse your presence?" murmured the muscular man while fondling the cute baby who blinked his eyes many times and punctuated with a mouth yawn. "If I were to become a papa, I would be so grateful to have such an adorable and beautiful baby like you." Pulling his corner to form a smile, Leonathan touched Abigail's tiny fingers. "Be strong, be an independent child like your mother. She must be proud to have given birth to a child like you. You're Abigail, I believe you can be a successful and useful child in the future."

Alice, who had just come out of her room, heard the last words that came out of Leonathan's lips. The woman smiled widely and slowly walked over to Leonathan. He settles so that his footsteps are not heard by Leonathan, until finally a pair of hands that managed to circle in the abdomen of the man that surprised the owner. Holding back an irritated look, Leonathan cleared his throat. "Thank you Uncle Nathan. Abigail must have listened and done it" said Alice, whose voice sounded like a baby imitating.

"If you're done eating, have breakfast."

"You're worried about me?"

"Whatever I worry about my best friend, have breakfast. I have to work."

"Guet me to sleep Abigail" Alice's pinta tightened her arms around Leonathan's stomach. "If you don't want to, I won't eat breakfast."

"Without begging I'd do it."

"okay!"

Alice, who was already excited, pulled her two hands from Leonathan's stomach wrapped in a white shirt. He wanted to throw a lip at Leonathan's cheek, but he hesitated when the man's sharp gaze was on him, even before he brought his face closer. Still with his feet on his tiptoes, Leonathan understood the gestures of Alice who wanted to kiss him.

"Titip Abigail again." Leonathan nodded and passed, he headed towards the living room and left Alice in the dining room by himself.

"I won't let you get any more sassy."
