Love Blocked Promise

Love Blocked Promise
Charles Abraham

"What is this, James Master's wits?" Andrew finally expressed his suspicions.

"I don't know Ndrew either! but that possibility remains." said Daven, who apparently did not fully believe.

"Then let's just move now, sir! I don't want anything to happen to my daughter."

"I don't want anything to happen to my son Ndrew either. You're directing our men now!" Andrew nodded his head, hearing Daven's orders.

Daven and the others, walking while sneaking close to the building in front of him. Daven's frown was crispy, astonished to see the building that looked so quiet. Not one of the guards was on guard.

"Ndrew, why is the place deserted? are we in the wrong place?" Daven turned his head towards Andrew who also looked calmer.

"Hmm, we're not going to be happy, sir! they've kissed us. And I'm more convinced that this is James. He purposely directed us to come here. Mom, Dad, you have to be more careful, too, because there might be traps everywhere" said Andrew, who is good at reading the situation.

They came back closer and closer to the building, and their journey was really smooth, thus breaking Andrew's guess, if the other party had set a trap for them.

"Ndrew, where are all of our men? why don't they look like one?" Because they are too focused forward, they do not realize that it turns out their men disappeared without all traces.

"Oh, fuck! looks like we've really been framed sir." said Andrew.

"Yes, that's right! you've all been in our trap!" Daven and the others turned back to look at the figure who had just spoken.

"Who are you?!" Daven knitted his eyebrows toward a man of high rank, like himself, who was accompanied by large men, who pointed pistols at Daven and the others.

The man who was none other than Carlos, looked at Harold, Ellen and Daven with an indecipherable gaze. Without realizing it, the two neutrals already look shiny like they want to cry. Carlos turned his face away, and seemed to wipe something that fell from the corner of his eye.

Ellen's heartbeat, instantly beating fast, saw the figure of the Man in front of her. There was a sense of wanting to hold that figure tightly. Ellen herself was confused by the feeling she was feeling right now.

"You don't need to know who I am. You will know by yourself later." said Carlos who can already master the situation.

"All of you, take them inside! and remember my message! do not let you guys___" Carlos did not continue his speech, he just looked at his men with an intimidating look. All of his men instantly understood the intent of the gaze from Carlos.

Daven and Andrew can now only be driven into the building, because to fight was useless, they will still not be able to win, it will endanger the lives of those they love. Just who was confused, who was that guy? and why he did this to his family, and he didn't know the man at all.

Daven and the others are now tied up in the building. Ellen had started crying and her face looked very frightened. But, somehow no one dared to yell at Ellen to stop crying. Carlos was actually seen closing his eyes while sitting leaning on a chair with his arms crossed. Whether she was actually asleep or not strong enough to see Ellen's cry, only she knew.

"Hey, coward! who the hell are you? and why are you doing all this to my family? what's our fault? Huh uh?! Where are you my son and his daughter? Are you James's man?" Daven asked in succession, but none of them were answered by Carlos. He still faithfully closed his eyes.

"Where's your boss James? Is he too cowardly to show his face?" this time it was Andrew who opened his voice.

Carlos stood up and swung his legs to approach Daven and Andrew.

"Look! His son and daughter and teacher are fine now. One more thing, this has nothing to do with the man you called James, and you know, he sacrificed his life to help your son who was about to get shot by my men."

Daven and the others, gasping with the enlarged netra, heard Carlos' speech.

"You don't joke, motherfucker! James couldn't die." Daven's tone of voice grew even higher. There was regret in his heart, for he had accused James, the mastermind of everything that happened.

"You guys take it easy, James is still alive. The girl who lodged in his body, can already be removed. But, he has not been conscious until now." explained Carlos casually.

"Who are you really? you keep us here, doing nothing to us? you even helped James? what is your real intention?" this time Daven's tone of voice was already low. There was a strange sigh that arose in his heart as his eyes were rubbed with Carlos's bead of eyes.

"You'll know in a minute." Carlos left Daven and landed his body again, sitting in his chair.

From the direction of the roof came the sound of helicopters passing over the building where they were, and landed on an empty expanse near the building.

Middle-aged men of Harold and Ellen's age were seen descending along with a young man, the same age as Daven.

They walked gallantly towards the building where Daven and the others were being held captive.

"How's Harold doing, Ellen? long time no see." the middle-aged man, greeted with a cynical grin at the corner of his lips.

"C-Charles!" harold and Ellen exclaimed along with the widened netra who was shocked to see a figure they had not seen for a very long time. A person who had once been a close friend of the two of them.

"It turns out your memories are still good!" Charles stared sinisterly at Harrold and Ellen.

"Is this all you? ask Harold.

" How do you think? just so you know, the one sitting there is my son. The pain of my heart, on you two will never fade before you both feel the sadness that I feel. All this time, I've been waiting for the moment where you lost the one you love, like I lost Hanna. And now before the eyes of the two of you, I will take away the life of your only son!" Charles pointed at Daven who looked puzzled by the curious look on his face.

"What do you mean by losing Hanna? where's Hanna now?" This time Ellen who opened her voice, wanted to know the condition of the friend who had been missed so much.
